Dermatology Reviews in Baltimore

The office staff were incredibly friendly, and the location (
hospital) is really clean, efficient, and helpful. Dr.
was incredibly nice and paid attention to my boyfriend. She helped him navigate the best treatment option (and how that related to insurance). The office staff arranged for his outpatient surgery . It was a really great experience, and he'll definitely be returning to Dr.
again for his other dermatology needs.

After moving to Baltimore from VA, I was looking for a new dermatologist. I have had ongoing scalp and acne issues for the last 10+ years and I appreciate that unfortunately, there is no "cure" - Rather, there is just what works for right now.
I did some research and decided to make an appointment with Dr.
- I liked the hospital affiliation should I have a larger issue down the road and she had pretty good reviews. It took a few weeks to get an appointment, but that is not unusual when seeking a dermatologist.
I brought my intake paperwork with me and gave it to reception upon arriving for my appointment. I paid my copy and waited to see the Dr. I waited a few minutes, but it was not unreasonable.
My scalp and hair had been getting very dry from my then current regimen. She listened to my concerns and switched my shampoo to a new formula that was less drying.
Also, after finally getting under control, my acne was flaring up badly from a change in another medication I had made about 6 months prior. She agreed and could feel the cystic nodules in my chin area. She prescribed a heavy
of antibiotics to get the infection under control and changed my nightly cream. I tried to make the connection between my prior change in medicine and the new acne, but she seemed to dismiss my concern.
Finally, she performed an overall exam, looking at moles, patches, etc.
I felt Dr.
's overall exam was reasonably thorough, but I didn't feel entirely comfortable expressing my thoughts or concerns. She was a bit abrupt and seemed to be in a rush - I know dermatologists are in demand and have tons of patients, but it's still nice when you find one that really listens.
Her treatment suggestions were only moderately effective. The antibiotic was really harsh on my stomach, causing extreme nausea and occasional vomiting, but I stuck through the course because I wanted it to work! There was some temporary improvement, but not enough to be commensurate with the level of discomfort they caused.
The shampoo worked for a little while, but only about 6 months. I recently visited a new dermatologist for a reassessment on my scalp and am hopeful for a better result this time.
Overall I would say that Dr.
is a good doctor, but there are better, more compassionate doctors out there.
What really upset me was that a few weeks after my appointment, I received a bill for another copay. Since the office is located within the hospital grounds, the hospital will also charge you a copay! Paying 2 copays + for parking in the downtown garage makes visiting this practice an expensive outing!

It was a horrible appointment and not worth the time spent. He gave no answers to any questions and literally laughed as if the patient is stupid. He offered no advice or help whatsoever and left his patient feeling like she was just a "pain in the butt" to him and not worth his time or energy. Again...beware of this guy!

She is excellent. I've been seeing her for a long time. I have recommended her. It takes a long time to get an appointment but if I have an emergency, she takes me right away. She has a very big practice.

We waited for two hours until we saw the doctor and he looked at our chart the whole time. Within 30 seconds of being in the room he burned off a cherry angioma without asking and then said he'd have to go check if insurance covered it. I asked him to look at a painful skin tag and he told me to "come back in when I

the weight and he'll take a look then".I thought he would look things over carefully and let me know if anything looked troublesome. The appointment lasted 3 minutes. After this appointment I still feel like I need to go to another dermatologist (I'll use Angies List this time) to have another look.

People raved about him so I was excited to meet him but ended up feeling like he'd rather I hadn't come in for such a silly thing. The office staff was awesome though! The were very nice, organized and helpful. Even though we sat in the waiting room for 2 hours (with a 2 year old and 2 month old) we enjoyed talking to the other patients waiting.

They do good work. They are courteous and professional. They explain what’s going to happen. I like my doctor. She is great. I like her very much. I would use them in the future.

I have had an on going problem with the skin under my stomack and with Roseacia. My husband also had Roseacia and she wanted he and I to use an oral medication once a day. I asked her if there were any side-effects and all she said was that you shouldn't have any problems. When I returned home and read the warnings is said not to use if you had or was treated recently for a yeast infection. She treated me only 2 weeks before for a yeast infection. I take other medications and my primary doctor said that one of the prescription creams she had me using would cause heart problems when used with one of the other medication it have been using. I really question whether she takes the time to check the effects one medication you are using with the one she wants you to take. I'm going to try another doctor for my husband and I.

I chose him since he is close to my work and he ended up being an excellent choice. He had a specific apparatus that was required for a condition I was being treated for.
