Atlanta Storage Facilities Reviews

"My husband and I had hired a "no-name, cheap" mover when we moved into our townhome 10 years ago. They damaged some of our goods so we decided to pay more for a "reputable" moving company when we moved out this winter - Bulldog. Unfortunately, the experience with
Atlanta Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
was drastically worse than the previous movers and cost about 5 times as much. A sales rep (Adriaan) came to our home to quote us. He is a SALESMAN!!! I truly believe we would not have so may items damages if Bulldog would spend half as much time training their movers as they do their sales staff. The issues we had are as follows:

- On our move out, the movers didn't apply any protective care to the upstairs and ruined the carpet. When I asked the head "supervisor" he said it happens and it states in the fine print its not their responsibility to clean it up. After calling the company to complain, he found some Fantastic and tried to clean it. You do NOT clean carpet with Fantastic...it just attracts dirt to the fibers going forward.

- On the move out, they didn't put any protective coating over the stair rail and had several chunks of wood missing after the move. Once again, the Supervisor did nothing until I called the company to complain. Then, he just used a pen to cover up the exposed wood.

- During the storage period, I called the previously overly nice saleman and asked them what their schedule looked like for the week we planning on moving. At that point renovations weren't completed, so I wasn't ready to reserve the move but wanted to know the current options. The "salesman" was VERY unprofessional, rude, and sarcastic to me. I guess once they have you in, the professionalism comes to a halt.

- On move-in day, the movers were more careful to place pads and protective covering over most of the areas. I was thankful that the move-in day was looking brighter than the move-out day. Well, that lasted only so long. I found one of the movers trying to sneak-fix a broken dining room leg - to a VERY nice dining room table we received as a wedding gift from our parents. He literally was in a corner with wood glue. When confronted, a lot of finger pointing ensued. In the end, 3 separate legs were broken.

- They also mis-packed a lamp and damaged the shade beyond repair. There were 6 separate holes in the shade.

- After finding the broken dining room table legs and lamp shade, I asked to them to unpack the other lamps and glass items before leaving so I could see if anything else was damaged. Using razors, they opened the boxes and slashed one of the lamp cords.

- They also damaged (1) a corner to my nice leather couch that now has 3 nails sticking out the side, (2) left a chunk of wood missing from an antique rocking chair from my grandmother, and (3) 2 fine china candle sticks never appeared (my only guess is they broke them in packing and hid that too).

- When moving my washer out, I specifically told the "supervisor" not to move the washer until I replaced the bolts that came with it. He said they move them all the time and it was not necessary. Well, it was. The drum broke and it took $600 to repair.

- I had to sign appx 5 forms when reserving the date, including an insurance form for the specific coverage I wanted. Needless to say, I was completely shocked when they asked me to sign an long "fine print" detailed insurance document at the end of the move-out. By that point, half the movers were back in their truck and my daughter was hysterically crying. I didn't have time to review it but the "supervisor" said I had to sign it right then and there. I find it unethical and ironic that this "surprise document" was the only one they left to last minute. Apparently, in that document there was enough fine print where none of the damaged items above would meet the criteria to be fixed by bulldog. They don't repair washers. They wouldn't replace the other damaged goods, just fix. At fixing, the cost would not exceed my deductible.

Please, if you care about your house or your personal belongings, do more research than I did. If you don't care, at least use a cheaper company.

"They did everything that was expected of them and more. Took time and care to pack up the furnishing--and all made it to the new place with no damage. Throughout the move, they would ask how things were going. If the move was going as expected. Afterwards, they walked me through the house to see if everything was where it should be, if the furniture was undamaged, etc."

"It was not too good. The response is extremely slow. If you need support or want them to pick it up you have to wait half an hour to an hour before someone picks it up. "

"These guys are top-notch.
Atlanta Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
was our team leader on both pick up and delivery. They were simply outstanding and all team members took pride in their work. They also worked with enthusiasm, and were sensitive to taking good care of my items. If I ever need it again, I will definitely call these guys and ask for the same team! Thanks, Guys! (I rated the price a "b" because of the minimum time limits, which I didn't need, but I did appreciate their working 7 days a week!)"

"My biggest complaint was the person from Beltman who came to do the survey did a terrible job. He was obviously a salesman, even though they already had the contract. He
Atlanta Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
me to believe that my items would be weighed and I would know how far I was from my shipment limits each day. That was totally bogus. During the packout, when the movers showed up and I called him on a lot of the
Atlanta Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
that he told me, he denied everything. I then realized that he just told me what I wanted to hear when he did the survey. He overestimated the shipment causing me a great deal of stress and frustration. He said there would be a crew chief there all day, everyday. This too was bogus until I called and complained. The moving crew actually did a good job, but my shipment hasn't arrived yet so not sure what will be broken. The first day was a disaster because of all the
Atlanta Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
of the guy who did the surveys. Not to mention, no one from Beltman management staff ever came to my house to see how things were going even after I complained to
Atlanta Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
. The movers said they were scared. The bottom line is, don't trust them when they tell you something. I had to use them since this was government sponsored travel. If you have to use them. Get everything in writing and don't trust what the survey guy (
Atlanta Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
, I think his name was) tells you. He is just trying to make a sale.

"We have used public storage since 1994. They have always done an excellent job of keeping our things safe. I appreciate the courtesy call that they give when the due date is near. I have noticed that our public storage facility does change managers quite frequently, but each one has been very professional, throughout the years."

"The crew from
Atlanta Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
arrived on time, padded and wrapped just about everything in my house, moved without harming the furniture or the house, and cleaned up after themselves. They were all polite and courteous and the crew chief was very knowledgeable, efficient and professional. I have moved several times in the past couple of years, and this was by far the best moving crew that I have come across. I would also like to add that all of the crew members worked continuously without a lunch or other breaks. They came ready to work and did.

"They were EXCELLENT!
Atlanta Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
,
Atlanta Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
and
Atlanta Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
were the 3 man crew sent to help me move from my apartment complex to a single familly home for a local move. They arrived on time, had a fantastic attitude & energy and able to make this move as painless as possible. We had to deal with some frustrating situations at the apartment complex (management unwilling to assist with elevator operations and a pesky security guard who tried to restrict movement, etc) but the crew dealt with it professionally and moved as efficiently as possible. Although the pricing was little more than I wanted to spend, the service level was worth the extra dollars and cents. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to move quickly and who has high value items because this 3 man crew will take special care of all your cargo. Any of my future moves will be going to

"I worked easilty with my contact in planning and setting up the construction of a new shed in my
Atlanta Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
. The project was a little complicated and included demolishing an old existing structure and building a new shed on top of that foundation. I am happy with the finished product and feel it was a good value. But, issues with the contractor arose after the building was finished. It took several phone calls, emails and even texts for them to come back and clean up the property, including removing the debris from the old structure, leftover lumbar and trash. It was six weeks before they came back and cleaned up. I feel they really dropped the ball at the end.
