We purchased a $800 BigTooth Maple tree at the end of April 2014, including their people to deliver and plant it. I was promised that it would be delivered within 10 days and was like pulling teeth to get the order fulfilled. Finally, we got it 3 weeks later after several calls and broken promises.
I coincidentally had a certified Arborist treating other trees on my property 2 months later & noticed that my New Maple was Root bound!. I remember seeing a web ad that the trees are fresh. Wow, thanks to the Arborist happening on it, commenting that the tree was left in the pot too long, he made corrections and hopefully we'll be able to save it! Beware! Have your investment checked by a professional if you find your perfect tree from the D & B selection.

They came to our house and looked at the area to be worked on. They sent us an estimate in a timely manner.
They came on the scheduled day and worked with our builder who was less than cooperative. The completed the job when they had told us that they would.
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
was very professional and he was excellent at talking to our builder and making sure all was as it should be.
Definitely would hire them again.

I had purchased this as an Angie's Deal. Although it took awhile to set things up with
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
because of the high volume of Big Deal buyers , once we got a day planned, things worked out great.
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
is very easy to work with and has a great crew of workers. He is very passionate about his work and is brimming over with knowledge about soil, plant care, and natural products.
Most of the work was just cleaning out of my beds, but
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
also took out a dead palm, helped me select another plant to take its place and put the new plant in for me. He then called later to make sure I was clear on care of the new plant and how to best give it a healthy start in its new environment
My yard looks great (before it would accuse me of neglect every time I went into the back yard). I now love to go back there and feel happy every time I see the yard rather than cringing. I will call on
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
every time I need specific landscape work and plan to use him periodically for basics like compost mulch, natural soil treatment, and other plant healthy advice. He really has great knowledge about natural landscaping.
The costs noted above are as follows:
$199 Big Deal for 8 hours of landscape work
$175 for the plant I selected at the wholesale nursery he uses
$150 planting and soil treatment

Called and left a message that I was interested in hiring
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
. No response. Emailed
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
to inquire about services, and gave a detailed list of what I wanted done. Several days later I got a response of "Where do you live?". Sent an email telling where I lived although I had listed my address in my email. No response. No reply. No nothing. Does that sound professional?

Our grass was dying, our backyard was a little blah, and the dog had run some ?trails? where the grass would no longer grow and thus became mud pits. We met with
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and his associate
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and were presented with a plan.
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
is very professional and really makes an effort to understand and work with you -- he is very responsive and has great solutions!
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
likewise has a wealth of knowledge in plants and is great to work with! The entire team was very hard-working and detailed. We had landscaping and lawn replacement done in the front and back yards, which included a custom-built plant box along the pool wall and a small patio. And thanks to a dog-run solution, peace has been restored in our household now that the dog no longer constantly runs into the house with muddy paws. Very impressed with
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and his team and will definitely work with them again.

Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
(and
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
) have been great in understanding our desire to go as native and organic as possible. They've set up beds, and returned to clean them up when we neglected them. They understand our desire to make the yard a place for our kids to play and learn.
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
surprised us in the kitchen garden with a stone nook with "windows" for the kids to enjoy watching the garden grow. (The cats like it, too.)
Specifics? 1.) Numerous flower beds throughout front and back yards. Set up and tweaked over time. 2.) Fabulous raised-bed, dry stack kitchen garden with drip irrigation throughout. Worked with our desire to utilize Square Foot Gardening principles (and build trellises over walkways.) Much oohing and ahhing from visitors. Drip lines allow it to thrive when we vacation, and because we'd never remember to water regularly. Approx.150 sq feet. magnet for kids in neighborhood. Magnet ditto the flower beds, which allow for kids to play IN, not just around. As we wish. 3.) Corrected poorly laid (by someone else) stone borders in front yard.
In the beginning we worked in phases, doing a bit in the spring, a bit in the fall. Working around ideas and schedules.
We let things grow for a few years, and are now revisiting some more ideas.
This Spring, I was stumped on how to arrange a series of square trellises on the back fence.
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
nailed it.
Now they are about to help us with an awkward transition between outdoor living area, and back yard. How to approach this area stumped me. They listened to how we use the space and what we'd like, came up with a great idea and will implement this month.
Are they the least expensive? Nope. Been there, done that, too. Find that I prefer working with folks who know what they are doing, and letting them do it.
What we especially like?
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and his crew are professionals. We discuss what we like, what is doable, and listen to their advice. No need to

