Not only great service but it appears to me that the product they are selling was top of the line vs some competitors that sold a less efficient model."

"Overall experience went well. Honest, high quality work that looks good, and more importantly will last for years. I would recommend without hesitation. The only thing I would note, is that there are multiple plumbing technicians, and some have much more experience than others. We had to spread the plumbing work out over an extended period of time due to remodeling issues unrelated to plumbing and had 2 different plumbing technicians come out at different times. I found the older, more experienced technician was more efficient and gave me more options of potential solutions. (No surprise, but just something to be aware of.)
also seems more expensive than I would expect on smaller jobs, but they are defiitely competitive on bids for larger jobs."

"They were prompt and came on out. The tech said that sometimes a piece of rust will come out the bottom, hit the flame just so and knock the light out. He took the time and showed me how to relight it on my own, drain the tank to get the sediment out. I appreciate the fact that he took the time.
While that was several years ago, I called them in May 2010 because my toilet was leaking. It was from the water line from the wall to the tank. The guy who answered the phone told me that it would cost me $80 for them to come and look at it. So he gave me some advice on how to fix it on my own, if that didn't work, he told me to call back. I got the part from Home Depot and was able to fix it myself for only $20 in parts from Home Depot. Now, he could've easily said nothing so they could make money, but he was honest and helpful. They won points with me that day that if I ever had a plumbing issue, these are the guys I'm going to call."

"Everything went well. They had an angie's list coupon which I used for a discount. They removed my old tank and put in a new one with an expansion tank. I used them because they actually gave me a quote on the phone rather than playing the standard plumber's game of "we price by the job and can't tell how much it will be until we get there". They gave me a ballpark idea of how much it would be on the phone and it wound up being pretty right on when they got done. They seemed honest and straight forward. I would def use them again."

"Company owner came by to assess our needs and gave us an estimate. Two service men came out and installed the water heaters and cleaned up after themselves. The next day the company owner called to see if all went well."

"The chief contractor, , was very much "hands on". He was always punctual for appointments and in response to phone calls and his recommendations clearly enhanced the final outcome of the project. His subcontractors were also very professional and kept the work space clean and the exterior site neighbor friendly. The only cost over-runs in this project were due to unanticipated construction obstacles or from design upgrades that we selected. Overall we were delighted and would use this company again without hesitation. In fact, we have already recommended Rich for one of our neighbor's projects."

