I needed the job done quickly and
, owner of
, promised me that the work would be completed by the time I needed it done and it would be done well. He and
worked non-stop to finish a quality job within about 3 days, they cleaned up completely and even put my books back on the shelf. They kept me in the loop as to what they were going to do and when they would be doing it. I plan to use
for any future remodeling work and will recommend them to friends and family.

I have 2 properties managed by a property manager that needed minor work last summer (
2013). Unresolved problems occurred at both. For my rental property, there was water damage to the ceiling of a hallway. The estimate from Dove (6-4-2013) included replacing some of the ceiling and repainting for $800. When the workers arrived, they decided that they only needed to do a patch. My property manager spoke to the company about the difference between the estimate and actual price due to much less work being done. They agreed that the $250 deposit given to them by my property manager was sufficient. However, my property manager had not informed me of this right away. I contacted Dove to discuss problems with my personal property and at that time was told I owed $550 on my rental property. I paid with a credit card and only found out later that the actual price was only $250. I have been asking for a refund but have been unsuccessful. The length of time it has taken is due to my procrastination and not on the part of the company.
The second complaint involves my personal house. I needed my old back door replaced with a new door and some plastering of my kitchen ceiling. My concern is with the door. The new door was custom made by myself – a space was cut and a window inserted and a dog door space was cut but the door not inserted. I was given an estimate (5-24-2013) which I approved. When the workers came (7-25-2013), the previous door was removed and the new door placed. I was in the next room about 30 ft. away. While installing the new door I was told that they wouldn't be able to get the door in perfectly and there
would still be small gaps from the frame. I expected that and it was not a problem. After the door was hung they offered to put in the dog door, install the latch for the window (unfortunately it was put on backwards), and install the door knob and dead bolt without extra charges, which was much appreciated.
When they finished the job, I looked at the inside of the door and everything looked good. I signed the form and the workers left. However, later that day I saw the outside of the door. There was a hammer hole in the upper right corner. Despite being in the next room, no one told me or showed me what happened. I emailed the company and was told I would have to pay to have it fixed. I refused to pay for the repair. I was told that someone would stop by to look at and 'fix' the hole. The same men came back (7-30-2013) and put wood putty in the hole. They told me to wait a couple of days and then I would have to prime and paint the door myself. Since wood putty usually needs to be sanded I asked them when they would come back to sand it and make sure it dried flush with the door. I was told they didn't need to do that. At no time was there ever an apology from the
workers or company. After the wood putty was allowed to dry it contracted leaving an indentation. The surface is rough and needs to be sanded. I tried to contact the company by phone (twice) but my calls were not returned. Over the past 6-8 months I tried email contact (3-4 times). I was actually told that fixing the damage they caused to my door was a 'favor' done by their
company. I am requesting that the door be replaced (I will purchase the door) with all the customization as well as painting. Or, repair the damage created by their workers so that no one can tell there was any damage in addition to returning the money spent on the door ($289).

Baltimore Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
is truly one of the good guys out there. We own a 140 year old city home, which was renovated 15 years ago with less than ideal attention to detail. Water came into our house after the two major hurricanes, and we had multiple contractors come in and charge us money here and there for patch fixes that didn't work. We continued to see the water enter the house. We also had problems with a room that stayed too cold in winter and too warm in summer, rendering a large room of ours unusabl.e
Baltimore Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
initially came to address the room, but slowly, as he uncovered problems in the room, he demonstrated to us why we were getting water into the house, and took 40-50 pictures showing us all the places where water was coming in or potentially coming in.
His crew spent most of the summer on an incredibly detailed effort to make these repairs. Diligent, unwilling to cut corners, honest,

and his crew did yeoman's work in fixing our problem.
We spent a fortune fixing the wall, but have not had any water come in despite major subsequent thunderstorms with driving rain which would otherwise have had water come into the house.
We trust no one else to do our work. We are now getting the rest of the work that needed to be done evaluated by

-- we didn't bother with other companies. It's just not worth the lower cost if the job isn't done right.

stopped by to talk about fixing the back of my house.
I live in a 100 year old row home in the
Baltimore Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
-North neighborhood. The job was to remove the fire escape and siding, repair the degrading brick then replace the fire escape with a wooden deck structure. The back of the house shows signs of foundation settlement in the area of the fire escape and there were too many unknown issues for us to settle on a contract to accomplish the work.

was honest and strait-forward in our discussions of what he knew about the work and I did not feel pressured into deciding on how to plan it. I decided not to hire
Baltimore Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
because there is flat roof work at the top of the rear of my house and
Baltimore Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
stated at the beginning that flat roofs were not their specialty.

I left a message for provider about remodeling project and he called back within a few hours. After explaining to him the details of what I was looking to have done, he mentioned that he did not typically do excavations of basement entryways and I would be better off using a different provider. He was kind enough to also provide a reference for someone who did do excavation work.
Although he could not do this job, I was very impressed by his professionalism, helpfulness and sincerity, and would be happy to call him again for future jobs.

The crew arrived on time and did an adequate job on the kitchen cabinets and interior windows. The kitchen floor was not completely clean, but improved. Since further work was to be done in the condo, we figured that it was good enough.
HOWEVER, the bathroom was a completely different story. We had been warned that some surfaces might not come clean and that was true of the tub and sink. There was very little effort put into cleaning the shower door track, so it was still filthy. The floor behind the toilet did not appear to have been touched, nor did the edges of the floor. The toilet was still very discolored and there was urine on the wall next to the toilet. The grout on the tile floor also did not appear to have been touched. The room smelled marginally better.
I hired
Baltimore Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
because of their advertising, but apparently the condo's occupant was too much for them. They returned once and explained that they use very strong chemicals...apparently undiluted, but not up to the job. I went to the local Home Depot and picked up a grout cleaner that worked much better than anything
Baltimore Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
used. So much for strong chemicals. Guess I should have set the place on fire and let them do the one thing that they may do right.

's work and work ethic are fantastic. I was really impressed with the ongoing communication--during the scheduling and also while the work was in progress. I gave a B in price only because the estimate seemed high for the amount and extent of the work to be done. However, I didn't do any further research to get other bids for the work; after meeting
Baltimore Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
I knew that he would stand behind his work and that is paramount! Even though he probably does mainly larger jobs he was genuinely concerned that my smaller job was done to my satisfaction. I am in the process of creating a list of minor household repairs and I will definitely be contacting

again!

and his team are amazing! They worked like crazy to assure that everything was done in a timely manner, as well as pointing out other items that would need to be addressed in the future. I will also be using him and his team shortly for drywalling a new room, and sealing the brick at the back of the house. After they did such a professional job on the joists in the basement, I called
Baltimore Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
for all other jobs that I needed. He and his team provided the same excellent service for the painting, plumbing and roofing jobs. So glad I found them! I know that I can count on
Baltimore Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his team for any future jobs that pop up. I have already recommended

Baltimore Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked

I contracted for two bathrooms to be updated. They showed up on Monday, did some work. Told me they would be back at 9am Tuesday, and I never heard from them again. I called 5 times thus far and have not heard back. I have a leaking faucet that they installed, newly installed tiles are already coming unglued and they removed my toilet upstairs and now I don't have a working bathroom on the upper level. This has been a complete train wreck. DO NOT USE!!! Completely unreliable, incompetent and untrustworthy.

I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and take any additional actions that I can.
