"Two gentlemen from
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
arrived 10 minutes early. They were very professional and outlined the activities that they would execute on. They split up, and as one loaded the truck, the other took care of carefully packaging fragile items and dismantling the bed. They were very efficient and the entire process took less than 4 hours. I would definitely recommend them, and would call them again."

"The move went perfectly. I arranged the move several weeks in advance. On the Friday before the move, they called to confirm. The movers showed up on time Sat morning. They wrapped all our furniture, lamps, etc.. in blankets. My Father-in-law has a daybed which was taken apart at the old apt. and they assembled at the new apt. They were quick and conscientious with our things. Also very professional and courteous. We had to use elevators at both assisted living facilities and they very polite to the other residients. We were charged by the hour (3.5 hours) as expected and the tape used to wrap the blankets was an extra charge ($7.50 per roll - charged for 2)."

Moving? Avoid these 3 hidden fees

Tips for moving out of state

Dear Angie: I am moving out of state from Denver to Florida and am looking for tips to make the move go easier. We plan to pack boxes ourselves to keep the costs down. What advice can you give on how to pack and how to find a good, affordable mover? – Linda M., Denver

"Overall great. Move was completed in one day, versus competitors who wanted to stretch it out to multiple days. Some last minute adjustments in pricing to add staff to ensure completion in one day"

"It was not too good. The response is extremely slow. If you need support or want them to pick it up you have to wait half an hour to an hour before someone picks it up. "

"Their quote was for $2600 which was very reasonable as they would pack the whole house and move. They would be packing on the 17th of December and moving on 18th December. Their customer service was very good. I was very comfortable with them for my children as they would take good care of them. My husband and I were giving this mover as a gift to our children. We had moved a part of our home a few years ago. Their representative who has been handling the move was very supportive, confident and I don't think I could mess with him as he would not let me down. He had five children and it was family run business. That was what impressed me. He said that he remembered his family and I was very happy about it. He got ready to perform the service in a couple of weeks. I liked his attention to details, the questions that he asked me and the things that he told me about. I am not sure if other companies would do that. He was extremely helpful and his quote was amazingly reasonable for the work that he would be doing. He also said that he would be right outside during the work in case if any problems occurred. He said that without me asking him about that which means a lot in this kind of business. I would not hesitate to call him if there should be a problem. They knew that my children had done some work in their home and they would be extra careful to not hurt anything in their house while moving things. They had an excellent histogram online."

"This assisted living facility referred me to this company. I was pressed for time as I had received about three days notice I needed to move my mother out of the nursing rehab center, so did not look at other providers and quite frankly did not pay close enough attention to the details of what they were offering. They sent me a bid for $210.00 an hour and wanted an additional hour to be paid for "overhead". This was supposed to pay for the services of two men and a truck. On the day of the move, they showed up with three men plus the owners husband as the supervisor. The owners husband seemed more interested in telling me how many businesses he owned before going to work with his wife, how they met, where they lived, where they used to live, etc. etc (TMI) rather than carrying out an efficient move. When we arrived at the new place, I asked them to put together a small bookcase - two of the them worked on it while two others stood and watched. Then, at the end of the move he hands me a bill for $910.00 for a move that took 2.5 hours. I was in sticker shock so I called the owner later and questioned the bill - even with the extra hour they charged at $210.00 an hour it should have only be $740.00. The husband,
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
, calls me back and explains to me he had added the extra man because it was "late in the day" and he thought it would make the move go faster and so the charge was now $260.00 an hour - he just forgot to tell me about it. He was extremely condescending. The final part of this story is we decided to move my Mother back to the retirement home and we used Smooth Moooves. This was the same move in reverse, except I had more things to move as I had bought quite a few things while my mother was in assisted living. They sent two men (no supervisor), completed the move in 2 hours (in rush hour) and charged me $250.00 and the movers were polite and extremely pleasant. I would definitely use them again. Maybe the other services they offer to help with elderly relocations are valuable and fairly priced but if all you are doing is moving, look around and find someone more reasonable and efficient.

"These guys are top-notch.
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
was our team leader on both pick up and delivery. They were simply outstanding and all team members took pride in their work. They also worked with enthusiasm, and were sensitive to taking good care of my items. If I ever need it again, I will definitely call these guys and ask for the same team! Thanks, Guys! (I rated the price a "b" because of the minimum time limits, which I didn't need, but I did appreciate their working 7 days a week!)"

"My biggest complaint was the person from Beltman who came to do the survey did a terrible job. He was obviously a salesman, even though they already had the contract. He
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
me to believe that my items would be weighed and I would know how far I was from my shipment limits each day. That was totally bogus. During the packout, when the movers showed up and I called him on a lot of the
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
that he told me, he denied everything. I then realized that he just told me what I wanted to hear when he did the survey. He overestimated the shipment causing me a great deal of stress and frustration. He said there would be a crew chief there all day, everyday. This too was bogus until I called and complained. The moving crew actually did a good job, but my shipment hasn't arrived yet so not sure what will be broken. The first day was a disaster because of all the
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
of the guy who did the surveys. Not to mention, no one from Beltman management staff ever came to my house to see how things were going even after I complained to
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
. The movers said they were scared. The bottom line is, don't trust them when they tell you something. I had to use them since this was government sponsored travel. If you have to use them. Get everything in writing and don't trust what the survey guy (
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
, I think his name was) tells you. He is just trying to make a sale.

"I enjoyed meeting with their representative. He even sent me a thank you note and I think, called to see what I had decided. Their company was very professional and I think they would be a good option for others to use."

"I chose
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
on the basis of the reviews on this site, and scheduled my move roughly a month prior to the date. I paid 1 hour ($140) in advance by credit card for a 3hr minimum; an email confirmation was sent to me immediately. The day prior to the move I received a phone confirmation that the three men would be arriving Saturday between 8-9am (as scheduled the previous month). The truckers called me when they were on their way and, like clockwork, the huge truck pulled up at about five minutes before 9, and

(the foreman) emerged. He took a quick look around and then

and

bounded upstairs and immediately got started. (They took at least one load to the truck before
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
even stopped to show me the paperwork; I appreciated this since the clock had already started.) The three men (
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
was only 18) were amazingly strong and efficient. But above all they were decent and respectful. Other than my dozens of boxes of books and my pedestal dining table, they shrink-wrapped most items (dining room chairs, huge sofa, bookshelf, and more).
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
had been with the company the longest and he told me how he'd seen the company grow to 30 trucks (if I remember correctly)! He showed a lot of pride in his work and so did the other two gentlemen. If I'd been a little more organized, timing would've been better -- but I ended up going over by 30 minutes (not so bad). From the moment they arrived, and throughout the entire move, I felt like I was in good hands -- like I'd made the right choice; I felt completely at ease. Postscript: I called
Atlanta Movers Provider Name Locked
in a panic about an hour after the movers left because I couldn't locate my laptop -- I'm in school and teach, and years of research and documents of all sorts are stored on my laptop! Before you make the same mistake, please look carefully through any boxes that you yourself did not pack: in order to consolidate some unpacked items (throw pillows, a quilt, etc), the men had used an empty box and placed my laptop in there as well to secure it. Thank goodness! There are so many horror stories out there about dishonest and unsavory movers -- these are not them!!! This was by far the best moving experience I've ever had!