"When we called , the dispatcher told us that although they usually sent someone out the same day as the call, they would not be able to send someone out until the next day, Friday. A technician arrived around 2:30 on Friday. After a quick look, he determined that the water heater had been submerged in water and told us that he would have to call the technical support line to find out how to service the unit.
He warned us that once he called he would start the clock on the service call, which was a jaw-dropping $232.00 an hour. He recommended we just go ahead and replace the unit because it would probably be less expensive than trying to fix it. Tankless water heaters run upwards of $1000.00 and this unit was less than five years old, so we were hesitant. The technician seemed irritated and impatient that we had more questions and wanted to weigh our options.
We were heading out of town later that evening, so instead of deciding what to do then and there we made an appointment for the following Friday. We rearranged our work schedules so that we could be there for the appointment.
The next Friday we got a call from the Plumbpro dispatcher telling us that they were bumping us from the schedule because another customer had an emergency. She told us that someone would come the next day, Saturday, though the tech support line was closed on Saturdays but all the plumbing supply houses were open so the plumber would be able to get whatever parts he needed to repair our water heater.
Since I work by appointment and had to cancel several clients to wait for them, this was not only an inconvenience but also a loss of income for no reason.
On Saturday, a different technician showed up. He told us that he had been trained in four different brands of tankless water heaters but not . He asked for the operating manual and went to look at the unit. When he came back up from the basement, he said he could guess at two parts that could have caused the problem but as far as he could tell the rest of the unit was in good shape and since it was new he would not recommend replacing it. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do about it since, regardless of what their dispatcher had told us the day before, all the plumbing supply houses were closed on Saturdays and he would not be able to get the needed parts.
He told us that he would call first thing Monday morning and get back to us ASAP. Once again we rearranged work schedules for Monday.
After 9:30 a.m. on Monday with no word from Plumbpro, we called them. The dispatcher told us that technician #2 was not working that day because he had been on call over the weekend, so she was going to send technician #1, the impatient one who recommended we replace the water heater. She told us he would call and tell us when he was on his way.
By now we were fed up. In all this time, the only thing we had gotten from was the run-around and we had no faith in the first technician at all.
We cancelled the call and went back to Angie's List to find another plumber. The second company we called told us that while they did install and service tankless water heaters, they weren't trained in servicing . But they gave us excellent advice. They suggested that we go to the website and find a certified technician, which we now know to do in the future.
We found a certified technician who came out that very day, had all the parts he needed in his truck, and in a matter of minutes had the unit in working condition! And, at a fraction of the price that quoted us!!! Not only did he restore water to us after ten days of waiting around for Plumpros to deliver, he also stayed around and gave us a lesson about how water heaters worked and how to make them more efficient. He suggested we insulate the pipes and told us that in spite of what the Plumbpro plumbers told us, recirculating units will not work with tankless water heaters and installing one would be a waste of money.
Later that day I got a message from , the owner of . To his credit, he was calling not only to apologize but also to ask for feedback so that they would be able to use this situation as a learning experience.
I called him back the next day and told him that I would have had great respect for them if they had admitted that they had no experience with water heaters and had given the same advice as the second company we called. I thought that showed great integrity, honesty and good customer service. I suggested they list the names of the brands they service so that Plumbpro and their customers wouldn't have to waste time and money on call.
Mr. apologized and hinted that he was sending us something "not to compensate" but as a token of his profound disappointment at not delivering good service.
My feeling about is that they are a very small company that probably does deliver most of the time, but are easily overwhelmed by too many calls all at once. Even so, for a company that size, there seemed to be a very high degree of miscommunication among the dispatchers and the technicians, and among the technicians themselves.
A few days later, a letter of apology came in the mail from . Enclosed was a free one year service agreement and two $25.00 referral coupons to pass along to friends and family. That was his attempt at redeeming his company! It would have been laughable if it wasn't so insulting. After giving us terrible and contradictory advice about replacing our water heater, bumping us from the schedule to service another customer, causing us to miss several days of work and loss of income, not to mention the inconvenience of being without hot water for days, why would we ever consider calling them back? Much less, subject our family and friends to possibly similar service! What a joke!"

"I called on Wednesday afternoon and got an appointment for early Thursday(8:00 am). 's employee was right on time. He tried to save me the expense of getting a new heater by replacing the thermocouple, but unfortunately the pilot would not stay lit(the problem turned out to be a broken gas valve, the replacement of which wouldn't have made sense). He returned with a new water heater within an hour and had it installed very quickly. Unfortunately, my condo property was having a separate water issue when was installing the heater, so we couldn't fill the tank after the installation. 's employee told me to call him whenever the water came back on and he would fill the tank and test the installation. He came back that night at 7:00(the water didn't come back on until 5:00 or so and he was at another appointment)to complete and test the installation, even though he had been working for 11 hours that day. Terrific service and a fair price-couldn't ask for more."

"The technician, , arrived the morning after our call. He would have come sooner, but it wasn't an emergency per our assessment. He replaced the bad unit with a new model. Retrofitted pipes and vents to suit the new, taller heater and tie into our second tank. He also had to remove a wooden railing to remove the unit, then rebuilt it without additional cost. Took the old heater with him. Our expansion tank was new, so that wasn't included in the price. In and out in about 2 hours. Quick, clean, professional and efficient. Great work! Would highly recommend to anyone."

"Punctual and professional, courteous and helpful. The price was reasonable and cleaned up the work site. I provided the faucet sets, so the units themselves are not covered by a warranty from C&A, labor is covered up to 90 days. Water heater supplied by C&A has a warranty that is 6 years on tank, 2 on parts, 2 on labor."
