Irrigation System Reviews in Atlanta

As far as quality of work, I was very happy with
and their knowledge of sprinkler systems and irrigation. I recently purchased a foreclosure, which had two existing sprinkler systems that had not been used in 7+ years.
came out and did a free estimate and a fairly detailed evaluation of the front yard system, which I appreciated.
and his crew showed up on time both days (including one day at 7am) and did a very good job repairing the existing system. There were several pipe breaks in the grass that had to be repaired as well once the system was turned on. I was impressed with his understanding and diagnosis of the problems and his ability to solve the issues.
The only gripes I had were fairly minor and note that I paid these guys by the hour. (1)
told me that his crew worked very fast and didn't waste time when they were on the clock. I personally sat outside with them and watched all three guys the full 7.5 hours, which I don't think they liked (original estimate was 3-4 hrs). They were not the fastest workers that I have ever seen and there was definitely some leaning on the shovels, a bunch of trips to truck and watching one guy dig; however, there were two pipe breaks that had to be spliced that we didn't know about, but they did take two hours to install a hose bib and splice a two foot section of pipe (which I could have done in two hours).
Overall, had they been paid by the job, my guess is that they would have been finished in 5 hours. I brought this up to
but didn't really get much of a response other than he said that he wished it could have been less. (2) Second gripe was that
and one of his guys got into it with each other when
and I were out there towards the end. Not sure what the problem was (as it was all in Spanish), but certainly not the most professional display and attitude, especially in front of the homeowner. Again, if I'm paying by the hour, that's not the kind of nonsense that I expect to see when the clock is ticking.
Overall, I liked
and would hire him again, although I would price it by the job and not by the hour (or at least have a not-to-exceed number). That being said, I am happy with the work that was done and I feel that I received a very good, quality job and that while the overall price was probably a little higher than what I could have gotten with another company, it was by no means egregious or overly excessive.
My recommendation is to certainly call
for a quote before hiring an irrigation company.

Approximatley mid April, I contacted Oasis in reference to an irrigation system for my yard before I began a landscaping project of new sod.
I specifically stated that I had an old system which was broke and wanted to know the cost to repair it. When the tech came out to evaluate he wouldn't even entertain the idea of repairing. He was agrresively pursuing a NEW system with me. I understood his issue but still asked if he could provide both cost - repair and replace.
When I got the email (from
) with the quote it was for new system only nothing about replacing. I responded asking questions about this and a few other questions regarding the bid.
Since then I sent several follow up emails to Alexsis to ask more questions including going forward with a new system vs. repair. This is where the breakdown began. Despite numerous emails to
they either went unanswered or slow (weeks later).
Now on June 20th (2 months later I finally get an email from
apologizing for the delay stating she is prepared to have someone come out to my house again.
I responded stating that due to her gross lack of response, I had no choice but to give my money to another vendor. I could not wait on Oasis any longer.
So my personal experience with Oasis is not a good one. Therefore I will not use them nor can I recommend them.

Irrigation System reviews in Atlanta

Finally somebody that does a thorough and quality job.
we have all these folks that have just turned winterized and turned sprinklers back on -- this guy did just what we wanted -- make everything perfect.
We have lost plants and small trees in the past when the irrigation had various problems (not pointing or rotating correctly, etc.). He was fantastic in finding and correcting everything. We needed to add some stuff as we had concrete work on the backyard that had changed things and we needed lots of adjustments. He took the time to explain and then fix everything.

has managed our sprinkler service for the past 4 years. What an amazing guy! He has winter-proofed our system (no frozen or broken pipes at my house!) and restarted our sprinkler system and made all the adjustments each spring. But what I REALLY like about
Atlanta Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
is his responsiveness. I am ALWAYS able to reach him in a reasonable amount of time when there is a problem. Like when the lawn service guys run over the sprinkler head with the mowers and you wake up to neighbors telling you that you have a geyser in your yard. I can text

, send him pictures, call him, etc. He is really modern and HE does the work himself. He has taken the time to show me all the ins and outs of my system and never talks down to me. He is one of the best examples of why I love Angie's List. I love his great service.

On April 18th, I contacted this provider from Angiest list.
I explained I was doing some re-landscaping and that I had an existing system, but that it was old and not working. I was looking for the cost of either repairing what I had or new system.
He was up front with me stating he was busy but promised he would be out in 2 weeks. He came out to my home on May 23rd (after multiple emails asking for a status) - 3-5 weeks later than what he promised (and only since he was going to be in the area).
His bid was very expensive compared to others I received. Also there was no mention of repairing the old system. I emailed asking what I thought to be some polite questions to find out why he proposed what he did. Here is is my note to him:
"Thanks for taking the time to come to my home for a look over and preparing this estimate. I realize your busy with this time of the year. I won't pretend to say i'm happy with a 3K price tag. I will say that price is not within my budget. If I may ask some questions: Why 4 zones? There seems to be two for the front and two for the back. My old system only had 2 (front and back) and worked fine. Granted the old system didn't have the side to deal with (it was cement). Why does each zone have a combination of pop up and spray heads? Can anything be used from the current system - ie the tie in from city water and that box? Any of the pipes in the yard? Is there any way my existing system can be updated at a lower cost? Did this include any, if any, Angies list discounts?"
And here is his response:
"Two different companies have confirmed your existing system is junk. Utilizing anything the previous contractor installed would only lead to future problems. I do not warranty the work of others. The saying goes" you can polish a turd, but it will always be a turd. You can put

on it, then it will glitter, but it will always still be a turd. Sprays and rotors are not suppose to be on the same zone(your current system), that is why I have four zones to separate this issue. The nozzles are different on a pop up rotator and a pop up sprayhead. I am sure you can find a contractor who might take the budget approach. I warranty my workmanship and I will not mess with your existing system. Good luck."
I personally think that was quite unprofessional. If he never had the intention of entertaining a repair, he should of stated up front as to reset my expectations.

After failing to get a few previously used contractors to even return my calls, I signed up for this service through a special deal on Angie's list. I needed the tune up, but my goal was to get a leak fixed. I presented the problem to
Atlanta Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
and Vinny who couldn't have been nicer. It was a daunting task, a leak coming from beneath a giant 6 inch tree root. Vinny grabbed his shovel and went to work trying to find the line and come up with a solution. They did find the line running under this big root, and bypassed it, leak fixed! Then they checked out the whole system, got it working correctly, educated me and programmed for me. The whole thing cost much less than I was expecting for parts and labor. Great service and nice guys. They've been in business since 1980 I think, so I'm glad to know they will be around when I need help again.

Absolutely outstanding service. I called on a Friday and requested emergency service. Althought this is busiest time of year for irrigation contractors, Mr. O'
