"I called
Baltimore HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
because our furnace quit. I had also called other places, but
Baltimore HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
went out of their way to come the same day to look it over. The owner was very pleasant on the phone and was happy to answer questions or explain things in more detail. They arrived within the time frame and inspected the furnace, explaining that they could try a temporary fix on our 20+ year old furnace, but recommending that we replace it. There was no pressure to do so, just sound advice. We agreed to have the furnace replaced the next day at a cost of $1,700.00. We also agreed to a new programmable thermostat at (I think, but don't really remember) about $200.00. Once again, they arrived on time, took out the old furnace, installed and inspected the new one, installed and programmed the thermostat, and left our house tidy and warm. A day or two later, a neighbor who was feeding our cats thought she smelled gas. I called the owner immediately, and he was at our house within 40 minutes. The gas smell was by then gone. He checked the furnace carefully for any leaks, and said it was fine, but to call him at any time if we thought we smelled it again. we've had no problem since. He was at all times cordial, professional, and patient. I would definitely use them again if the need arose."

"Overall it was was a nightmare. I still get sick to my stomach when I think about it. On 7/19/09 I signed a contract for him to remove and install a new Heatpump with Blower and Thermostat. I was an existing customer that he did minor repair work for about 4 years. He does fine when it is small repair work. On 7/22/2009 he(W.D.

) installed the heatpump outside. His truck was not big enough to brink the blower at the same time. He told me that he would come back the next day with the blower. On 7/23/2009 he brought the blower and the Thermostat and installed them. Everything seemed ok so I paid him his last installment. He told me that filters were on order and they would be in in a couple weeks. He also told me that he would drop off the warrenty at the same time. On 7/24/2010 I called him and told him that the blower was never turning off. The thermostat was set to auto and OFF.  He made several(6 +) apointments with me and he would never show up. A couple weeks later I found out that he never installed a filter and I called him again. He told me that it was not a big deal and filters should be delivered in a coujple days. A couple days later one of his employees came by with a permenant filter. He could not get it in because the base of the blower was way too small for the unit. the blower was not supported correctly. Eventually he forced it in. I made many more apointments and he would not show up. I even took days off of work to meet with him. The excuses that he gave me when he did not show up: 1) He was in the hospital. 2) His wife was in the hopital. 3) He was sick and had diarrea. 4) The 4 tires on his truck were slashed. 5) His truck broke down. 6) Hurt his neck. Eventually the filters were dropped off at my door but I did not see the person. One time he he even came to my house with a neck brace. He told me that he had to drop off the warrenty by a specific date of it would be voided. He did not have time to fix the blower. That was the last time I ever saw anyone from the company. On 10/22/09, I hired another company to take a look at it. I got their name from the Ammana/

website. He re-wired the blower and removed alot of R410A refridgerant(It was overcharged). It took him about 2.5 hours total. It cost me $227.20. Since than my heatpump has been working fine.

"They have excellent ratings on Angie's List website. We don't have a maintenance contract with them. We pay per visit. They inspect everything for us and they provide us with new filters and we have specialized filters. We have

filters. We also have a whole home humidifier that has a water panel that goes inside of that. They check the whole system when they are here. They provide superior service whether it is routine maintenance or whether it is a service call when the A/C or the heater is not working. They are a family owned business. When I call and say who I am, they know exactly what furnace and A/C I have which is impressive. We did not install the system. It was installed with the previous owner. They know our address and they know our name. They are just really a great company. I would highly recommend them. They are really superior. "

"He is really good. His prices and are really good and his service, he was able to sit through that day and I really appreciated it. It was last minute emergency repair I needed that he was able to help me out with. I paid between $150 -$200 for the repair. I will definitely use their service in the future. He travels long distances. I think he said he lives in Baltimore but that he will travel around the surrounding couple of counties."

