"First off, answered his phone and came out for an estimate on a Sunday. Who does that? I wasn't in a real hurry to get the work done so we scheduled the appointment for Thursday, though indicated he could come earlier if necessary (it wasn't). His men had left a limb hanging directly over where I normally park my car (the car wasn't there, and they had no way of knowing that), and when I asked them if they could trim that too, they didn't consider it an imposition at all. The lawn was very clean when they were done and everything looks fabulous. I am very impressed with their work."

"This was one of my worst nightmares! I would give them an F except the actual work was decent by the time it got done. I used a Big Deal coupon, as funds are tight. I had the estimator come out, and showed him all the possible work I wanted done. I had intended to then choose only what fell within the limits of my coupon. ...more He quoted me $135 more than the $250 coupon would allow, and when I asked him to NOT do a couple of things, so I wouldn't pay extra, he said "It doesn't work that way". He refused to take anything off the estimate, because he said he was giving me such a good deal that taking anything off would still leave the price the same! He was condescending and rude, and finally bullied me into signing the estimate. After thinking about it, I decided that was not what I wanted to do, and contacted the office.

that called back, and we got into it again. He said some very rude things to me! I was furious. I called the office again and asked for the manager. In the meantime, they took me off the schedule. I finally talked to the manager, and we got everything straight and re-scheduled for another day, even though I didn't like that day because I was going to be gone part of the day. He also admitted that they had fired

. They came, of course while I was gone, and did most of the work, but missed the oleanders completely. I also didn't like what they did to my oak, as they took almost half of it off! So I had to call again, and have them come out again. This time,

came, and he was very nice. He explained they did do to the oak what it needed, and he trimmed up the oleander. It didn't look very good but it is filling in now some. They did cut the tree and hedges down to the ground nicely. As I said, the actual work was decent enough, but the days of fuming and calling and then ending up paying more than I wanted just soured me on them forever."

"The owner goes over what you want in detail before they do the job. He is on premises almost all the time, so the directions don't get lost. He's also available to talk to if he notices something you need to take care of. Many tree services in this area do not have any workers who speak English and, for me at least, once the work crew arrives there ...more is no communication at all. The did excellent work."
