called as he said he would to let me know he was on his way. Showed up on time and ready to go to work. Diagnosed the problem and had the parts to make the repairs. While there he cleaned the exhaust grate and removed the frost that had built up in the freezer.

Called them and explained what model dishwasher I had and what the problem was. When the repairman came he mentioned he wasn't informed of that and had to make another trip out which I wasn't too happy about. However, he did come back and was very professional and fixed the dishwasher the same day.

I called on Thursday and they were out Friday Morning. Two technicians came and had the oven fixed in under an hour. They went so far as to look at the fridge and saw a lightbulb out and replaced free of charge. They were both very porfessional. We have a dog and they were both very considerate of the dog and had a spare treat for him. We will use

I would be extremely cautious about hiring these guys. They were brought in by my leasing company to fix my broken dryer, and I came home that night to find my iPad and $200 Beats headphones stolen. No other signs of forced entry in the apartment.

After two days I never received any call back. Two days
later, I called the company and finally received a call from the repairman the
next day. He told me that the circuit boards were back ordered from Maytag and
he would try to get one locally, but it may take until late March or early
April to get a circuit board.
I called a few local appliance repair shops, not from Angie’s
list, and both had the correct circuit board in staock. Plus I found four
distributors on the internet that had the circuit board in stock. I made an
appointment with one of the non Angies list repair shops. The gentleman came
over the next day, installed the new circuit board. The dryer works fine now.
I called

to cancel
my appointment because nobody ever contacted me. The dispatcher said that she
did call me. I checked both my cell phone and my home phone and there were
no messages left for me.

work on their communication issues. As someone stated in another review, they
were prompt to respond on the first call but are lacking in follow up. If they
have a dispatcher or an office person, it should not be that difficult to call
customers back with a status. And If I can find a part on the internet, why can’t

The whole experience was much better than expected. I got Ace Appliance's information from the Fisher & Paykel website as one of a handful of local authorized F&P repair providers. The first one I called could not come out for about a week. I called Ace and

was on time, professional and curtious. He knew the machine well, analyzed it and quickly diagnosed the problem. He estimated that the cost for parts would be pretty high and that I should probably consider replacing it entirely. I decided to repair it and

promptly ordered the parts, called me as soon as they were in and even offered to come on a Saturday. He completed the repair in less time than originally thought and at a lower cost than originally estimated.

I had a horrendous experience with them last week.
They gave me a 3 hour window to wait for them last Wednesday, between 11am and
2pm. So I arranged my schedule to be home for 3 hours in the middle of the
day. No problem, it was worth it to me to get the dishwasher

I spoke to the dispatcher at length and gave him my
name and address, and the make and model of my dishwasher, and I told him what I
needed. I bought the appliances from them, and they installed my refrigerator,
dishwasher, microwave and my oven. They also sent a repair person earlier this
year to my home to replace the igniter on my oven. They had me in their
system! Despite all of this, the dispatcher gave the repair person an address
in Roslindale that does not even exist. I live in West

, where they came
twice before to deliver and install my appliances and to make a repair earlier
this year.

The repairman called me at home and I have him my
correct address. He came by at five minutes to 2pm, and after 5 minutes he told
me I needed a spring on the dishwasher door. I knew this already. He said he
would have to order the part, and I would have to block off yet again a 3 hour
window to wait for them. He said the dispatcher did not tell him what was wrong
with my dishwasher.

At this point I got on the phone with the
dispatcher and he claimed that I gave him the wrong address and my phone did not
work (the same phone I was calling him on and the one his dispatcher called me
on twice that day)! Then he started calling me "sweetie", "honey" and "little
lady"! At that point I used some choice words and hung up on him. I was

The repairman said he would have the owner call
me. He told me that the dispatcher had "problems". This was last week, and I
still have not heard from the owner. No apology for getting my address wrong,
my phone number wrong, not sending the repairman with the correct part in the
first place, and for his dispatcher talking to me in a patronizing manner (after
we spent over $10,000 with them on appliances for our kitchen over 10 years
ago)! To add insult to injury, when I called the dispatcher, he had the wrong
make and model noted for my dishwasher (the one they had sold me and installed -
incorrectly, for me in the first place).

Needless to say, I am done with them. I am a very
reasonable woman, and as a small business owner I understand the need for good
customer service. They are terrible!

The repairman showed up on Saturday, knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it. He was courteous and respectful and on time. I have used Boston Appliance for the last 13 years for all of my major appliance repairs.

Wonderful education on the care of high end appliances and what the owner can do to maintain all appliances. Also recommended a warranty product for the Sub-Zero as any work or part replacement would exceed the cost of the warranty. Indepth knowledge on all appliances and smart thinking about approriate service and use of warranty.

on Wednesday and he was able to come out same day, but that wouldn't work for my schedule. So we agreed for him to come on Friday, and he gave me a window of 11am-1pm. He arrived around 12:15 with his partner. Within about 10 minutes they diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote for the repair work. They had the spare parts needed in his truck. Total work tool about 1 hour 15 minutes, just as he had predicted. Overall they were prompt, courteous and very helpful.
I'm not sure about the cost of the parts vs. labor, since he did not itemize those costs on the bill. But based on my after-the-fact estimates for the parts (I looked online and found most of the items on ebay or at parts dealers), I think the retail cost for the parts was probably around $200, which means the labor was about $350 for two people, 1.5 hours of work. Not low-priced, but hey it's a Sub-Zero refrigerator so there's some premium implied. All in all it's certainly "within range" of what I would have expected and not something I'm complaining about.
