"We dealt with
Austin Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
. We got this service as an "Angie's List Big Deal", so I'm not sure what the regular price was.
Austin Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
showed up when he said he would, and called me when he was just a few minutes away, as we requested. The whole job took between 3 and 4 hours. The tub he refinished was installed in 1947, white porcelain, and was slightly pitted and dull due to years of bleach and Ajax scrubbing. The bottom was not smooth and was uncomfortable to sit in. The refinish job left the tub bright white and very smooth with a nice shine. We would recommend

"I was pleased and amazed by the results. For much less than the cost of tearing out and replacing the tub and sinks, it looks really good. You can tell it's been refinished, but the work is excellent. The guy spent a full work day prepping the surfaces - chemical peel, sanding, sanding, sanding, and so on. Masked the entire bathroom and then applied the new surface. There are products available at the hardward store for about 50 bucks to do this yourself, but if you read the amazon reviews on those products, all the users say they are worthless. This was much less expensive than replacement and an excellent outcome. Your house will smell funny for a couple of days - the chemicals they use are serious.

"This review is way overdue, but on Angie's List today and finally getting around to my
Austin Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
post. Originally had

out to refinish our two tubs back in December or 2010. (Did an outstanding job & we were delighted with the work and how great both the tubs looked.) In January of this year (2013), I contacted

re: some minor peeling that was occurring around one of the drains in one of the tubs they'd refinished.
Austin Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
sent out a crew member within the week to fix the area that was peeling, at no charge. There were no questions, no arguments, and absolutely no hassles with getting the area repaired - they just came out and fixed it. And here it is 9 months later and the fix and the original

all look and are holding up great. KUDOS on original & warranty work well done!

and the crew re-grouted the kitchen and bathroom floor tiles in my new home making the floors look brand new. Most impressively they removed the old grout and caulking in my master shower and bathtub making them truly look like new. Lastly they filled cracking and missing caulking in the kitchen and bath countertops making everything look clean and finished. Absolutely wonderful work with courteous service at great prices. "

"The initial experience with A.B.R. was good and we loved the new color - made the stalls look new. However, in June (6 months later) we noticed some paint flaking in one part of the shower stall. One of the original guys (the more experienced one, in my opinion) came out and worked several hours to completely sand off the area where the paint hadn't stuck and then touch it all up. Looked good. Then in November (11 months after the original job) another, different, small spot of flaking occurred. Again, the more experienced of the original two came out, sanded, and touched that up. we've not had a bit of flaking or other problems with the larger bathtub/shower stall. I'm of the opinion that the more experienced guy (I think his name was

, but it could have been

, which is what my old note says were the two guys) was the one that did the bathtub/shower and the less experienced guy did the shower stall - I don't think he sanded the old finish thoroughly enough, hence the If we'd only had the bathtub/shower done and that experience, I'd rate them higher. The two patch jobs lower my rating. The 5 yr. warranty is good, we've not paid a dime for the patching. Hope we don't have to have any more done, since it's a hassle. I'd sure recommend that you be sure to move everything out of the bathroom(s) you have done because the paint is thick and the little globs do float around. Check all around for overspray right after they're done and either get them to clean it up or you do it with paint thinner. The key to a good finish is the amount of sanding and prep work they do. The paint just sprays on, though do examine the finished job very, very closely for drip runs immediately when they're done. They can touch those up pretty easily then. If it drys they have to sand a bunch before touching up.

"The refinished bathtubs and tiled walls are gorgeous. Their work is perfect. The workers were on-time and very nice. They cleaned up everything when the job was done, and talked to me about the correct type of products to clean the tubs with. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. "

"This is the second experience I've had with
Austin Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
. Each time has been great. I needed the tub and tile surround fairly quickly so they sent someone on a Saturday. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and professional. I am very pleased with the end result. If I had another tub I would use them again!"

"The company did a great job. They taped and protected everything and I had no problems. I am recommending them to others. The only hitch (not the company's fault) is that they use pretty noxious chemicals. Ideally, I would keep the area closed off for a day ot two. "

"It was a two day job. First day to prep the area, remove fixtures, and spray the epoxy. The second day was to reattach the fixtures once the area was dry. My unit was empty so I'm not sure how long (hours) it took. You might ask that if you hire this firm. Overall I was happy with the quality and service of this company. I would use them again."

"I called numerous places seeking a company to refinish a claw foot bathtub that I recently acquired. There are so many in
Austin Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
, and the prices range dramatically! All of the companies seemed to pretty much say the same things, almost like they mock each other. After further searching, I came across
Austin Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
. When I called them, the guy was really informative. He spoke to me like I'm just a person having a normal conversation instead of a person he's trying to get money from. He informed me of a lot of things that others had possibly lied to me about or exaggerated about. I didn't confirm that I was going to use his company during our conversation, so he had no idea if I actually was. Something that I thought was a bit odd was that he called me back a couple of hours after we spoke and told me a few things I needed to know when I called other companies so that I would know if I were being told the truth. He told me of other companies that he would suggest I use if I didn't use his company, but after checking them out, I went with his company. He seemed to have the most knowledge out of any of them, and his company specializes in antiques, which is what I was really looking for. The day they came out and did the job went really well. All of the other companies kept saying the same thing, 3 hours, 3 hours, 3 hours. Well, it took him 6! I honestly believe, now, after seeing the way he did it, that if I would have hired one of those "3 hour" companies, I would regret it in the end. I took the day off from work so I could be home to watch the work being performed. He started off going over all safety measures and precautions, and then he started working. Before every step, he called me in the room to explain what he was doing and why he was doing them. He really made me feel at ease about having the work done. When it was complete, it looked absolutely amazing! I was so happy with the work. The work came with a free 8 year warranty that covers anything that happens to the tub due to his materials or workmanship. No other company offered a warranty anywhere near that long. He explained why he is confident offering such a long warranty and I am comfortable with it, as well. Pretty much, it all comes down to this, after all is said and done, I am so glad I used this company. I am positive that if I would have used another company, I would have either gotten ripped off or bad work! This company is the best! This company is actually very experienced at this work. Be careful who you choose. After going through this experience and gaining a customer/client relationship with
Austin Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
, I assure you that if you don't be careful and pay attention to who you decide, you can end up in a very bad situation and end up spending much more money than you could have imagined. Do yourself a favor and use
