"Office staff very personable, friendly, comforting. Environment of the office is plain and there are two connected waiting areas with chairs all facing each other so there isn't any privacy; everyone is close enough to hear conversations with the receptionist or with your family. I was seen on time by Dr. Warhoe's assistant who was pleasant and efficient in taking my vitals without comment and made me feel very comfortable. I was not asked to put on a gown or sit on an exam table to wait. Dr. Warhoe appeared in just a few minutes, so very little waiting. Everything was very comfortable and personal. She looked me in the eye, listened to my comments, answered all my questions, and never made me feel hurried. She appeared to be completely concentrating on my case. She had clearly evaluated all my records and films in advance and offered an option of treatment that no one had mentioned to me previously. When she wanted to examine me she gave me the standard gown and stepped out of the room to let me prepare and then re-entered to conduct a very thorough exam but very sensitive to my needs. She was caring but professional and very knowledgable of cutting

treatments which she explained in detail citing results. Her specialty is Radiation Oncology. She arranged for me to have a CAT scan the very next morning at a time convenient to me and responded by phone to me personally with the results of that scan. The treatment involved another physician and before calling me she had already called to arrange an appt for me with that physician. The information packet given to me by the office of

"Dr
Austin Oncologists Provider Name Locked
is a great communicator and a brilliant doctor. He allows his patients to make informed decisions and works with them in making those decisions. He is a great advocate for his patients, and he is REAL... he is easy to talk to. I make my appointments several months in advance, so I don't know about his availability. His new clinic is downtown - it is a large clinic and not as personable as the previous office... but it is definitely worth the drive downtown to have him be my doc. My phone experiences with his clinic have also been positive. Dr

isn't always on time - but that is because if someone needs to talk to him, he will take the time to talk to them - which is really important in

"My husband died two months after his diagnosis. His death is no reflection on Dr.
Austin Oncologists Provider Name Locked
and his staff. Dr.
Austin Oncologists Provider Name Locked
is an excellent, caring physician and I would recommend him to anyone in need. When a loved one has a terminal illness, it is espcially important to have a physician who will do everything he can to treat that person. When treatments are not accomplishing the desired outcome, it is even more important to have a good, honest physician."

"He is very interested in the patients, very concerned. Cancer treatment is a long term endeavor and he is in it for the long haul. I would recommend him to anyone."

"In 2003 my husband and I chose to move forward with invitro fertilization. Due to my history of Factor V and DVT my fertility doctor recommended that I see a blood specialist to monitor the invitro process and pregnancy. He Recommended Dr

. I met first with Dr
Austin Oncologists Provider Name Locked
for a blood work up and consultation in the winter of 2003 (January, February or March). When we conceived in November of 2004, I started seeing him per his recommendation on a monthly basis throughout my pregnancy. Each visit to Dr
Austin Oncologists Provider Name Locked
consisted of blood being drawn in the lab and then a physical and breast exam performed by Dr
Austin Oncologists Provider Name Locked
. It was and is my feeling the breast exams was both inappropriate and unnecessary. Unnecessary because I was in the care of an OB/GYN and did not need another doctor giving me breast exams. Additionally after speaking with two doctors and my therapist it is clear that there was no medical reason for an oncologist/hematologist to perform repeated breast exams. Inappropriate because he never had a nurse ask me to disrobe and put on a gown. A nurse never came into the room for any reason. I was escorted to the room and told to wait for the doctor. There was never a chaperone present during the exams, he often offered to help unbutton and/or button my clothing and/or

. I was always very uncomfortable with the examinations but I had lost 3 babies and was horribly stressed and vulnerable during this pregnancy. My choice to continue with him month after month of uncomfortable breast exams was driven by fear of losing another baby. I trusted that he was helping me keep my baby and so ignored my discomfort. Finally I told my husband how uncomfortable I was and that I thought the exams were unnecessary. He came with me to an appointment. When Dr
Austin Oncologists Provider Name Locked
came into the exam room, he introduced himself to my husband. Said congratulations on the pregnancy, said the blood work all looked fine and that he d see me the next time. I said, that s all? He said yep and sent us on our way. No breast exam! It is my strong belief that Dr
Austin Oncologists Provider Name Locked
sexually abused me. I think what he did to me was molestation in a sexual nature. He should not be allowed to harm other women in this manner. I have had to endure months of therapy to come to terms with what he did to me. I am a victim of a crime. He should be punished. Dr
Austin Oncologists Provider Name Locked
was recently fined by the Texas Medical Board for the exact same "infraction" with another female patient. I have since heard of 2 other women he gave unnecessary breast exams. I have filed a complaint with the Texas Medical Board and am considering a civil suit.

"I liked Dr.
Austin Oncologists Provider Name Locked
from the first visit. She went over all the options, surgical and otherwise, and discussed the things I could make decisions about (whether or not to keep ovaries). It turned out I didn't have a choice about one ovary, but she knew I wanted to keep them so saved the other one. I've had extensive pain and follow up and Dr.
Austin Oncologists Provider Name Locked
and the staff have treated me with great respect and care. There was endless paperwork for my employer, so having supportive staff at Texas Oncology was invaluable.
