Window Replacement Reviews in Baltimore

I was surprised that the company kept right on top of this very small project from start to finish
After the visit from the company salesman, an installation professional visited us to assess the difficulty of the project and plan for any hurdles. In our old house, there are always plenty of these. In fact, they were so meticulous, the factory even called to assure me that the production of my door was right on schedule.
When the installation team arrived, they were prompt and efficient. The installation professional arrived about two hours after the project had begun and advised the installers on the way to avoid the pitfalls presented by the old walls.
When they left, one would not have known they had been there.
The result was beautiful: a lovely door that floods the basement with light, one that opens and closes smoothly and easily, and insulates as well. We love it.

I called
Bros as one of my first actions as a first-time home owner. They responded to my inquiry quickly and we set a day and time for them to see what needed to be done. On that day and the day they came to put in the windows, they let me know their ETA and it was really close if not a bit earlier than what we had set up. Though they had employees putting in the windows,
stopped here a few times checking things out making sure it was going well and no problems were encountered. Their staff who installed the windows were courteous and very professional. The speed that they were performing their work was incredible, but it wasn't speed due to laziness or just shoving them into the wall, but a speed and accuracy because they must be doing this a lot and know exactly what they were doing and are quite proficient at it.
The windows are more than ok, they're beautiful; the installation looks so good i don't really want to put the curtains back up. It's very nice to have my first home-owner action turn out so well. I have already and will continue to recommend them to friends and coworkers.

They came to my home several times, & explained to me
all my options. They were very patient & thorough.
The order was placed & the material arrived earlier than
I expected. The installation went very smoothly. Before they left they made
sure that everything was cleaned up.

I hired
Baltimore Window Installers Provider Name Locked
in Baltimore, MD. He reinforced my rooftop deck, replace some aging boards, and stained the deck and staircase. He also reinforced loose siding on my house. Was a little tough to get a hold of at times because he doesn't have an email address but he was on time and did good work.

This service was done in two parts. In October, 2013, the windows were replaced, then in December, the doors and storm door were done. The owner, Dayson

, was very friendly, professional, and very eager to please. His crew of workers are excellent. They are very skilled and conscientious about doing a very professional job. They arrived promptly on the days the work was scheduled and went right to work very efficiently. We were very pleased with the outcome of both jobs. There were a couple of minor things that needed to be corrected, but they were taken care of promptly and without question. The only reason I gave a B for responsiveness was because we did have to wait for a return call from the owner a couple of times during the process, but I am sure it was because of being very busy since this is a small family owned company and the owner is present on the job most of the time and works along with his crew. The products they sell are top quality and Mr.

has assured us that if there is ever a problem in the future, he will see that it is taken care of. He is a very honest and sincere person, so I believe that will be the case. We would definitely use this company in the future and would recommend him to any of our friends and neighbors.

A very quick and professional installation. They will be back for the second phase, soon! The only odd part is the "lead remediation" that adds several hundred dollars to the contract entails nothing more than posting a sign on my front door that says "lead hazard." As far as I could see, there was no effort by the crew to wear masks, etc., and clean up was just the usual drop clothes and plastic sheets.

The sales rep came to our house and gave us the pitch of how our house will be a model house in the neighborhood and
Baltimore Window Installers Provider Name Locked
they take pride in their product and would like us to advertise for the company after the work was done. Around the same time, we had other estimates and Prestige was somewhat in the middle but, we figured we'll go with a company that's been around for a while.
We sign the contract and paid the deposit. After the 3 days grace period passed, we where contacted by the company to set up measurements. One of their specialists came by and measured our windows. So far so good. About 4 weeks later, we where told that the windows arrived and asked to set up 2 days for installation. So we did. Up until this point, everything went very smooth and we were very pleased with our decision.
A couple of days before the scheduled date, it rained significantly but on the first scheduled day, there was no rain. my wife and I took time off from work (we need to give one week notice) to wait for the installers to come those 2 days. Around 10-11AM, when nobody showed up, we called Prestige to find out what happens. We were told that the job had to be re-scheduled due to weather conditions (the rain from the days before). We were upset that nobody bothered to call us and let us know. They appologized and promissed to finish the sned enough people to finish the entire job on one day. When they came that day, three people showed up around 10AM and when they realized what their up against, they told us there

no way they can finish in one day. Looking back, I should have stopped them right then, terminate the contract and

Prestige to recover our deposit. What followed was a complete lack of respect for our time and schedule. It took 4 days to change the windows, spread over a couple of weeks. During this time, we had no clue if anybody will come and at what time. One evening, we were told the next day they'll come at 10AM. At 8AM, I was in my PJs when they showed up. Sometimes we would be told that "

for a couple of days, we would call them and sure enough,

would say: "Oh ya, we scheduled them for Thursday..." scheduled them? Did you talk to us about it?
Anyway, I could go on and on about this.
Bottom line, we like the windows now, but there is no way in h*** I would go through this again...

The installation went really well. The installers came a little late, but called me. They stayed until the installation was finished around 7 pm. They cleaned up after themselves and we've had some heavy rain and snow since the installation and the windows are terrific. They were careful not to let my pets out were pleasant and polite. We experienced torrential rain on the original date of the appointment, and I felt like they were pressuring me to keep the appointment because they install in all weather. I rescheduled because I didn't want rain pouring in through the open windows and I truly believe people can't do their best when they are uncomfortable. They rescheduled without an argument.

My only gripe comes with the sales rep who also was knowledgeable, but maybe not the best communicator? I live in a homeowners association community and our exterior windows are required to be a specific color. If you come into my home it is obvious the interior windows have to be white. All of the trim in my home is white.
Baltimore Window Installers Provider Name Locked
came in much lower than competitive installers. As it turned out - and this is partially my fault because I didn't understand. I think it was his job to make me understand. The sales rep was quoting me windows that were beige on the inside as well as the outside. Every other company quoted me on windows with a beige exterior and white interior because it is obvious. When they arrived, I flipped. I do think it was up to the sales rep to point out to me that these windows would not be two colors. The information is in the contract, but in small type and not part of the body of the contract. I was forced to buy a second set of windows, so the job ultimately cost me much more than planned. However, I paid for one installation. If at that point, I said screw it and ordered windows with a competitor contractually I would have been paying for labor twice.

To add insult to injury, the owner tried to make me feel as though he was doing me a favor by pointing out that I could get a tax credit by donating the windows to a non profit. I chose not to accept delivery of the first set of windows because I had not place to store them while we waited for that non profit to show up. I do hope they found a good home.

The work itself was good, great in fact. It was the communication with the contractor that was difficult at times. The work took much longer than expected, and resulted in us moving one week later than anticipated.
