"BEWARE!!!! I contracted with 
to fabricate new doors and it was a total disaster. By far THE WORST CONTRACTOR I've ever dealt with. The owner, , does not listen, does not take direction, and is a total nighmare to deal with. I quickly realized he could not do the job nor would he be able to coordinate with other contractors working on other pieces of the renovation.
First, I made the mistake of contracting with him before checking references or Angie's List. After dealing with him for a week or so I became concerned about his behavior so I personally went to one of his references from Commonwealth Avenue who gave me an earful about the poor quality of the doors and the problems in dealing with him. I was personally shown where pieces of molding were pulling away from the doors as well as the shoddy installation work (and he used them as a reference!). When I confronted he became very defensive and blamed the home owner for the problems, which I found to be his typical mode of behavior. That was just the beginning of my problems. After giving him a consideable downpayment I had a series of very disturbing encouters with him (he's always looking for more money and will show up at your home unannounced looking for it) and decided to cut my loses and canceled the contract. We ended-up in court and I subsequently learned that I was not the only one who ended-up in court with this guy. Apparently he's a regular at small claims court in .
I eventually got the work done with another door fabricator and I am very happy with the results but don't make the same mistake I did. This guy is bad news despite his pretty website and ads in the Back Bay newspaper.
Also note, according to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' website he is no longer licensed as of 3/4/2011. That should tell you something about how he runs his business.
I joined Angie's List just to let people know how truly bad this guy is and to save someone else the aggravation, wasted time, and lost money I had to endure dealing with this nightmare of a contractor. Home remodeling is challenging enough without the added pain you will endure with and ."

"They were actually amazing. His crew is reliable, on time, easy to get a hold of, and they are detail oriented. I am very comfortable using this company. If we were to remodel our home again we would definitely use him again. He made sure we knew everything that was going on with our project. I had a vision of what I want and he exceeded our expectations. At the very end of the work, they send someone to clean twice. This is what it means to follow up on a project. I always try to recommend this company to my friends. "

"Even though we initially ordered a full length opening, we quickly realized that with all the traffic the door saw, we needed a bar in the middle to prevent the kids from pushing out the screen. had no problem with that and added a central piece that did the trick and looks like it was originally made that way. No extra $. Plus, one of the best parts of the new storm door is that it kept our old house much warmer as there were no drafts coming in anymore!"

"We were given s name from our real estate agent and contacted him along with 3 other contractors. It was obvious from the start that the scope of the work was semi-daunting for but he has a "Can Do" spirit and a great attitude. He was by far the best price we got and was the one we liked the most (2 very important factors). The work started out with the needed demo (about 2 weeks, the house was a mess but he cleaned it every day), followed by the moving of doors and walls, replacing damaged wall board and prepping most of the unit for the remodel (about 3 weeks). The actual remodel of the unit took about 3 months in total after the demo and prep-work due to delivery delays from the various suppliers I used (cabinets, plumbing, windows/doors, etc.). Our original goal was to be in by Thanksgiving but we didn't get in until just before New Years. was always at the unit when he was supposed to be and was respectful of the other owners in the building."

"This was a major project. The contractor was attentive to my needs as well as the workers. He was aware we were living there and worked to keep dust to a minimum. The kitchen and open floor plan came out better than I ever anticipated. Bonus wife is a designer and helped with the colors and countertops."
