The company rep said I did not need a tune up and should get a refund. He also said I should get the garage doors replaced. I appreciate his honesty. He took measurements for replacement garage doors but unfortunately I have not heard from the company.

In our old row house, almost nothing is standard. So when the deadbolt lock in our front door became a little stiff, we just learned to jiggle the key a little when we locked and unlocked it. But when the deadbolt lock in the back door stopped working altogether, we called
& Key. Guy
made an appointment for the next day, arrived promptly, and fixed the back door lock quickly and successfully. Then he asked if he could work on the front door and easily made some adjustments so that it would turn smoothly. We are pleased to have both locks working properly.

It went fantastically. I have a detached garage at the back of my property. The door stopped opening easily over a year ago, but I don't use it for my car, so I made do. Then, my lock stuck and I could no longer even open the door. Nothing I tried worked. It was time to mow the lawn and I couldn't get the mower out! So, I called him on Friday the 16th and he was very patient, curious about my problem and available. He came on time and got right to work on the service date. He removed the old lock and installed a new lock, with a new key. He also fixed another mechanism inside the door that needed to be fixed so the door would open properly and had broken. He also notified me about some other issues inside my garage that would need my attention (not lock related). He explained that the cost would be $40 more for the additional door repair, but his work still beat the other quotes I'd gotten on the lock alone. The door works like new. I'm very pleased and will use him again.

(the technician was very kind and helpful, he showed me exactly what is needed and gave me a quote and got started. Even thogh he did it fast it wasn't that clean, i'm guessing he was in a hurry and i was needed to swipe the area from little lock pices, but nothing too serious.
all n' all it was good. i paid to re-key 8 locks and to repair some of them for $228 including the installation fee and the service call and the service was great,

My home is 89 years old and has the original custom front door. I selected
Baltimore Locksmiths Provider Name Locked
& Key hoping they would have experience working with older homes since that's what
Baltimore Locksmiths Provider Name Locked
is mainly made up of. Guy said my mortise lock needed to be replace and would cost $600 just for the new lock. He recommended removing the ORIGINAL door latch and drilling a new hole higher on the door and putting in a new lock set.
We looked mortise locks up on line. They are about $100 to purchase, not $600 (and we didn't get the impression that $600 included the installation). And the thought of placing a new lock set higher is a sloppy solution and does not speak well for the installers skill-set, in my opinion.
We got the pleasure of paying $120 for this man to fiddle with a screwdriver for 1/2 an hour. Never again.

I made an appointment, and I was called 15 minutes ahead of time to say they were having truck trouble. We made another appointment and they arrived within the allotted time. He told me I needed a new motor on the garage door opener, but I thought the cost was prohibitive.($650) He indicated that $250 of the cost was for labor, but admitted it might only take 45 minutes to an hour to install. My husband tried to understand why the labor cost would be so high, but he became argumentative and insulting. We did not use his service.

I called
Baltimore Locksmiths Provider Name Locked
Locksmiths this morning to schedule the replacement of dead bolts and door knobs on my front and back door. When I called
Baltimore Locksmiths Provider Name Locked
answered and I told him what I wanted done. He explained he was currently on a job but could come to do my job once he was done. He asked for my address and telephone number and said he would call when he was on his way.
Baltimore Locksmiths Provider Name Locked
called and was at my home within 45 minutes of my contacting him. I told him that I wanted to replace the locks on both doors and he explained he could rekey them and it would be just the same as changing the locks. He then explained the rekeying process to me. He also told me that he could have the new keys work on all 4 locks. I asked how much the rekeying would cost and he stated $25 per lock versus $30 per lock to change them out. There was also a $90 service call fee. I told him to go ahead with the work.
I would also like to add that the door knob on the backdoor had not locked for years because the lock and the door frame never matched up.
Baltimore Locksmiths Provider Name Locked
went right to work and kept me informed of everything he was doing. I did not time him but he was not at my home longer than 1 hour.
Baltimore Locksmiths Provider Name Locked
was a professional the whole time he was working in my home and he did a professional job. Everything worked and I was so excited to finally be able to lock the knob on the backdoor.
I would recommend
Baltimore Locksmiths Provider Name Locked
Locksmiths to anyone needing a locksmith. What professionals and quick service providers!

I called Guy at 9:30 this morning, requesting new locks for three doors. He suggested the least costly option (replacing the two cylinders in the two locks in each door). He was at my home an hour later and efficiently replaced all six cylinders. He did an excellent job.

It went great. Called him at 9:00 AM, and he arrived at 11:30 the same day. He was very professional and courteous, and (importantly to me as a woman customer) dealt with my female roommate, who had made the call, instead of the male housemate who was also home at the time. He repaired the lock instead of replacing it, and it has worked like butter ever since. He was also upfront about his fees when asked, and it ended up being exactly what he originally quoted.

Guy arrived as scheduled and fixed my issue very quickly. He replaced the lock on a mailbox in less than 1/2 hour. Very happy with the outcome.
