Great Doctor who spends time with his patients! Caution: be prepared to wait about 2 hours to get to see him. Because he spends so much time with his patients, he does get backed up, but he is so worth the wait! I've been going to him for about 6 years. I was diagnosed with recurrent Pericarditis in 2005 and couldn't find a doctor willing to treat me because they could not find any underlying cause for my condition. Dr.

welcomed me and put my mind at ease. He worked with me to find the best treatment for my condition. His staff is friendly and courtious.

The appointment was scheduled late in the afternoon, so things were running a little behind. I waited 15 minutes after my appointment time in order to be brought to the examination room. Once in the room, it was only a matter of moments before Dr.
Atlanta Internists Provider Name Locked
came in. She listened to my concerns and re-addressed some of the issues that we had discussed in the past. I felt that she was thorough in covering past conditions and in the interview about current concerns. After the examination, I waited less than 5 minutes in order to have blood drawn for lab work. The phlebotomist was the BEST I have ever encountered. Giving blood is never the highlight of one's day, but she made it completely painless. THANK YOU!A few days later, I received a follow up call, reviewing test results and discussing minor medication changes. All of my questions were answered in a compassionate and professional way.

She is the most nicest, most concerned, most caring and most involved with her patient doctor I have ever met. She is very thorough, very competent and very concerned. I have to travel about 17-18 miles now to see her because she moved offices but I make the trip willingly because she is just such a really good doctor.

Dr.

is part of a very well run practice. They were able to schedule me in for an appointment within a week, even though I was a new patient. They had paperwork online to make the waiting time and paperwork in the office less. Parking was easy at the office. Front desk staff and nurses were very friendly. Dr.
Atlanta Internists Provider Name Locked
was delightful, thorough, and truly seemed to care about my concerns. It was obvious that she is a very well educated and experienced physician. She provided referrals for 2 specialty physicians for me to consider, and she printed out their information & referral during my appointment. I am so pleased that I have found an excellent primary care physician who I trust. I highly recommend her!

My wife and I have used Dr.
Atlanta Internists Provider Name Locked
for about 4 years. She listens well and has a kind, gentle way to telling patients when they are wrong. She is current with literature and has a bias in favor of out come treatments. By out come treatments, I mean she prefers not to provide an anti-biotic when the symptoms suggest the infection is viral. She listens extremely well, recalls previous visits, etc.

Failed to address my one serious health problem-went off on tangents looking for diagnoses I didn't have, then misread lab work. Had someone call me to say needed to see specialist for invasive procedure bec.of abnormal labs (they weren't abnormal) then called back after I had already checked with specialist to say labs were "normal"...no apology or explanation. Nice but poorly trained med. assistant took Hx, so recorded diagnoses I didn't have but important facts omitted. MD didn't bother to record accurate history herself. As result she was totally confused on my followup visit. Sent to another specialist for legitimate concern but turned out to be caused by my main health problem and was correcting because my medication was adjusted by another MD whose help I had sought. On my followup visit Dr.

insisted I needed to have testing done that specialist said was unnecessary. When I said I would go by specialist's recommendations, she became angry. Front office staff arrogant.

Dr.
Atlanta Internists Provider Name Locked
is horrible and hurt my health a great deal, permanently.

In the future, before taking ANY pill, I suggest everyone look it up on "ConsumerReportsHealth.Org." For just $19/ year, you can get objective 24/ 7 online access to easy-to-read lists of all the bad side-effects a pill can cause.
...More /> In contrast, when Dr.
Atlanta Internists Provider Name Locked
prescribed me Mobic pills for arthritis, she refused to warn about side-effects. The Mobic caused permanent heartburn, so that I can't sleep well at night. Then for the heartburn (she caused), she said to take Prevacid pills "forever," even though the bottle says to take them for just 2 weeks. When I asked about this, she said not to worry about those directions, and that Prevacid also had no side effects. Now it turns out that I have liver damage, and that the Prevacid probably caused it! When I started to directly ask her "Does this medicine cause side effects?", she would say "No" and even got mad. Now I have to go to a liver specialist, and probably the liver damage will be permanent, also. So Dr.
Atlanta Internists Provider Name Locked
hurt the quality and probably length of my life.

Also, Doctor
Atlanta Internists Provider Name Locked
kept trying to treat a stomach bacteria herself (h pylori, that the heartburn made worse), which was a waste of my time and money. Finally, I went to a gastroenterologist, a stomach specialist, who did cure the bacteria.
