was great from start to finish. He provided us with a quote before beginning work, and stayed on target with that throughout the entire process. He is very professional, and gets everything done within his promised timeline. We continue to use

"We have been remodeling our home gradually for the last 4 years, using a combination of contractors and doing the work ourselves. We have found it difficult to get honest skilled craftsmen and have been forced to do much of our remodeling ourselves.
Austin General Contractors Provider Name Locked
was fantastic. He emailed a written quote, turned up on time, was pleasant to have around, and did an outstanding job. The framing looks wonderful. We would definitely recommend him to our friends."

Austin General Contractors Reviews

"The entire job experience was very positive. When I called Mr.
Austin General Contractors Provider Name Locked
to schedule an estimate, he actually answered his cell. Throughout the course of the job, he would either answer his phone, or immediately return my call. I never had to play phone tag to reach him. He arrived on time for the estimate, and pointed out different options I could take on the repairs I needed. He was very friendly, took the time to explain the work, and answered my questions. His estimate arrived by email when promised, and he began the job a few days later. Mr.
Austin General Contractors Provider Name Locked
was prompt, efficient, and very quick with his work. I couldn't believe how fast he moved from one task to the next. He cleaned up after himself completely, not even smudging the doors or leaving a mess in the yard after cutting flagstone. All he left behind was quality work. He made a followup visit after his painters finished, and spent time going over their work to make sure it met his standards. As a veteran of many house renovations, I've had several experiences with contractors that were less than ideal. With JT
Austin General Contractors Provider Name Locked
Construction, the whole job went the way it seems like it should (but seldom does). I fully plan to call again for a larger remodel in the near future.

"It went really well from start to finish. The former renters whom I evicted had left the house in chambels and had kicked in doors and put holes in walls through out the house. I had no idea how much the cost of doors was and didn't have a clue as to what to get.

meet me one afternoon and after showing him he house, he took notes and went to home depot and got all the supplies and materials I needed. He got the correct doors ( I had looked on line the night before and was about to purchase the wrong stuff) and installed them in just a few days. I wasn't major pressed for time but I did want it done so Mr.
Austin General Contractors Provider Name Locked
worked late one night and came over on the weekend to finish up the job. I watched him do some of the work and was amazed as to how it looked before and after. One frame in particular was uneven and I thought it would be a major task to install a new door. Although it took some time, the door fits perfect and looks great. He patched up the holes with some drywall board and I reapinted the rooms. Overall it was a great experience for me and the work was excellent.

"Overall I would advise Angieslist users to avoid Mr.
Austin General Contractors Provider Name Locked
. Initial contact is acceptable, but as time wears on his hippie and free spirit act wears thin. The man is quite unprofessional: he does not show up on time, makes promises he does not keep (or intend to keep), and does not finish what he starts. Hire somebody with better work habits, somebody who understands the true meaning of professionalism instead. Does the tile look good? Mr.
Austin General Contractors Provider Name Locked
was recommended to me by one of my other subs at my custom home site, and the primary basis for the recommendation was the supposed quality of his work. The quality would be quite acceptable, if he actually paid attention to detail and took the time to FULLY finish what he started. As it is, it is incomplete, and therefore unacceptable. I did end up with two cracked tiles, some of the floor tiles he put in ended up uneven, and there were several places where he should have grouted but did not. He always promised that he would "show up" and make it right, but he never followed through, or did so way too late. His pricing is average. There are others with similar skills who will do the type of work he does for less. He did not overcharge me, but he somehow got the impression that he was giving me a great deal on his price, which was not the case. Overall grade: D+/C- There are better people out there who don't play games.

"Initial quote was for 4 days and $2800 + installation materials (I supplied the
Austin General Contractors Provider Name Locked
and groove planks). Contractor came and looked at the job beforehand, and I provided installation instructions and a video on how the product was installed. I therefore felt the contractor should have a good idea of how long it should take. They started on Tuesday and were supposed to be done on Friday. After 4 days, job was about 2/3 done. Contractor didn't offer to work weekend to finish job, so I did about 15-20% of the work myself that weekend. On Monday morning, contractor tells me they are already $1,000 over on labor. I tell him I'm not paying since I did some of the work myself and he gave me a quote for $2800 labor. He then agreed to the original price for labor and charged about $570 for installation materials."

"I called the
Austin General Contractors Provider Name Locked
last Thursday morning and spoke to a very pleasant gentleman. After taking all of my information down, he said he needed to check the schedule and would call me back within a half hour to let me know when someone would be able to come by the house. I have not heard from them since."

"It went very well. He came when he said he would, worked hard, pleasant to have around. We knew we had to have the porch and greenhouse fixed and he did an amazing job on them. He even cleaned the windows at the top in the greenhouse while he was up on the ladder! It was frosting on the cake when he agreed to do the many "extra" jobs around the house, such as stabilizing the dining room table, replacing a toilet paper holder, minor plumbing, repairing a broken vanity door, etc, etc."

"It took several days before I got a return call, and had a bit of trouble finding out when the work would get done. But after I spoke with the scheduler, they gave me a date and I received a call from the workman to get approval to work. He did the work on time and did a professional job."
A
"Everyone was professional and easy to work with. They did the work efficiently and cleanly. When items had to be moved, each one was carefully replaced. I was really very impressed by the quality of the work and with the care and pride each person took in doing his or her job."
