Landscaping reviews in Boston

They showed up on time and always responded quickly to emails and phone calls. Workers did a thorough job explaining what was going to be done. Patio looks great.

This nursery is top notch and best in the area. The prices are great and the people that work there are very knowledgeable. don't go anywhere else to buy stuff for your landscaping!!

Communication was good,
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
kept on top of the potential work. He called and followed up with me, he even came to my yard when I wasn't there to give me a rough estimate. We met in person, I changed a few things, and he came back with a new quote within a few hours.
I hired him and he began work about 2 - 3 weeks later. The work was fantastic because we had a pretty bad situation. He planted all of the plants that he had listed on his quote, and to be honest I think the planted more than what's listed.
Overall I am satisfied but the pessimist in me is worried about the durability of the project.
I emailed
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and asked for advice and how much it would cost for him to come out to maintain it once in awhile. He emailed me back and gave me some solid advice and told me how much it would cost for him to come out once a month.
I have attached some before and after pictures.
I would hire
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
again, but this time in the backyard.

Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
came out to give me an estimate on some various cleanup jobs in the yard. He was very punctual and friendly to deal with.
I scheduled the work and couldn't be happier with the results. The yard looks amazing and I look forward to having them out again for some other items on the list.

I met
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
when he first came to do the soil test. He seemed very professional, knowledgeable and willing to offer advice and help. He met the rate for fertilizing that I had gotten from another landscaper, even though it was lower than his usual rate. His workers were thorough and efficient. It turned out that they used a different fertilizer than the one he intended. Because this one prevent grass see from growing, he did not charge us for that. he's going to reseed in the fall. This company is growing quickly and they are doing their best to keep up.
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
respond to emails and calls, so I still feel they are doing a good job. When they get caught up, I will reconsider their overall grade.

Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
was very responsive and easy to reach; his crew was excellent and hard working. Neighbors remarked on work ethic and punctuality of the crew. Loved working with this company. I am so happy I found them after a terrible experience with someone else.

We were recommended to
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
via Angies List and other folks. We spoke on the phone to
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and set up a time for him to look and assess with us and then commence work. Both for snow removal and Mowing. and lawn care, all seasons. We had spring projects planned re Landscaping plantings etc

He told us his pricing for the mowing and weed wacking was $40 per time Or $45 if we wanted the beds weeded each time. He told us it was a good deal to go with the weeding. We chose $40 for the remainder of the season as we were doing major plantings in all our beds in the fall and it was wiser to wait till spring 2014 for the $45 per mow with weeding, when plantings were completed.
We also agreed to how snow removal worked and pricing for the season ahead. We followed up with an email to
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
, that same day, itemizing the meeting and pricing we agreed on after our meeting and the nature of the agreement so we could make sure we heard things the same way and we were all on the same page. We sent this email (which we held onto) to him. He never responded and never differed with any of the content in the email sent. We had advised him we would do this so we could make sure our start was a good one with understandings clear for all parties

After the intial mow. We thought he had mowed two more times but he was NOT with the crew that came so we assumed he was not with the crews as they did their maintenance. We then never saw him again, were never billed, he never called us, just stopped in Sept . Some crew came to the house two times after the initial mow, we assumed it was
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
's crew. As time had gone by we had not been billed. Leaves were not being done, there was no communication at all. Nothing happening, No call from him, and no bill, nothing. What he said he would do was not happening and we were concerned that something happened to him??

Finally we called
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
at the end of OCt. 2013 and didnt reach him but left word that we had not been billed for any work And also leaf removal was not being done and we have not had any communication from him and hoped things were in order and proceed.
We missed his one call back. He left a message saying that he came one time and the following two times his crew came by and the lawn looked mowed so he didnt do anything. (that was back in Sept) He just plain stopped coming and never alerted us to anything and never returned. His only message back was reallly cryptic . We have no explanation for who did these 2 subsequent mows back in Sept. and clearly called him back with a stunned response in hearing what he shared in his message. We have called back no less than 5 times to try to reach him to go over this isue and resume services. He has not returned our calls. We were asking him why he didnt call us if this were not as he and we had arranged or understood,. We had no way to know that whoever mowed our lawn was not his crew. We didnt know him or his crew well enough to have any ability to identify a crew as they were working. It was the oddest thing we had every heard his denial that it was his crew that did the two subsequent mows.

