"She did an excellent job of explaining the disease to me as well as the treatment options. She was very patient and explained everything to both my husband and I" in terms we could understand. She quickly got the surgery scheduled and performed it within a couple weeks of the diagnosis. Surgery and follow up have been great. I would highly recommend her. I prefer to see her at the Bethesda office.

-Lisa S.

"She was excellent, professional, and just does wonderful work. She did a surgery on my breast and she also taken out my thyroid and I had an emergency situation" with a torn colon and she did the emergency surgery on that but she's an excellent surgeon, cares a lot about women. I have no scars whatsoever on my breast which amazes all the other doctors that the woman is a good surgeon. I think her hands were just blessed. I would use her practice again in the future.

Breast surgery

Women and some men can seek three types of cosmetic breast surgery: breast augmentation, breast lift and breast reduction. Most surgeries are considered elective procedures and can be performed at a surgery clinic or in a hospital.

Angie's Answers

Hi there! This is Weston from Member Services. Apologies for my delayed response.

Angie's List has ratings and reviews on many services, including the exact service you are requesting here. However, I do not see that you have an active membership with our service, therefore you would first need to join our service in order to access these ratings and reviews for doctors who prescribe hormone replacement therapy in Ocean County, NJ.

If you have an interest in our service then please give us a call at 1-888-944-5478 to speak with a Specialist about your needs or go to our website and you can join Angie's List from there at a 20% savings on an annual membership by using the discount code ANSWERS.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions and good luck with your needs!

Here is a web search link for her that is NOT Iowa Clinic -

can't say if this is current or very old - if you google this phrase -

Shawna Freeman ARNP West Des Moines

you get several different addresses and numbers which you might try.

Hello, this is Kyle K from the Member Care Department.

I apologize for my delay. We encourage healthcare providers to list the insurances they accept when creating their Angie’s List profile. At this time however, many providers have not completed this section, or the information wasn't available when Angie's List created their listing.
I encourage you to visit your insurance provider's website, as many offer search tools to find local healthcare providers. You can then cross-reference these with Angie's List. We’re happy to help look up these individual providers for you, too.
I am sorry I could not answer your question directly, but I hope this information was helpful.

Please let me know if there's any other assistance or info I can provide. You can respond in line to this Q&A thread by submitting a new answer. You can also reach us at memberservices@angieslist.com or toll-free at 1-866-783-2980 to speak with a live representative. Our call center hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am-8:15 pm Eastern Time or Saturday from 8:30 am-3:00 pm ET.
Thanks for writing! - Kyle K

This is Kyle K from Member Care. I'm happy to help!

I apologize, but nutritionists fall under our Weight Management category which is included in the Health list. Currently, you're enrolled in our Basic membership which only includes access to our Home list.
If you'd like to upgrade your membership to the Plus or Premium plan, we'll be happy to assist you with this search. If interested, give us a call at 1.888.944.5478 and we'll take care of this adjustment. Again, I do apologize for any misunderstanding.
Hi Lacretia,
This is Robin K. in Member Care. I'm happy to help!
I was able to find several rated internal medicine doctors to help with your project. For your current need though, our Snapfix specialists would also be able to do all of the dialing for you, match you up with a top rated company and arrange to have them call you to figure out the logistics. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please fill out the form in the link below and our Snapfix Team will take it from there!
If you would like to reach out to these providers yourself, please let me know. I’d be happy to send these to you. No matter which option you choose, I hope you’ll take the time to fill out a review when the work is done.
As an Angie's List member, you can find these same results and additional providers by logging into your membership and searching for "Primary care - internal medicine" in the "Search the List" tab.
If you have any other questions, please let us know. You can respond to this thread or submit a new Answers post. You can also reach us at memberservices@angieslist.com. We're happy to help, Lacretia!

Breast Surgery reviews in Baltimore

Unlike the other reviewers, I did not have a positive experience here. I scheduled one appointment for two diagnostic procedures. At the conclusion of the scheduling call, the representative told me to allow 2-3 hours for the procedures. When I expressed surprise, she advised me that the tests (a mammogram and an ultrasound) were time-consuming. This deviated from my experiences at other facilities, but I went ahead with the appointment, having received a recommendation for this facility. In fact, I was at the facility for almost 2.5 hours. Over the course of the afternoon of my appointment, I spent a total of 15 minutes (1) walking between the waiting room and the procedure rooms and (2) preparing for and undergoing the 2 procedures and getting results. That 15 minutes also includes time spent waiting as the technician who fetched me fended off the swarms of women who surrounded her both times asking why they’d been waiting more than an hour to be seen. Beyond the 15 minutes of activity, I spent an additional total of 2 hours and 6 minutes killing time in the (very crowded) waiting room, where the wifi was malfunctioning. At some point a client advocate made her way though the throngs of half-dressed women. When I asked (having sat for about 60 minutes by then) if the wait was normal and did she have an idea of how far behind they were running, she said “we told you the appointment would take 2-3 hours,” then put a hand on my shoulder as if to comfort me and said “I’ll be back.” She didn’t take my name, so she wasn’t planning to look into my appointment, and while I’m sure she meant well, I was left feeling patronized, as if my frustration about feeling forgotten stemmed from some special female anxiety (hysteria, I believe it was called in the 1950’s) and not from a realization that there was no reason for the wait beyond the convenience of the facility. When I finally returned home my husband asked whether it was worth the wait to have results of both procedures. I believe he unwittingly tapped into the facility’s approach: take advantage of women who are anxious for an answer and may not be familiar with the client service provided at alternative facilities, stuff them into a room and get to them when it’s convenient. Expecting so many clients, apparently routinely, to cool their heels literally for hours is appalling, and it gives me little confidence in what it would be like to undergo a course of treatment here. I will not be back.

