Everything about the process went very well. I received the complete report the same day of the inspection and in less than a day I was able to turn the report into a repair list and begin the services that will be required to correct deficiencies. The walkthrough after the inspection was extremely helpful.

was very thorough and was happy to explain things to us. We are first time homebuyers, so we really didn't know much about these things.
communicated to us that he is working for us, not the realtor, not the seller, etc. He promptly gave us a complete report.
suggested that we have several specialists, including an electrician, plumber, and painter, take a further look at things. We did that and were able to get the seller to give us money based on the the quotes we got for the work the specialists recommended. We have also had a couple questions once we owned the house. We called up
and he was happy to give us his advice. Overall, we were very happy with his services.

We were very pleased with the home inspection service provided by
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
Home Inspections! We were on a tight timeline, and
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
and his inspector
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
squeezed us in their busy schedule the very same day our offer was accepted on our new house. They were prompt, thorough, and explained everything to us once they had completed the inspection to make sure we understood which issues were the most important to take care of as part of the closing process, and which my husband and I could handle ourselves later on.
We were able to conveniently pay with a credit card, and a digital receipt was emailed to us for our records. Also, we received a digital copy of the full inspection report, complete with photos and descriptions of each issue they came across. Super helpful! We used this report to work with our realtor to decide what we should ask the homeowners to fix before closing. Highly recommend for dependable, timely, trustworthy service!

There is a lot of uneasiness as your having a home built. Financially it is likely to be your largest purchase, and it directly impacts the safety of your family. You can have the most respected general contractor/builder in the world, but remember a lot of the work is subcontracted out. You have to worry about whichever subcontractor they are able to use getting it right when it matters the most to you. Having a qualified inspector review your new construction is an easy, cost effective way to become more at ease with such a large purchase. My builder was happy to have another set of eyes review their work and welcomed any input. I was lucky enough to tag along with
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
as he worked his way through the house. I would recommend it, and
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
does not mind. He answered all questions I had. I sanity checked builder responses to some of my questions off of him, too.
As for his report, it is very through and is broken down into sections. Any issues discovered have a picture with a corresponding write-up as to why it is a recommendation, deficiency, or pure violation of code. Each issue is written up individually and has a corresponding picture illustrating the words. There are even arrows on the picture directly pointing to the issue.
Sections of Report:
- Roofs, Flashing, & Chimneys - Exterior Walls & Gutters - General Plumbing - Bathroom - Panel Box - Interior Walls - Laundry Area My builder and I had a subsequent meeting and discussed resolutions to all issues
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
raised in his report. I am very satisfied with the service
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
provided.

As the other reviewer noted, he was very nice to talk to and responded all the question I had during the inspection, but it turned out he missed the leaking under the kitchen counter, which is something very elementary, I think, for any home inspection.
Additionally, he is done and gone after getting paid. I had some follow-up questions after the inspection, he said he would reply my email about those questions, but never did. If those questions were out of his line of work, he should have said so and I would have been fine. You just feel ignored and get to think about someone twice when he says he would do it and never does it.
I would not recommend him to anyone.

conducted a very thorough inspection and provided a detailed report within approximately 24 hours of finishing the job. After completing his approximately seven hour inspection, he took the time to discuss his findings with us and to explain whether a particular matter was something that was the result of poor workmanship or due to the normal aging or settling of the house (even though the house was less than a year old).
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
' primary report was 45 pages long (there were secondary reports or information that he provided as well). In the main report, he listed each finding and included a color picture, where appropriate, to show exactly the finding that he was describing (as the old saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words!). He also listed next to each finding whether the item was a code violation or not, and if so, referenced the particular code. We found it interesting that the builder, who had the house inspected at numerous times during the building process, found none of these items. Yet
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
found over a hundred issues which he noted in his report (many of which were code violations). Overall, if you have decided on a home to purchase, whether it is a new home or a resale, we highly recommend that before you close, you have
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
conduct an inspection to protect your interest and hard earned money.

Doing business with
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
was a pleasure. As usual the option period stated for our home purchase was short. I phoned
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
and
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
Chitsey was able to provide an inspection within two days of my request.
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
spent eight hours inspecting every aspect of the house, top to bottom, providing us with a very detailed 37 page report. The report included photos and helpful information on the condition of everything from the roofing to the slab. We learned that overall the home was in great condition and well built, with fairly minor repairs needed. Based on
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
' report we felt secure in completing the purchase of the home. Also, because of his report we were able to have roof repairs done and three windows replaced by the former home owners. During our negotiation period
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
was always available to me to offer help and suggestions in securing the repairs. My husband and I are very pleased with the service of
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
and
Austin Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
Chitsey; we highly recommend them. We both felt it was not worth taking shortcuts, as we have experienced, where an inspector took 1 1/2 hours viewing a home and didn't find many issues that were not easily seen.
