Austin Internet Service Providers Reviews

"We have been
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
customers since
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
started sometime in the early 2000's.
Over the last few years, we have had serious, long-term ongoing problems maintaining an adequate
internet connection and connection speeds with
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
. Our connection speed can be as low as 0.1 MBPS....more /> We have placed numerous calls to
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
over the last few years. In the last month we have had three service
technicians visit our property. Each of these visits have required my us to take time off of work. Two of these visits were required due to mistakes made by technicians. We were assured by the last technician that our service would be functioning normally; however, this has not happened.
It is unclear to me that
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
is able to either provide adequate service or appropriately troubleshoot their
service. I am at a loss for how to receive the service that we pay for from
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
.

"Wehostinpad.com - Worst web hosting / domain registrar ever.
I moved my two domains over to
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
a month or
so ago. Their “unlimited space” was in reality only 10GB. I started posting my
site of 16Gb. When asking their tech why I was only given 10GB on an unlimited package
I was told once I was close to reaching my 10GBs they would increase the limit.
I posted 9.5GB up the first night. The next day I emailed tech support to get
my space increased. I was then told I could not post pictures or just about
anything else but links to other sites. I asked to cancel my account after only
having it for 2 days. Their tech guy was a real jerk. It took them three weeks And
several emails and phone calls to credit my account back after their “fees” were taken out.
I then tried to move my two domains back to the original registrar of GoDaddy.
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked

actively blocked the transfer back to the original registrar and gave me the
reason of it was less than the 60 days ICANN would allow. Per ICANN rules I’m allowed
to move the domains back to the original registrar before the 60 days. I emailed
them back saying that over a week ago and no reply. I filed a written complaint
with ICANN and am waiting the 5 days
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
has to respond. They are
purposely delaying the transfer of my domains away from their bad service. I
have to send emails to the same tech that is causing all of the problems just
to make a DNS change as I have lost control over my sites. I would tell
everyone I know to avoid using
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
for anything. They are the
worst registrar / web hosting company I have ever dealt with. I’m the director
of IT at a major medical practice. My sites are for posting pictures of my
family and vacations along with the tools I use for work. I have paid for my two domains up front, one for 2 years
and the other for one. I have no access to my domains and their tech guy is actively
blocking the transfer to my original registrar.
I was with GoDaddy for years with no complaints. I was
looking to save some money but ended up in a nightmare. GoDaddy never once said
anything about what I had on my site the entire time it was on their servers. I
have reposted my site back to GoDaddy and they still have not complained about
anything on my site.
I would tell everyone to avoid doing any business with

came to my house the day after I called. He was a little late because he was finishing up another project, but he called a half hour or so before his due time and said that he would be a little late. I really appreciated the call. He diagnosed the problem and explained to me why the system wasn't working in its previous state. He fixed the problem and was very thorough in testing the fix. He also passed on quite a few tips about software and operating systems, which was very helpful. He's very knowledgeable in computers and is very interesting to talk to. He also said that if I have any other problem, just give him a call and he'd walk me a solution or come back out again. I'll definitely use him again!

"I had been a TWC customer for over 10 years (TV, Internet, & Phone). They kept increasing their prices and have inferior offerings compared with DirecTV and AT&T U-Verse, and have the worst technical and customer service I have ever experienced. Switched to DirecTV and U-verse for internet/voice and couldn't be happier.

"Absolutely terrible customer service. They schedule in 13-hour blocks. The most recent TV and Internet outage prompted me to call to schedule a tech visit, because it's always the same issue (with the line at the utility pole). Of course, I was told that it was my cable modem that was bad and I needed to exchange it at my local TWC office. I'd already done that. Twice, in fact, in the past three months. And, if my cable modem was the culprit, then why are my HD channels out? First line of customer service provided no solutions (reboot your modem, is the coaxial connection secure, etc.) besides offering to send a tech SIX DAYS later. I demanded to speak to a supervisor (the first of three conversations with "supervisors") which got me absolutely nowhere. Sure enough, after hours on the phone and SIX DAYS without HD or Internet service, the tech shows up (without calling first, had to leave an important meeting at work to meet him) and informs me that it's a "line problem" AGAIN and all I can do is wait for some other tech department to fix it within 24 hours (like it's a favor to me that it will be fixed so soon - after all, it's only been SEVEN DAYS now).
The unfortunate part is that
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
Comm does not provide service in my neighborhood. ATT U-Verse isn't there yet, either.
TWC is a behemoth that cares not about individual residential consumers. They have a monopoly in many areas (unless you want to purchase your internet, TV and phone separately) on bundled service. They offer no genuine concern for restoring faulty service and/or equipment, and offer nothing but off-the-shelf solutions (reboot the modem and/or cable box. didn't work? repeat. repeat again).
Do yourself a favor and use
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
Communications, ATT U-Verse, Direct TV, Dish Network, etc. for your TV and ISP needs.