is very personable, considerate, takes her time and does good work. She is an A++ provider to work with. Communication is great with her. She checks the mammogram and lets me know right away what she sees; there is no waiting.

Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
is a quack. He left my breasts disfigured. I am having to have an additional surgeries to attempt to correct Dr.
Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
's sloppy surgical techniques. He is arrogant and only cares about the fees involved. He basically did everything wrong with my surgery. He also botched a friend of mine who had surgery two weeks earlier. Please be warned and don't let this guy touch you. He VIOLATES All PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS OF CARE.

Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
saw my wife in her office and did an ultrasound on the breast with the spot in it and then sent her to have a needle biopsy. Dr.
Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
told my wife that she wanted her to come back for another office appointment because she wanted to inspect some other areas of my wife's breasts further and to give her the biopsy results.
As one would expect, the people who did the needle biopsy called my wife as soon as the results were in (negative for cancer). When my wife went back to Dr.
Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
's office, she merely told her that there was no cancer, which my wife informed her she already knew because the surgery people had already called her. Dr.
Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
then said okay, see you in six months. No mention of wanting to further inspect suspicious spots was made. However, Dr.
Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
did bill us for an office visit.
Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
told my wife a lie in order to scare her into coming back for another office visit. Surely a doctor would know that a surgery center would call the patient with such results and that the doctor would not be needed to do so. Even if the doctor were needed to do so, the doctor could call the patient on the telephone and give the results without forcing the patient to come back into the office.
Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
will apparently tell you anything she thinks will get you to come back into her office so that she can charge you another office visit fee---even if the thing causes great worry and existential angst. Dr.

's ethics are questionable at best.

It was my first time seeing her. She came recommended by a friend. She is a great doctor and very honest. She has also had the surgery done and can tell you anything you want to know about it. She is very easy going and easy to talk with. She is highly regarded in the area. The staff is great and the facility is beautiful.
- Melissa D.

He comes very highly recommended. I have a friend who had to have a thyroid operation, and she had been putting it off. Her doctor recommended that she get it done by Dr.
Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
, and he said that he was the only one who could do it for her. He is a neurosurgeon, but for small surgeries, he knows all about the body. He will operate on different parts of the body, not just lumpectomies, and he is going to operate on my friend’s thyroid. He is very easy to talk to, but he is very busy. He has a nurse assistant who has been with him for years, and she is just about as good as he is. She took out the biopsy stitches, and she also took out a drainage tube that I had. They are just a good team, and I love them. He is a surgeon, and he does get called out, but he was there when I had my appointment to begin with, and when I went back to have the drainage tube taken out, it could be called an emergency, so I can’t criticize him for his availability. I got in rather quickly for my appointment which really surprised me, I only had two appointments, and both were on time, so his punctuality was excellent. His nurse has been with him for thirty years, and she will stick with him until he retires in six or seven years. I was very impressed with his bedside manner, and his communication, it’s all about listening.
- Sonia P.

She was rude to my husband and I when I was getting ready for surgery. She was a smart aleck. She did not have bedside manner and was horrid. She wanted to do a mastectomy right off the bat and I was at 0 stage for breast cancer, and when I went to Dr.
Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
, my breast surgeon, she said I can go in and get that and do radiation and I’ll be fine, so I felt it pays to get a second opinion. My husband couldn’t stand her at all, and I wouldn’t even let her touch me after that.
- Bruce W.

The appointment was originally scheduled for 2 pm. The office called and rescheduled for 11 am, stating Dr.
Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
would not be in that afternoon. I arrived about 15 minutes early and checked in. I asked if the physician was running on time, and the
Baltimore Breast Surgeons Provider Name Locked
laughed. I waited in the waiting room for an hour, then went back to the reception desk. The receptionist tried to call to see about the delay but was unable to reach anyone. As I was walking down the stairs to leave, my name was called and I was taken to an exam room. A harried nurse stated that the physician would be in as soon as possible, but was unable to say when that might be. I waited an additional 40 minutes and then left without seeing the physician.