I found
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
on Angie's list and from an ad in the Oak Hill Gazette. I talked to the owner,
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
the first time I called. I asked him to come out and give me and estimate for the work and would he pick up compost and mulch from Natural Gardner. He said he bought all his supplies from a company called
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and said they were comparable to Natural Gardner's product and that it was organic but less expensive. Instead of coming out to give me an estimate he said he would buy the bags and come out at seven the next morning. I didn't like the idea but I needed it done this week so I let him talk me into it which I rarely do so that was my failing. I agreed on price of $200 to $250 based on $6.00 a bag and square footage. After our conversation I looked up
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and the picture of the compost looked dry and had a lot of sticks. I called
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
back and told him I'd rather not use their product because of the way it looked and he got worked up and huffy and said he already bought all the bags and couldn't take them back. His
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and manner about my questions and concerns were far from good customer service. He pretty much bullied his way through the whole conversation. I ended up calling
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
to ask about their compost and they said it was dark rich compost with what I knew to be correct compost ingredients that I wanted.
I felt totally exasperated and upset with myself for being pushed into this but decided that I had done the research and to let him come out and do the job. He did show up right at seven. He wanted to start immediately but I asked to look at the compost and mulch first. He threw down a couple of bags and I had to tear them open. None of the bags said
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
on them and I questioned him about it and he continued on with his grouchy put out sort of attitude and told me he got the compost from them but go the mulch from someone else. It was Texas Native mulch so I said ok. He hurriedly looked at the beds and said it would be about $250-300 now and that the compost was more expensive than $6.00 per bag. I reminded him he said $200-250 so finally we went with $250. He didn't want to spread the compost thin, he complained about my asking questions and said
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
sat behind a desk but he did the work and what did they know! The product looked ok so I just let him spread it. When he was almost finished I looked at the beds in the back and there was a bunch of gray white looking dirt in a big area. I ask about it and he told me it was compost but probably old. I didn't want to use that bag but all the remaining ones were like that. We went back and forth until I got him to deduct the bags from my bill and not use them. I paid him $230.00 which after what I went through with him was way too steep This guy was $100% uninterested in good customer relations and could have cared less. The only thing that was good about this experience was that he did spread the mulch very well and he was fast. Other than that there's no way I would use him because basically he gave me no reason to trust him to be honest with me.

Everything was completed within 4 days to our satisfaction. The crew consisted of extremely skilled stone workers who sculpted an amazing patio from flagstone and gravel and decorative stone pathways. Everything is level and permeable and more beautiful than we imagined when we started planning. All drainage problems were addressed and solved.
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Our backyard went from a useless muddy mess to a beautiful outdoor space we can use and enjoy. The results exceeded our expectations and well worth the price.

Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and his crew were awesome! They worked very hard to turn my backyard from a living nightmare to a very pleasant and maintainable retreat.
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
carefully listened carefully to what I wanted and submitted a proposal. He responded quickly to questions and kept me posted on the start date. He came back the day before his crew started to go over the details and confirm what I wanted. He arrived with his crew and managed the project throughout. His crew worked very hard as they dug the weeds out of my backyard and installed zoysia grass, relocated parts of a stone walkway and filled the spaces between the stones with concrete, installed a couple of planting beds and areas of decomposed granite along with steel edging, trimmed a fig tree, removed an invasive grape vine, stabilized four large planters on concrete blocks, and poured a concrete pad for a hot tub and two rain barrels.
Austin Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and his team were cheerful and adaptable to several changes and additions I asked for along the way. They went above the call of duty in all respects. The experience was as stress free for me as possible. I could not be happier with the way the project went and with the results.
