"The bathroom was the worst living space in the house and the reason we bought the house for about $20K less than comparable residences. 1930s Craftsman house whose bathroom had been remodeled on the cheap, repeatedly, leaving it an interior space with no ambient light (someone had walled up the one window), dark green paint, molding ceiling, tub with finish missing/rusting, and loose tile on the shower walls. Inspection from the crawl space below revealed rotting floorboards, some water damage to the joists, and "hasty" repairs consisting of 3/4" plywood held up by 2x4s.
Case came out, took pictures, and gave an estimate. For $100, they then came up with three different plans; bare minimum, minimum with extras, and a complete makeover. The plans consisted of floor plans, color schemes, lighting schemes, possible materials (differently priced depending on which plan), etc.
Case began on time, and completely removed everything down to the studs and floor boards in a day. Doing so then revealed the damage that needed to be repaired - to include studs that had been removed from load bearing walls, and studs and plates which had rotted away. In addition, the demolition process added 3" to the bathroom due to the layers and layers of paint, plywood, wallpaper, etc. on the walls. We also gained over an 1 1/2" on the floor.
Within 14 days, Case had completed scabbing in repairs, roughed the plumbing (to include a brand new stack and vent), roughed the electrical work (to include a new junction box and circuit panel for the house), installed the skylight, and installed the basics (sink, tub, and toilet). It took approximately another two weeks to put the drywall and tile in - the drywall was a scheduling issue, but the tile required hand crafting, especially since the floor of the old house had settled - this meant that various layers of subfloor needed to be built and hand placed in order to create a new, flat floor that would last.
Overall - the project was billed at about two weeks and ended up taking about six. Only four of those weeks was Case actually in the house - the waiting time had to do with scheduling, and the creation of a custom made linen cabinet built specifically for the bathroom.
This was a 6 week project - but it was a project done right - and no one should have to worry about the bathroom for another 20 years. "

"This became a 10 month project, as we found more things to add to the project as we went along. This is because the quality of the work and the relationship with EB was exceptional. Their assistance with the planning, choice of materials, and their advice as we proceeded was first rate in every way. Once the project started, they were punctual, professional, dependable, courteous and competent from the top to bottom of their organization; and as extensive as all this was, they planned and executed the work with absolute minimal intrusion. When all was completed we were glad to have it finally done, but we kind of hated to see them go."

"On March 27, 2008 my husband and I met with to go over the work to be done and receive a price from him. and myself met with my decorator to pick out the tile to be used in both kitchen and bath. My decorator ordered the tile for him. He was going to order the tile for bath shower. We were satisfied with his quote and gave him a $1000 deposit to buy materials. He was to start the following Monday. He called us and advised he couldn't make it he had an family emergency. He did come the following day and removed all of the back splash in the kitchen and removed the tile floor in our shower. I received invoices for the materials on order and purchased. I had pay for those. This was the last time we saw him. My husband and I called him numerous times to see when he was going to come back and finish and he would tell us and never show up. Starting Thursday, April 10th he discontinued taking our calls and as of Monday, April 14th his phone number was no longer in service."

"I was not at all pleased with . Our main liaison was an incredibly rude woman. She blatantly insulted us and was extremely uncooperative - despite our very best efforts to her over (even though we were the ones paying $340k for her services). The wrong materials were repeatedly ordered and installed, including the bricks, doors and oven. We ended up having to take care of many items post-closing even though we were repeatedly guaranteed such items would be completed by . A few of the other problems: horrible job on the interior paint, dirty hand-prints left all over the walls, cable outlets were not hooked up (I had to spend several hours in the attic doing so myself) and our shower was installed incorrectly leading to a leak underneath our walls that ruined a large portion of our hardwood floor. Buyer beware."

"Our 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom home was up for sale but everyone who came to see it said it needed another bathroom. We took it off the and had HMA come in to install the bathroom. The price ended up being exactly what they quoted, they showed up every morning on time, cleaned up after themselves, were polite, and did a very nice job. I did left them alone in my house while I went to work. We did receive an offer and sold our house soon after that."

" started strong, making lots of promises, and doing good carpentry work. However, he soon became distracted by other jobs, the quality of his work suffered, and in the end never finished the job he was hired to do. He left us with a kitchen that barely functioned and a monumental amount of work to be finished right before move-in day. As an added bonus, he never called to let us know that he wasn't coming back."

"First off, it took almost a week and four or five calls to get an appointment scheduled. Then, when came out, he was brusque and snippy the whole time he was in my home. I really got the impression that he didn't want my business and was trying to get rid of me. While in my home, he didn't take any measurements or any notes. When I asked him for a quote, I was told that I would have to pay him $2000 for a full kitchen design before he would give me a quote. When I asked for a ballpark, he tossed out a number that was $50-70,000 higher than any of the other quotes I received. If he didn't want my business, he certainly got what he wanted as a result of his behavior."

" was very professional and really seemed to know what she was talking about. While in our home, she took lots of notes and measured everything. Within a week, she had provided a basic kitchen design and ballpark pricing. We decided to sell our house and buy another one, otherwise I would definitely have used them. The house we're looking at buying needs some work done in the kitchen and will be the only ones I call."

"I am also having my kitchen renovated as we speak by . They are doing as great of a job with that as they did my deck. It took two days for them to finish my deck which I thought was great timing. The price was great and it even included the labor as well. I am very pleased with this company; I feel they are doing a great job."

"I was very impressed because the original shower was a lot of work to remove. They did a fantastic job and I would recommend them to anyone. The work was very detailed and was reasonable prices as well."
