"I had the L4-L5 Laminectomy / Decompression and it was a very positive experience, hardly any pain and my leg pain is all gone. I am so grateful to Dr
for fixing" my pain. He is very competent and I would trust him completely if I needed another surgery. The only problem was he is so busy he doesn't have a lot of time to spend with you but his staff is great and keep him free for what he needs to be doing.

"My first, and last as it turns out, appt. with Dr.
was fine. He's pleasant and his office is pretty easy to get to. He told me that I'd have the" surgery on a Wed. and be back on the treadmill and at the office on Monday. After having the surgery, I'm not sure how "Wonderwoman" you'd have to be to actually be back at work and exercising that soon. This man told me what I wanted to hear and I bought it hook, line, and sinker. On the guidance of a friend, I got a second opinion and saw what a much better neurosurgeon acts like; Dr.
did not do a neuro exam, in fact my first appt lasted 15 mins. I think he billed my insurance company about $400. My appt with Dr.
White took almost 2 hours and included a neuro exam and in depth review, with me, of my MRI and other xrays. I can't express the difference between these two docs other than to say, night and day.

"From the first appointment thru my 2 post-op visits, Dr
has been just great. Four months ago I had a disc removed. He was very friendly and helpful to my family" and he actually came and checked on me before he went home. He talked to me in a way I could understand and he is very kind. He even gave me a name of a woman similiar in age who had the same surgery so I could get a handle on what recovery would be like.

Having been a long time migraine sufferer, I can honestly say that Dr.
Austin Neurosurgeons Provider Name Locked
has been one of the best doctors I have seen over the years. His approach worked like a charm for me and I have enjoyed years of feeling better than I ever had in the past... to the point where I really didn't need to think about it anymore. With age comes change and I find myself once again needing to look at alternatives to help the headaches. You can bet that Dr.
Austin Neurosurgeons Provider Name Locked
was the first and only one on my list to contact again!

Love this guy! Lots of selling points for him. 1) Surgery was a success, what more could you ask for. 2) He has a great bedside manner - gentle and confidant without being the least bit intimidating. It is clear he cares about his patients and doesn't just see his relationship with us as ending on the operating table. 3) The nurses at
Austin Neurosurgeons Provider Name Locked
all love him, that to me says a lot. 4) His physician's assistant at the hospital, who comes along in the bargain if you use him, is also excellent and inspires confidence. I would absolutely recommend him.

I was very disappionted. As a professional myself, I have very little respect for someone who will not refer someone for a second opinion. That was the reason I decided not to use him.

I am so very thankful that I did some research on his website, and found out how little he had told me. I feel like it saved my health. I'm facing a procedure that could result in paralysis, death, and the loss of my voice. I knew none of that when I finished speaking with him. I view that as patient neglect. At least tell me what you're going to do to me!

If you want to consult with him, make sure to get other opinions and do your homework. I have no idea if he's a good surgeon technically, but he stinks in terms of informed consent.

He is very professional. He is very thorough and a perfectionist at getting things done. He is very upfront and tries other alternatives before considering surgery. It is sometimes hard to get in when you want to. The office staff is very nice. I will have to use him again since I really have a bad spine problem.