"I have used them in the past and I will not use them again. They replaced the boiler in the furnace several times failing to address the basic problem so I hired 2 guys who are specialists in hot air and steam systems. They diagnosed the problem and resolved it and any future business I do will be with them and not with

. They were fun, courteous and involved my husband in what was going on. I was generally very satisfied. I've had 3 or 4 furnaces replaced in the space of 10 years and that expense I tribute to

and I would want any of my friends against using people who are either inexperienced that they cannot tell what the real trouble is or just particularly happy to make a lot of money on people who don't know what's going on. I actually have two furnaces because we pulled the back of the house some years ago and so with electric heaters sitting in the principle rooms and heat from the other furnace we managed not to freeze the duct, but it was months. At first they refused to do anything about it other than just charge us for service for replacing yet another boiler. My husband pays the bills and I would say that it was fairly expensive that they did so much more than just replace the boiler. It turned out that instead of filling with fresh water a couple of times a season, it was filling a couple of times a week and that corroded the boiler so that it cracked and part of the reason was because we had leaking radiators which we either were not aware of in some cases or had turned off, but were still leaking so we had to have work done on all the radiators and re bounce the system. It was a big deal, but hopefully it will be 20 or 30 years before anyone has to replace the boiler again. They came when I called originally, but in terms of responsiveness to the problem ... They were punctual. Their behavior was perfectly nice. I would never ever use them again in the future.

"My 70-year-old oil boiler was really beginning to

efficiency at the end of last winter. I had been pricing boilers for a while, and several salesmen had been out to my house. I was interested in getting something high-efficiency (the tree-hugger in me), but I didn't have an inexhaustible budget.

,

' salesman, was a little early. He seemed to do a thorough appraisal of my oil boiler and my needs. We ended up sitting at my dining room table, and he wrote out the estimates. I used the Angies List coupon and was disappointed to learn that it covered only labor (you may think that's obvious, but hey -- it doesn't say so on the coupon). I was glad
Baltimore HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
gave me the estimate right there; at least one other company had left and never even sent the estimate. He also took seriously the fact that I wanted a high-efficiency boiler; some other salesmen had trouble understanding that I wasn't necessarily going to buy the cheapest thing they had to sell. It took me a little while to decide which way I was going to go, but when I decided to go with

and the office were able to schedule a crew to come out and do the work within a week. The asbestos abatement subcontractors (for removing the oil boiler) were the first to come out, and they worked very quickly and left no

. Apparently, they're the firm most of the HVAC contractors use. Unlike

' own crew ran a little late the first day. But the three guys were polite and seemingly normal, which I appreciated. That day, they were removing the oil boiler and happened to lean some parts up against the chain-link fence that divides my property from my neighbor's; it's his fence. My neighbor, who is a crazy, angry individual, came out and screamed and cursed at them, even bringing some weird racial comments into it. I was mortified, but the crew was totally polite and deferential toward the crazy neighbor. I felt terrible, but they were unfazed. Over the next few days, they kept working while one subcontracting crew came in to remove the oil tank and another came in to install a chimney liner. The

' crew seemed genuinely enthusiastic about installing my Weil-

Ultra 80 gas boiler. (I kinda got the impression they had never installed this model before, but they did seem up to the task.) It's way, way, way more high-tech than the 70-year-old oil boiler it replaced, and the head of the crew took the time to walk me through how it's supposed to work and answered my questions. They cleaned up when they left, and I now have a boiler that can't be heard throughout every inch of my house.
Baltimore HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
called me the next week or week after that because an inspector has to come out and look at the boiler. I haven't scheduled that yet, but Imma have to get on that.

"Sometimes great, sometimes not. Once we got a wrong diagnosis that claimed there was a problem with a
Baltimore HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
's installation. They wanted $300 to fix something they supposedly screwed up. And then, the diagnosis was totally wrong and our living room ceiling caved in because we addressed the wrong problem per their recommendation. Wouldn't refund the service call, the manager was super nasty about the whole thing, and we had to get the BBB involved. Have been totally competent and even excellent with other things, though. We prefer

now.

"The serviceman arrived within the specified window, inspected and attempted to start the furnace. The serviceman indicated that some type of ignition switch was not working and went to see if he had the part and the cost of the part. The cost of the part, although pricey, was averaged out through a year long service agreement so the overall cost is somewhat a wash."

"Excellent experience. No problem making appointment. Technician, DJ, arrived promptly was polite & professional at all times. He was very patient in educating me about the system. If any mess was made, it was cleaned thoroughly."

"The air conditioning system was not blowing air that was very cold. The technician who come out,
Baltimore HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
, thoroughly reviewed the system, inside and out. He was quick to point out lots of good tips that I could use myself for keeping my older system functioning at peak level. He discovered in his review that the screen on my codenser fan was dirty, causing high pressure in the coolant line. After spraying off with a hose the system improved performance dramatically and has worked well ever since. He did not try to sell any other services and recommended I just follow the mainatenance items he showed me. Extremely profesional and helpful."