The initial meeting was good with
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
, the follow up email was sent by us to him and we were off and running.

Anyway, we have left alot of times for
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
to call us back or leave times that work for him , he has never called us back We wanted to resume services , now that he says it wasnt his company that didnt do the mowing in Sept and onward. And something clearly stopped his returning We never knew this info and had no idea of this information. It remains a mystery to us how this occurred. But clearly we had no bad feelings and wished to move forward having just learned from his brief message that it wasnt his company according to him. How to explain any of this was a mystery to us.
We don't have a landscape company that might have done this during that time frame. We had only one company under agreement and that was
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and no on else had been contacted for the services. We waited after the 3 mows to move on to leaf removal by his company as he detailed to us in his initial meeting. When this wasnt happening we called him.
Left word for him to resume all services as arranged and to move forward as we were pleased with the work, but didnt know what had happened to him. Why had he stopped in Sept. and never told us he did so??. He has not tried us back, no other messages. We don't know
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
well, but were going on Angie's list recommendations and friends who knew of him. We are displeased to not have a conversation with him about the experience he says he has had and why he didnt call us as customers and let us know earlier?? We were contacting him to resume and move onward. It is highly disconcerting to have someone in the same town, highly recommended, not behave professionally and treat others as they would wish to be treated themselves . Utter disregard and dismissal. Communication is poor at best and clearly the customer needs are not paramount. We cannot recommend his services. Sometimes when something like this happens, the true colors emerge.

From our perspective,Communication is an art and businesses that don't have this as a skill can clearly result in situations like this one. Attitude is so much of what makes a business's success.
Alot of time was spent in our
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
for a quality landscaper and this is a sad outcome of time, energy and poor results.

They did not call the day they came! I heard the leaf blower from my window and went out to see if it was
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
doing the work. They said the did a job down the street from our house so just started the work as they had the address. When I came out I explained all the work we needed done and it was no problem. They did a very nice clean up job of our yard. Just what we wanted.

I have been quite pleased with these several projects. The company created two lovely beds for planting, and with more than one of the projects, did not hesitate to add a little more work just to make it look right, without additional charge. After losing my long time lawn and yard service (the owner emigrated back to Europe!), I spent months looking for another company with whom to develop a relationship. This was the only company that was willing to (1) do what I requested rather than what they expected; (2) provide estimates within my budget, giving me flexibility to add or subtract what would work for my home and tastes; and (3) they made a real effort to avoid "selling," and checked every detail before proceeding with the work. They were also careful to warn me not to do something I was planning because it would not work, and when I insisted, they were gracious about doing it. When it did not work, they remained respectful, without any "I told you so!" Having now worked with them for several months, I have now given them another project to do: planting bulbs, perennials, and a bush. All in all, I am very pleased, and plan to use them for all yard, gardening, snow, and masonry needs. They are young people in a young company. They enjoy what they do, and pass that on to their crew and their customer. If you are looking for prize-winning artistry, it is too soon to tell, but in all probability, they are not there yet. However, I've observed elsewhere that their own designs are pleasing to the eye, and appropriate to the
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
(I am doing my own designs). If, like me, you are looking for a strong, responsible, and responsive company at reasonable costs and fees, then I do recommend them strongly - they will work with you!

Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
did a great job. Initially, they were responsive and handled the project quickly. They were informative of what they were doing, and consulted me with different options. My yard looked totally different. The company's attention to detail was excellent.
I could go on about the level of service. The best evidence, however, was that my neighbor hired them a week after he saw their work on my yard. I highly recommend
Boston Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and his team.
