Ophthalmology Reviews in Austin

Too much and many experiences to tell in one report. Dr.
and his team were great. Not all service at one location since surgery at a separate surgical center. No surprises or tricks or craziness. Everything went like clockwork, and I was very impressed wtih the efficiency and professionalism of Dr.
's team. Before and after the surgery, I was referred for consultation to Dr.
Loose, a retinologist. Dr
appears to be a very busy man, and his appointments were definitely not "timely". He is a reasonably pleasant person, but could stand to be more personal and spend a little more time getting to know his patients. Perhaps they need to hire an additional retinologist???? so he will have a little more time. My regular optometrist is Dr.
and I truly love her. She is kind, thoughtful, warm, thorough, resourceful, inventive, and I plan to have my husband make an appointment with her too. I highly recommend Dr.
! The only bad experience I ever had at
was with a Chinese ophthalmologist who was late seeing me, very terse and rude and totally not informative. I felt that she was simply annoyed that I existed, and had the audacity to interrupt her day with my "small" problem. I plan never to see her again, and warn others away from her. NOT good bedside manner. Finally, I want to commend
and the young lady (whose name I forgot) who run the optometry suite. They are very good and helpful and provide sound advice and help with making decisions on frames, glasses, prices on contact lenses and (especially) sunglasses! Bravo to them for making the customer feel she counts for something.

's office is very small and friendly. He knows his patients and remembers details about their care. They'll even answer questions over the phone if something comes up. I've had prescriptions for lenses from other providers that I couldn't wear because the tests were done in the wrong order for my eye condition. Dr.
takes time to work with the problem and I've never had to have one of his prescriptions for glasses redone. He gets it right even when there's not a big change.

I was able to get an appointment right away, within a couple of days. While the location is under construction, it was still easy to get in and out of the parking lot and building. There was plenty of friendly staff to help and guide at all times. The wait was very short. All technicians doing the preliminary testing were friendly and helpful. The doctor took time to listen to my concerns and questions and answered completely and patiently. I will definitely return.

I've been a long-time patient of Dr.
Austin Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
. For an annual exam, they are popular enough that you need to schedule an exam several months in advance, but if you have a more pressing medical problem they will work to fit you in. I had an emergency the other week and they told me to come in that afternoon. I fully expected to wait for a while but they got right in to see the doctor. Dr.

is always nice, happy to see you, and very friendly.

Whomever you use for eye surgery, please make sure that (a) they make their own measurements and (b) they give you their email before the surgery, as well as an emergency phone number. Test these out to make sure they are real. Eye surgery is not a small matter.

She was very good. It was my first visit with her. She was very thorough with a very good bedside manner. She was very knowledgeable. I had to wait a while as there was a little bit of a wait. It was worth it because the doctor was very good. I had to talk to different people about my insurance which took a while but it was worth it.

The facility is fine and very efficient. There wasn't a long wait and the availability was good. The office is really small. My husband and I had to switch places when they were doing our evaluations and it was really tight in there. I don't know much about the equipment since I am not an expert in that area but I found it to be a good place to go. I would go there again.

I was able to get an appointment with Dr.
Austin Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
within 24 hours of my initial phone call, which is always a pleasant surprise when seeing a medical specialist. I was a little bit nervous that they wouldn't take me seriously, since their website seems to imply that their primary focus is

surgery. However, the person who made my appointment reassured me that they offer the full range of ophthalmological services.

I did have to wait about 30 minutes to get into an exam room, but both the nurse and Dr.

acknowledged the wait and apologized for their busy afternoon. Dr.

did a thorough exam of my eyes and asked a bunch of questions about my current overall health. He made a bunch of notes in my file and was careful to go over the diagnosis to make sure that I understood what was going on. We spent about 15 minutes together, and it seemed that he wanted to make sure that I knew what to do before he ended the appointment. Very nice bedside manner. He also left me his business card and said that I could call or email if I had any additional questions, which I appreciated.

As I was checking out, the billing person wanted to charge me for refraction (which wasn't part of my exam) but I protested, and she checked with Dr.

. That makes me wonder if she had looked at the case notes carefully, or if it had even been noted in the file. But it was resolved easily without any trouble, just made me pause for a few seconds.

I've already recommended him to a good friend, and I would use them again.

He is very professional. Sort of get you in and get you out. Takes the time necessary but doesn't waste a lot of time. He is very efficient but at the same time you feel like you have been adequately treated by him. I know he is going from patient to patient but if you are ever in a situation where you have had your eyes violated or something that obviously gives him a little time. I will continue to use this doctor.

I went to see Dr.
Austin Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
fully expecting to have immediate surgery but after the initial examination she explained that my vision would not get any better with surgery than it as at that time. She prescribed eye drops and my vision has actually slightly improved. My condition is such that surgery will be needed but it was nice to know that it as not her first instinct to the surgery. I am impressed by her professionalism.
