"We live on a slope and have a retaining wall around 1/2 of our front yard. We also live on a corner, and a few weeks ago the corner of our wall was demolished by a truck that took the turn too fast.

He agreed to do this, but informed us that he would recommend using recycled limestone because it would match better and was very up front about the fact that this would cost more than new limestone. We agreed to that. He brought samples by, and they just weren't quite right. So he brought some additional samples of stone that was a different color, but that he said that he had gotten a deal on it and would redo the entire wall with a mix of that stone and new limestone. The price he gave on redoing the entire wall was extremely reasonable; so we agreed. It took a while to get started because

had a death in his family the week the job was supposed to start, which is understandable. He called us and made sure we knew what his plans were. His crew showed up when he said they would. Once the job was begun, they worked very fast. The work was beautiful, the crew was polite, and they cleaned up very thoroughly when they finished. We are very pleased with the results and feel that we got a good value for our money. Our neighbors have been very complimentary of the new wall as well. I would highly recommend this company."

He is attentive to your preferences, offers good suggestions on possible alternatives that might look better and makes sure the work is done to your liking. For this project he is repairing a terrible job another mason or rather wanna be mason out of Michigan attempted and pretty much blew on all levels. He then capped the tops with a white limestone which gives the wall a very contemporary feel and look. "

, weed-infested front, side and back yards. They started with an innovative and creative design incorporating native plants, flagstones, zoysia grass decomposed granite (DG) and river rocks. Our house sits on a slight slope from east to west. A French drain had been installed possibly as long as 50 years ago and had long since stopped draining. We have two mature trees -- one in front and one in back. Everything else that we had in the yards consisted of sparse grass, weeds, old stonework and a handful of native plants on the corner near the street. After we approved the design,

took almost everything out of our yards, including the ancient French drain, which was no small task. (Removal of the concrete driveway was subcontracted.) They then installed an irrigation system, a DG driveway, walkways, patio stone, and probably the most dramatic feature -- a dry creek bed leading from the front, along the north side and back to the back street (Our back yard faces another street). This feature is both visually appealing and practical (Not that we get enough rain on our property to actually fill the creek bed!). They then completed the design with the rest of the features which include a wide variety of native plants chosen based on when they bloom throughout the year, so we would have color as often as possible. They also installed a steel box planter in a corner behind our deck where the soil is too shallow to support plants. The transformation was like night to day. These guys worked furiously to get this job completed, then returned for several follow-up visits. We were so pleased with their work that we contracted with them to continue services on a monthly basis. We like the fact that we can still get out and putter around in the yard ourselves -- raking leaves, pulling weeds, etc., but if we don't get around to it, the experts know exactly what needs to be done.