"At 3;45 PM that day, an automated response message contacted me to tell me that due to abnormally high call volumes, it would be closer to six when they would be here. By 5:30, I was getting antsy, so I called the same number the recorded message originated from, and got the AT&T dispatcher on the line. Her name was
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
, and she told me that the order was cancelled because the technician had no apartment number. No one ever called me ask for the number, in fact, no one called me at all when they arrived, as they had the last time. He could have gotten that number...in fact anyone could have..if they had bothered. So I blew a whole entire day off waiting around for nothing! I asked to speak with the supervisor.
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
said she would have someone call. I waited, then called again, asked to speak to a supervisor.
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
spoke with me and said that the technician had come to the complex and knocked on a door, but got no answer. My cell was on me the entire day, so I know that nobody called me to get the apartment number. The only time I left all day was to take to trash out, and my cell was on me then.

set another appointment for the next day, Monday 7/25, at around 8:00AM. I am calling first thing on Monday morning, 7/25, and speaking with someone in the retention department for AT&T. I want to hear one really good reason they deserve to keep my business--between the poor communication, the lousy equipment, and the huge prices. By the way-- I don't want to fail to mention a $21.00 or so cramming charge from a mysterious third party, which AT&T was superb about taking care of. It was from a company called M-Cube, and the lady on the other line said that it was a behavior that the FCC is about to start cracking down on. It was taken care of by her without her even batting an eyelash. So, hats off to AT&T for at least being helpful with that issue. As for these other problems, I will keep you posted. As for right now, I am extremely, extremely dissatisfied. I expect better from a telecom company that is more expensive than anyone else out there.

The next day, I spoke to a representative in the Retention Department. She gave me $ 75.00 credit on my bill and contacted the dispatcher to see to it that someone came out ASAP to replace my DVR. The guy came out that morning and did what he was supposed to do. They were very, very good about addressing my concerns. I was overall satified with the outcome.

is amazing! What I appreciate the most about
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
is he tries to really understand what you want and then makes recommendations on how to get you there...very solution oriented and a great problem solver. He made some great recommendations and steered me away from some things that I didn't really need. He even told me the things I should buy myself versus buying through him because it made more sense. He seems to really enjoy his work and take pride in it. He is very honest and just a good guy and wants to make sure you are happy with his work. No wonder he has such amazing ratings on Angie's List -- it's all true! Such a great experience, I'll call
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
every time I need any A/V or cabling work done.

"They were absolutely terrible. It was over-priced. They had poor quality. They had awful customer service. I can't say anything good about them. I would put them up there with one of the worst companies I have had to deal with. I never got good service. I had a package deal with them. One day I lost service to everything but my cell phone. I work at home most of the time and I needed reliable service in my area. I called them and they said they knew their was an outage in my area bu they can't come work on it until a certain number of people call and complain. That was when I said I can't use them anymore."

"Although I was original promised "free installation" in the promoted deal, after I went through the long signup process on the phone, they surprised me by saying I would have to pay $20. The amount is no big deal but I wondered if I was dealing with a bait-and-switch. IN FACT, THIS ASPECT OF THE PROMOTION IS DISGUSTING: The prompt postcard I received has its fine print in tiny yellow letters on white background! Impossible to read! As far as the finished product in each of the three categories: 1) Broadband Internet: I seem to be getting a consistent 6 megabits per second download speed. A-OK. 2) Digital Television: mediocre designed menus. Inferior to Time-
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
. 3) Telephone: Inferior to other VOIP services in terms of features included...but do get free long-distance US/Canada. (I only got it because of package deal.) BUT I DESPISE
Austin Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
TELEPHONE FOR THIS REASON: They sold my name/number to solicitors & within 20 minutes of my connecting a phone, the onslaught began.
