Auto Repair Reviews in Austin

The person was very, very rude. Just trying to get information and had questions. Person on phone, didn't give a name and I didn't ask for one and I obviously annoyed him with my questions because out of the blue he said that I could go elsewhere so I will.

This provider has consistently harassed my home stopping by at inconvenient times, even after politely requesting multiple times that they stop coming over and "offering" their services.
After the previous time I was satisfied, as
(The nominal owner, and the person whom has been over on at least four separate occasions) on the phone after visit three or four assured me that he would never bother us again. He then stopped by YET AGAIN TODAY, and when I called him to complain after acknowledging that he remembered now he was not supposed to return proceeded to hang up on me without even so much as an apology.
This type of professionalism and repeated attempts at sales (even approaching my daughter and wife at different times, and attempting to strong-arm sale them) make me never want to use ANY place that resorts to door-to-door sales. Even though I realize that not all are like this.

Auto Repair reviews in Austin

I've used Sterling for body work 4 times in the last year. Each time was an insurance claim and they handled all of the back end negotiations and supplements with the insurance companies. They work on high-end vehicles and do very good work. Two separate times, I noticed some slight imperfections in the paint (I'm a real stickler for the record), and both times they recognized the flaws, had the vehicle repainted and paid for my rental car for the additional days. Noone's perfect, but they do the right thing every time.

Our car had front end damage.
Austin Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
had the car for a little over two weeks. The car looks and drives perfectly. They even made a follow up call to make sure we were happy with the service. This type of old school service is a welcome change from what you usually deal with these days.
These guys are great to deal with and I would definitely recommend them.

The insurance company of the driver who dented my rear bumper gave me a list of Preferred Providers. I used Angie's List to choose

Fickle was very helpful is assisting us on the insurance claim. We were not at fault in the collision and were a little unsure on how it would proceed but she advised us on a couple of the sticky points and our car was repaired and returned back to us in great shape.

Excellent. The car looks great. Paint job fabulous. They returned it on time and priced as promised.

My classic '66 mustang had totally rusted out rocker panels, a slightly twisted body (due to the rocker panels i think), bent

lid, and several other rusted sheet metal panels such as the floor pans, fender or two, etc. With the bad rocker panels the car was unsafe to drive since it would twist so much on turns and bumps. Drippin' Paint gave me an estimate of about $5500 (more or less) to replace all the pieces, get the body straight, and install subframe connectors. Because some of the floor

work connected to the engine bay they expected to have to pull the engine.
The work took about 3 or 4 months but this is a classic car and I was in no mood to rush them.
When they were done, the parts were nicely primed for paint, the chrome trim was back on, the car was straight and solid. Turns out they did not have to pull the engine or perform some other labor they were expecting in the bid which resulted in a savings of about $1000. They even treated the inside of the rocker panels to prevent rust.
I have driven the car about 12000 miles since then and am highly satisfied with the work. Due to the stiff body it corners better than either of my two other cars, and there is no sign of any issues with any of their body work.

Every one was very responsive and the individual,
Austin Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
, who did my initial inspection followed up with me through the couple of days that the car was in the shop. He explained everything to me clearly and met all of my expectations. Every employee I encountered was friendly and helpful.
I would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

My company car was involved in a low speed rear end collision that appeared to have resulted in minimal damage to my vehicle, basically just a creased rear bumper and and the
Austin Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
would no longer close properly. The other driver's insurance company sent out an appraiser to assess the damage on my vehicle resulting in them sending a check for a minimal amount. When I attempted to get appraisals from repair facilities, they consistently told me they wouldn't bother because an appraisal by the insurance company had been made. If I wanted to drop it off and have them do the work, they would be happy to work with the insurance company. I was trying to get an assessment independent of the original appraiser to find out what the true cost of repair was going to be, as I didn't want the companies making up costs to get to the full "estimated" amount from the insurance company if the damage was actually less. If I instead just told them that I was paying for it, they either didn't want to deal with me or gave me an extremely large repair estimate

I finally took it over to
Austin Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
. I had heard one of their commercials months earlier where they were talking about donating part of their earnings to help out the Bastrop Fire victims and had noted that this would be a good community based business. The salesman that approached to help me,
Austin Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
Guedeney, listened to what the situation I was in and, unlike all the other businesses I had been to, explained how the process with insurance companies works and why it was pointless for both them and I to get another estimate once an appraiser for the insurance company has made his decision. He offered to take a look at the car anyway just to see what was wrong. He immediately pointed out a lot of issues I hadn't noticed and advised that the original settlement offer was not going to be close to covering the damages. After listening to his explanation, I decided to leave the car with them and have them make the repairs.

They had the adjuster come back out and review the car at which point the adjuster declared it totaled. The car ended up sitting on their lot for a couple of weeks while the insurance company and I worked out the financial details of them totaling my car. I bought the car back and notified
Austin Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
. I had never wanted the car repaired to the level the insurance company was insisting on because it was overkill for an eleven year old car.
Austin Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
knew what I was looking for and offered a very reasonable repair rate to get the car back to proper working order and appearance. Three days later is was completed. During this whole process, I regularly received calls from
Austin Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
to let me know how it was proceeding, and I was able to check on it whenever I wanted by going to their website and seeing it's current process status. Everything looks the same as it did before the wreck.
