next day. He told me that the circuit boards were back ordered from Maytag and
he would try to get one locally, but it may take until late March or early
April to get a circuit board.

over the next day, installed the new circuit board. The dryer works fine now.

system! Despite all of this, the dispatcher gave the repair person an address
in Roslindale that does not even exist. I live in West

correct address. He came by at five minutes to 2pm, and after 5 minutes he told
me I needed a spring on the dishwasher door. I knew this already. He said he
would have to order the part, and I would have to block off yet again a 3 hour
window to wait for them. He said the dispatcher did not tell him what was wrong
with my dishwasher.
At this point I got on the phone with the
dispatcher and he claimed that I gave him the wrong address and my phone did not
work (the same phone I was calling him on and the one his dispatcher called me
on twice that day)! Then he started calling me "sweetie", "honey" and "little
lady"! At that point I used some choice words and hung up on him. I was

me. He told me that the dispatcher had "problems". This was last week, and I
still have not heard from the owner. No apology for getting my address wrong,
my phone number wrong, not sending the repairman with the correct part in the
first place, and for his dispatcher talking to me in a patronizing manner (after
we spent over $10,000 with them on appliances for our kitchen over 10 years
ago)! To add insult to injury, when I called the dispatcher, he had the wrong
make and model noted for my dishwasher (the one they had sold me and installed -
incorrectly, for me in the first place).
Needless to say, I am done with them. I am a very
reasonable woman, and as a small business owner I understand the need for good
customer service. They are terrible!
I'm not sure about the cost of the parts vs. labor, since he did not itemize those costs on the bill. But based on my after-the-fact estimates for the parts (I looked online and found most of the items on ebay or at parts dealers), I think the retail cost for the parts was probably around $200, which means the labor was about $350 for two people, 1.5 hours of work. Not low-priced, but hey it's a Sub-Zero refrigerator so there's some premium implied. All in all it's certainly "within range" of what I would have expected and not something I'm complaining about.”
