Customer claims window treatment results in poor fit

COMPLAINT: Mary Shepherd, Stoughton, Mass.

"Blinds To Go in Stoughton installed five vertical blinds in my townhouse. On two of the blinds, the cords are too long. The store's solution is to take the blinds down and install new blinds. I don't want to go through the hassle of having the blinds removed and reinstalled, so the issue has never been resolved.

"Also, when I ordered the blinds, the salesperson told me that if any of the tabs the blind slats fit into break, I could pick up some metal braces from them for free. I've since had three tabs break, but when I went to the store to get some metal braces, I was told they were no longer free and that those parts weren't under warranty."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want the cords to fit properly, and two packages of the metal braces."

"According to the complaint, we did offer to repair the product. We're still willing to take down the blinds and repair the cords. The braces are no longer an item that are given away for free. Every order now comes with some included instead - we do have extra available [for purchase] if necessary. The slats breaking is due to normal wear and tear and isn't covered under the warranty."
