Appliance Repair Reviews in Baltimore

After having a terrible time with another repair company, I was thrilled when I spoke to
. She was very helpful and was able to schedule me within a couple of hours of my call AND for the same day! I was advised i would get a call about 30 minutes beforehand, which was perfect since I needed to come home from work. She let me know that based on the schedule, someone would be out most likely earlier rather than later within the 2 hour timeframe. The call was exactly 30 minutes from arrival.
was the technician and extremely polite, courteous and professional. He assured me the problem was a water pressure issue from the main line and not the refrigerator. My next step will be to contact a plumber.
I cannot say enough how pleased I was with the customer service and hopefully he's 100% right on the diagnosis.

I spoke with a very nice lady named
who I assumed was an office person for the company. After explaining the situation, she took all my information and said she would send it on to a "scheduler". I waited 2 days and no return phone call. I called again and spoke to Ed (I believe he is the owner). He said he wasn't even sure they were making anymore appointments b/c the were so busy but he found my information and promised he would call me back the same day (but he was
the shop by himself). No call back. The following day I called again and Ed apologized for not returning my call and said send an email through the website mentioning a possible appointment for 8/7/14. He said someone would call that morning and let me when to expect them, probably between 9-12. I sent the email, received no confirmation. On 8/6, I called again to confirm that there was an actual appointment and spoke to another woman named
. It was clear she was just an answering service. She said she would give someone a message.
On 8/7, I called again since no one responded and they open at 7 a.m. I left a message on the voicemail asking someone to PLEASE call me to confirm since I was not planning on taking the day off from work unless I knew I had a confirmed appointment. Crickets! I waited till 9:00 a.m. and when I still had not received a call, I joined Angies List, got the number to
Appliance Repair and hopefully will have someone out to look at my refrigerator today or tomorrow. Once again, someone is going to call me back. I did call back
and cancel the appointment that may have never been scheduled to begin with. I spoke briefly to a gentleman who did not give me his name (nor did I ask) who didn't seem terribly surprised.
Talk about horrendous customer service!

Despite sticker shock we agreed to the replacement of the compressor unit. Within a week, the unit was making loud noises.

Within a week the freon had leaked again. More than 50 calls we attempted, numerous busy signals, voice mail not working but finally spoke to owner who repeatedly promised to get back out. After more than a month, a tech finally came out, confirmed the second leak and recharged. This charge also failed.

was terrific! One trip to quickly diagnose the issue another to replace the part. He even squeezed us in before a long weekend trip and desperate to do a load of laundry. He was able to charge a card and email a receipt directly from his iPad which is extremely convenient in the age of no cash. My wife and I will definitely be calling him for any appliance repair in the future.

He was great. Very friendly and professional.Adjusted doors on fridge and cleaned coils
, cleaned dishwasher. Checked washer and dryer and did one belt job which was a bit extra. All appliances are old so I felt good about doing this.

We are having

repair an appliance for us under warranty with Jenn-Air. We have had very poor communication from this company. They had our appliance for over a week with no communication. When I finally called, I found out they were waiting for a part on back order. I called Jenn-Air (one phone call) and the part was shipped to them that same day. A little effort on their part would have gone a long way to getting this warranty repair completed in a timely fashion. The part arrived today as scheduled. Apparently, the part will take over 24 hours to install and test. They also apparently do not work on the weekends, as delivery and reinstallation of our appliance has been pushed back from Friday to Monday.

I recently bought a house with a front load washer and front load dryer. After about a month the washer stopped draining water so I called

is a one man show but he was punctual, very nice and very clean. The first visit was about $100 at which time he told me that the motor likely needed to be changes and it would total about %$400 if he had to change the motor. He said this is a common problem with front load washers. He also said there was a possibility that he could remove whatever object was locking up the motor but that wasn't likely. He said he would call back once he ordered the motor and got it in which he did promptly. He credited the $100 from the first visit toward the cost of replacement and also gave a discount for using Angie's List. Very nice and I would definitely recommend to a friend.

I called

to service a washing machine which miraculously survived a flooded basement. I was luck to catch the engineer in my area that day. He was very courteous on the phone and reassured me that the call out fee of $80 would go to any repairs if needed. He was at my house within an hour.
He showed great competence and had the washing machine front removed within a few minutes. He answered all my questions and provided some very valuable information to help me keep my washing machine running longer. He also worked on a dryer as he waited for the washing machine to run through a quick cycle. Again shown great expertise in disassembling the dryer and diagnosing the issue.
With an Angie's List coupon I was only charged $65. I was very impressed by his professionalism and competence and would definitely recommend

THE 10% DISCOUNT DOES NOT APPLY TO THE $95.00 SERVICE FEE FOR COMING TO THE HOUSE. this fee goes toward the bill IF you get the repair. If you do not get the repair, you pay $95.00 without the discount.
There are two temperature dials inside my refrigerator - one marked 'refrigerator' and the other marked' freezer'. The first thing I noticed was soft ice cream in the freezer. So I turned the freezer dial to '0' waited 10 second and turned it up again. Compressor did not come on. I called on Friday morning, told him my freezer was not working and he gave me an appointment on Monday morning.
Monday he arrived on time - turned the REFRIGERATOR dial to '0', waited 10 seconds and turned the dial to up to normal temperature. The compressor came on. He explained that the REFRIGERATOR dial is the thermostat and the freezer dial controls a vent to the freezer. I asked him, WHY didn't he mention this to me on Friday? He said, he could not tell what the problem was until he saw the refrigerator. YET, it was the first thing he did, after he arrived.
The previous 3 day storm had knocked out one of the circuit breakers and had effected the refrigerator - even though the refrigerator was not on that circuit. I asked

- could this have been the problem? He said possibly, but because the refrigerator was working now, there was no way to tell. I was tired of not having a refrigerator and decided to go with the repair. No one will ever know if the repair was actually needed, = since the suggestion of turning the REFRIGERATOR dial to '0', wait 10 seconds, and turn the refrigerator on to see of the compressor comes on, was NOT made on Friday. Had the refrigerator ran properly on Friday, I would have made an appointment for Tuesday and cancelled it on Monday if the refrigerator was still working. This is my idea of helpful service. the problem is that he would not make money doing this. I am positive this is the reason for the withholding of information until I was on the hook for $95.00.
I checked off "yes" I would use him again, because there is no 'Maybe" box. IF there was a 'maybe' box, I would have checked it. My experience with appliance repair people in the past is like the one described above. He is more personable, but no different than any other appliance repair person I've met.
