"This was the worst experience that I have ever had at a vet. I had been to several times in the past and thought that they did a mediocre service at a high price, but I didn't have time to go for another vet. In September, 2009, I went in to to have blood and urine tests on my15 ...more year-old small cat. I told the technician that my cat will bite and I really need to hold him when you try to get a urine sample. The tech told me that that wouldn't be necessary (like what I had just suggested was silly) and took the cat in the back. A few minutes later the veterinarian rushed into the room holding my cat at arms length by the back of the neck (like he had the plague) in a rather frantic manner and said that my cat had just bit the technician and handed the cat back to me. I asked where and how bad was the bite. He said that his canine tooth went about half way into the tech's pinky finger and that he had called

County Animal Control. The vet told me that I could not leave until

County Animal Control showed up to talk to me about my cat, so I had to waited over two hours for them to come and I never did see or talk to them. I was so shocked at how incompetent the vet tech and the veterinarian were and how poorly they handled this situation. I warned the tech about the cat and apparently, no precaution was taken. They both acted so surprised about an animal bite and so unprepared to handle it. They acted like my cat was a wild animal that they were really frightened of. My cat is very nice, but when people start poking at him, he gets scared and will bite. I wonder how they handle bigger aggressive animals -- run away? Needless to say, after that, the only thing that I was interested in doing was never going back to

. And, in talking to my neighbors, I have heard three other horror stories about how

treated their animals. "

"The vet was professional and courteous. However, the front staff, with very few exceptions, seemed uncaring for the people or the animals (almost like the clients were impositions), and often disorganized. Most often, after calling ahead and being told of the time to pick up the refills, I would walk in and have to wait over 15 minutes only to be informed ...more that the prescriptions were not ready....and in a waiting area that seems filthy. Overall, a frustrating experience."
