"OUTSTANDING. Two days before Christmas our washing machine stopped working at the spin cycle. We were having several house guests in for Christmas and needed the washer fixed asap. I called the company (a national chain) who we bought the machine from and they said they could have someone out in about two and a half weeks. So I looked on Angie's list and found 
. They had someone out to repair the problem within a few hours. The technician also explained to me how I could do a repair myself of a minor problem with our clothes dryer. This company is great - I definitely recommend them and will use them again."

"I ended up not doing the repair. The cost to fix it was $390. I decided not to have the work done because I did not feel it was worth it. Everyone I dealt with was excellent. They were very organized. They called me ahead of time. The gentleman that came over was very professional. It was a good experience. I would recommend them. They are trustworthy. They have been around for a long time and they know what they are doing. "

"It went very well. They were able to come out the next day after I called them. The guy who came out was personable, he did the work in a timely manner, and the price was fair. "

"My 3 year-old dishwasher one day just wouldn't even start. Since it was a , I called to make the repair. The tech missed the scheduled 4 hour appointment window with no phone call or anything. don't get me started with how it all went down from there. I gave up on , went to Angie's List and found Discount Appliance Repair . They returned my phone call right away and scheduled a time most convenient for me within the next couple of days (as opposed to weeks with !). The tech, Bechir came on time, diagnosed the problem quickly (a bad control board), made the fix and gave me a month warranty on the repair. 4 months later - no problems with the dishwasher. Bechir was very courteous, professional and in and out of my condo in no time flat. The total cost for the visit and repair was very reasonable (and as I recall, cheaper than the estimate to come out before any repair costs). I will most definitely call Discount Appliance Repair for any future problems with any of my kitchen appliances! (And thanks Angie's List for helping me find my new "go-to" repair company!)"

"The representative set the appointment on Sep 25. I asked if he/she could not send someone sooner then that, and was told no.
We told the service person would arrive between 8-12:00. We planned to remain home and wait. No one arrived, and around 1pm called and said the service person would arrive around 4:00pm. We canceled afternoon plans and waited. As it became dark we put on all the outside lights, and stayed off the phone in the event of a call. By 9pm we assumed no one was coming.
There was no word from until the following Tuesday, Sep 28. They called and said I would have to re-schedule for a date in Mid October. I noted that we had been waiting since Sep 11th - and expressed my frustration. I was transferred to another department to cancel the repair and then transferred to another department to cancel the warrantry. I went back to Angies List and chose an A rated Appliance Repair, and was told they would come out the next day.
I can understand someone falling behind in their work, but feel it is not acceptable to place the customer back to the beginning of the waiting list, and not be on the list for the next day, when they fail to show up. I also think the courtesy of a phone call noting that no one was coming should be standard operating procedure. They are in my personal dog house and I will not call them in the future."

"He came on schedule and replaced the oven igniter, a burner igniter and fixed a handle, as well as sweeping under the oven drawer and getting the drawer to slide properly. He did the repairs quickly and had the necessary parts on his truck. I don't know if the price was good or not, but I am very happy with the repairs and expect to keep this gas range a long time."

"Everything was handled in the most professional manner, starting with the initial telephone call to the receptionist and ending with the actual work undertaken by JoJo. Just before JoJo showed up each time, I received telephone calls from the receptionist(s) indicating that he was on his way (and then he showed up shortly thereafter). Both during the service call and the follow-up visit, JoJo was professional and competent and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained things and answered my questions. It all went very well. The price seemed a little high, but I couldn't have asked for better service all the way around. "

" answered the phone when I called. He is the owner and is very personable. I had to change the original date for his visit, and he rescheduled for two days later. He willing to come to the house on a Saturday. He was a very nice guy, very professional, and I would call him again in a second for any of our appliances. He charges an $80 diagnostic fee, but if he can't figure out what his wrong, he won't charge anything. "

He gave me a rough estimate over the phone when I described my problem and it seemed reasonable to me. We would have used him if we hadn't decided to purchase a new dryer."
