This is the second time I have used
and I am again very pleased with their service.
called to let me know he was on his way and arrived on time. He did an outstanding job today installing a new tankless water heater. The job was more difficult than initially expected due to the age of the house and the tight working space in the closet the old water heater was in, but he took his time and made sure everything was done correctly. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to replace an old water heater.

I called
on Tuesday to explore the possibility of installing a new hot water heater. The old one was beginning to deliver sediment to the down stairs tub in the form of black, gravel like gunk. He came by that afternoon to explore options for either flushing the existing heater or replacing it. We agreed that the best option was simply to replace the old heater since it was so old. He said he could schedule the installation for Friday morning. By Thursday the gunk coming into the tub made it unusable.
The next think I knew he informed me that he had a change in his schedule and could install the new heater Thursday afternoon. He arrived at 3:00 PM and at 5:00 PM we had a new water heater, lines flushed and crystal clear water filling the tub.
This is the fourth time I have used
Crew and I will certainly call him again with any of my plumbing needs.

The guys were a little late for the appointment but called in advance to let me know. They also stayed late to finish the job. Very polite, professional and respectful. They covered carpeting where they would be moving equipment in and out. Cleaned up nicely after the job. Provided advice. Knew the regs regarding the job. Overall good experience. Would recommend to others.

From what i read i thought there was going to be a more in depth examination of my plumbing system other than inspecting the hot water heater but he just flushed toilets and turned on sinks. My hot water heater was brand new but the rest of the house is 40+ years old so i wanted to make sure it was all good. I didn't know how he would check the rest of the system but i figured from the wording of the offer that he'd do something but basically it was $44 down the drain. Probably half my fault for not asking about the offer more before getting it.

I called Excalibur to look at my leaking propane water heater, and then provide a bid on the solution. The unit and all connections is easily accessible from a ground floor garage. Pros: Excalibur was easy to schedule, came out the next day, arrived on time, and were polite. Cons: They quickly determined that the water heater needed replacing. The service tech went to his truck to prepare a bid. After 15 minutes, he returned with a proposal of $6450 (after a $150 discount). Shocking, to say the least. I found the same heater he quoted online for $1500. I told the tech this, and asked how it could possibly take $5000 of labor (around 1.5 man weeks) to replace the unit ... 10 times the national high average install cost (per online sources). He said it's a lot of work, but couldn't really explain why? The tech seemed nervous by the question, and promptly wanted to leave. However he also proposed an alternative "tankless" unit replacement for $4800. Tankless systems are normally several times the cost of tank heater replacements. So I can only surmise that they severely inflated the cost of the tank install to make their tankless system look attractive? Needless to say, I will not be using or recommending Excalibur.

had the highest rating and now I believe them. I got 4 quotes and Excalibur was the most affordable and they did it right. Two extra guys even came over to get the old water heater out of my 3 story attic with the pull down stairs. Best bid by a few hundred dollars. Really impressed with

My water heater went out at the beginning of a very cold weekend. This meant I would have neither heat OR hot water until the hot water heater tank was repaired.
I live in a condominium and learned that most plumbing contractors in this region cannot work on condominium buildings with more than 4 units per building. I live in a condo building with 6. It took more than 18 calls to find
Austin Water Heater Installers Provider Name Locked
, and I am glad they were the ones to respond to the call.
They set expectations about how long the installation would take and they met them (about 90 minutes). They were efficient when they worked and understood that I had been without heat or hot water for more than 2 day of the coldest days in memory. They communicated when they needed to but overall every thing was pretty straight forward.
I am very pleased with their work.

the job within a reasonable period of time. They were able to replace the old hot water heater with a new heater and make some minor plumbing changes within several hours. The total job was completed very satisfactorily and I would not hesitate to recommend

out in the evening to inspect. Verified the tank was bad..and quoted me a price $200 less than the original install.with new tank! .I complained and the took $100 off from a phone book coupon. Said new codes and all parts external to tank had to be replaced. This is a warranty Item. I'm sorry it should not cost me anything to replace. The cost should go back to manufacture..

White. In addition to the $740 dollars and next day install..i was without hot water for 48hrs..and had to clean up a big mess from the water leak. Not Happy at all about that. The plumber that came to install the new was professional and had no issue with the workmanship of the install and new code restrictions.. Again this was a warranty fail though. it shouldn't have cost me to get it fixed out of pocket..

will not get my business in the future..Unless the water heater fails again. Hopefully not.

The work went well. They came one day to estimate the work, came next day to do the job, adjusting their schedule to mine which caused them to stay later than normal to finish the job. The job was made easier in that the tank is located in the stairwell from the garage to the first floor of my house, not in an interior closet or in an attic. This also made it easier to get the drain from the "leak

" to the outside of the house. They did not take the drain through my siding but down under the house (pier and beam) and out through an existing vent (they made this look good by putting a colllar around the PVC pipe on the outside of the vent).
This was at my request (insistance).
They did all that is necessary to pass City of

inspection (yet to be done).
The final price was the estimated price and was comparable to the one other price I had gotten. It was more difficult than I thought to get someone over to do this job.
