"I called and left a message requesting an estimate and also let them know that I'd gotten their name and number from Angie's List. It's been 3+ weeks and I've not received a return call."

"Mr.
Austin Asphalt Driveway Contractors Provider Name Locked
scheduled an appointment to meet with me the same day at 4 pm and did not show up until the next day as I was about to go out the door. I specifically asked him for a ballpark estimate of how much it would cost to pave a small driveway. He had said it would be in the $2-3,000 dollar range over the phone, I need not have wasted my time waiting for him to do an estimate."

What causes driveway cracks?

Unsightly cracks in your driveway can result from a number of factors. (Photo courtesy of Angie’s List member Joe D. of Rosemount, Minn.)

Cracks in a new driveway can be extremely frustrating, so it’s important for homeowners to understand just what causes those cracks in order to best avoid having the cracks mar their home’s appearance.

How to repair driveway cracks

As driveways age, some cracking is inevitable, no matter how well the driveway was built. Knowing the basics of repairing driveway cracks will help you keep your home looking good for as long as possible.

Should you expand your driveway?

Sometime your needs outgrow the space of an old driveway and expansion is necessary. (Photo courtesy of Angie’s List member Nyle K. of Indianapolis)

When you need a little more room to maneuver, expanding your driveway is a wonderful way to upgrade your property. However, this is not a project that you want to tackle without thinking about all the angles.

Are heated driveways worth the expense?

Imagine staying inside on a cold, snowy winter morning and not venturing outside to shovel your driveway. (Photo courtesy of Angie’s List member Janett D. of Carmel, Ind.)

In deep winter, you may have no better feeling than knowing that you’ll never have to shovel your driveway. Heated driveways are great to have, but do their benefits add up to make them worth the expense?

Austin Asphalt Driveway Contractors Reviews

"They asked me for the total amount of the job up front and I said I would give half then, and half the following day after the product had dried. They then tried to lower the amount of the total job so that I would write a check for $400, but I refused. In the morning I found they had basically spray painted the driveway black. They tried to cash the check, but fortunately I had put a stop order on it. These guys are a running a scam. I do not believe they run a legitimate business, despite driving a truck with the company's name on it and issuing a (bogus) receipt (that did not contain the company's address or contact information)."

explained that all the small cracks in my driveway would be filled before coating was applied. I could see where something was sprayed over the cracks, but it did not come close to filling them. The coating was applied, but the "filler" took several days to dry and got tracked all over the place. The coating they used had a very noxious odor to it that lasted about a week. The coating is EXTREMELY slippery when it's wet. So, every time it rains, the driveway becomes very dangerous. Our car tires spin on it and we have to be very careful when walking not to slip and fall. I've left phone messages without a response."

did a great resurfacing job on a deteriorated asphalt driveway. The whole job from estimate to completion was handled flawlessly. A pleasure dealing with them."
