"Fantastic experience. She appraised the items quickly and thoroughly providing all I needed for insurance scheduled property. You are able to see your items at all" times. We were there approximatly an hour for her to complete the work. Would highly recommend.

"I arrived and was met by the appraiser. We discussed various pieces I considered for appraisal. He examined the entire collection and told me which ones were not" valuable enough for insurance. He examined and photographed each piece, and used some of the equipment he had to test the content and purity of some pieces. He emailed me the completed appraisal about two weeks later. He was very flexible about date and place. Rather than drive to his office, I met with him at a local insurance office. He gave excellent service and I think it was a great value.

The owner was very conscientious, very meticulous and extremely responsive. I visited the Dallas location (
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
/Royal) and was very happy with the service and the quality. He uses exact same batteries that other places use and their prices are about half, of what I normally paid elsewhere. Very good experience!

They are always so friendly and helpful at
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
Jewelry.
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
took the time to explain why my engagement ring needed a more secure mounting for my diamond to make sure I don't have the same problem in the future. I also love to look at their exquisite collection of new and "gently worn" jewelry. I'm on the lookout for a new diamond tennis bracelet and can't wait to go back in and look at their pieces.

He came to my mother's home, and spent 6 hours doing a detailed appraisal of her jewelry.. He examined each piece very carefully and took pictures of each piece. He answered all of our questions while doing the appraisal. Upon completion, he provided her with a written appraisal, including pictures, which she could then forward to her insurance company. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for an expert appraiser.

We met with the
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
and walked the home. We did a general inventory and estimate of pricing. We signed on with the
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
Team and they designed the sale, staged the house, used great practices and strategies that helped with the organization and sale. They had a "showcase" where they limited access to one room where they professionally displayed this person's fine jewelry, silver, china, etc. They used their own cases which reminded me of a jewelry store. The handlers of our sale were just great. They were courteous and professional. And let me say, I'd never try this type of sale by myself or with a few friends. This type of estate sale takes professionals. Some of the characters that come to these sales are very challenging and having experience with these types of people is very important. I was on site and watched the mayhem unfold and really appreciated the way this team smoothly handled everything from the parking to the sale of a vehicle, etc. Afterwards, they cleaned the whole house and left it in saleable condition. Just a top notch job by experienced professionals. This was my second time in 5 years using
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
and
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
and I was again, very impressed.

I found out that Mr
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
is not owner .,the owner...
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
( sorry I did not get his last.name) just changed the price and was not too concerned about customer ( my) satisfaction. If he had just had someone call me and tell me that it was overpriced and asked me what I wanted, it would not have been a problem. And to add insult to injury, I have been a very good buyer of their's and literally bought thousands of dollars of items from them. So , the owner,
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
, does not care about buyers or sellers in the long run. I brought my "$100" mirror home and will find a place for it. So, seller beware. You may not be contacted if they decide to change price of your lot. .
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
will sell at price he thinks should sell. Customer beware! Does not matter how much you spend,
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
will not work with you or give you the respect of calling you if you want to sell something! They have lost a very good customer as a result of this... This is FYI ... You be the judge

The sale itself was an absolute fiasco. He did not provide a detailed list of all items to be sold prior to the auction (which was written in his contract and it's a state statute), and afterwards gave me a vague list of what was sold so it is impossible for me to reconcile what is known to be missing. I did pretty much did 80% of the prep work including buying boxes and filling them with tons of items, and when the auction occurred and he had an auctioneer here who I never saw his license. We had a lot of items go missing after the auction and since there no detailed list we were never able to reconcile where the discrepancy is. The detailed list should have been provided prior as per the state statute. We have made repeated attempts to get the information from him, both through the state regulating board and attorney, and at this point we are trying to sever the contract and move on, but he is no longer communicating with us or our attorney.

He kept pushing an offer about 75,000 less than the current value of the house (and 20,000 less than the reserve price) 2 weeks prior to the auction, but said the person offering could not afford his commision. When the auction occurs ZERO people showed up for auction of the house. I've spoke with different auctioneers and spoke with the auction board and they said it was very odd nobody showed up. We were sold a service that was not provided, the auction itself was not performed in accordance to the state statutes which are currently set by the state DPOR who are currently investigating the matter. If they're this comfortable doing this to me and my senior parents while I was here I can't even imagine what they'd do on their own.

The tag sale was at our house in Upper
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
. We did a walk thru with the
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
's and talked about the sale, and what we could expect. They promised security before and during the sale, and that we would get an itemized list with the proceeds from the sale. Ayything deemed unsalable would be put aside for us to deal with. We decided to hire them. We moved and turned a key over to them approximately three weeks before the sale. The sale took place as planned. It was held on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They asked us not to be present at the sale because they felt that if a customer knew the owner was on site they would try to deal with the owner rather than the person running the sale. We returned to the house on Sunday expecting most of our items to be gone, but less than half had been sold. Some items were in the trash can outside our house. Prior to the sale, we were told that we would get the list and the check within 7-10 days, but we did not receive it for over 2 weeks, and there was no itemized list, only carbon copies of receipts that were not itemized. We attempted to contact
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
and
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
but got no response, finally sending a certified letter that
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
responded with a phone call. It turns out the missing items were stolen, or just not written down on the receipts. Neither
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
or
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
actually performed the sale, they had their daughter
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
Stolzenbach running the sale, and threw her under the bus for the stolen and missing items, and the receipts not being itemized. During the walk thru prior to the sale, we asked if they were bonded and insured, and they assured us they were, but refused to give us the name of the insurance company so we could make a claim to recover the cost of the alleged stolen items. The
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
's have been difficult to reach and difficult to deal with.
Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
especially has been verbally abusive during phone calls. I would NOT recommend anyone use this couple as appraisers or to run a tag sale. Extremely unprofessional, rude and dishonest.

Austin Antique Appraisers Provider Name Locked
was punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable. She went through my entire coin collection (which took longer than the 2 hours included in the deal), made me an offer, and wrote a check on the spot. I would definitely call her if I ever need her services again.
