Home Security System Reviews in Atlanta

Long story, shorter: negotiated equipment, contract length, price with sales rep. When contracted installation tech arrived to set up system, he didn't have some of the agreed upon equipment, and the contract read 60 months, instead of 36. I refused to sign contract since it was incorrect, and another tech had to come back to set up the "forgotten" equipment. Through monthly testing of the system on our end, we would find some windows/doors not signaling, or our remote access wouldn't work properly. We have scheduled about 6 service calls for our system since it was installed 6 months ago. Half the time, the service tech no-shows for scheduled appointments. They supposedly have 1 month to fix a problem with the system, but we've been waiting 2 months now for a tech to help us, but twice the person never showed up.
I have recently called to cancel our service, and instead of trying to help us fix the system, we're told "sorry you're under a 5 year contract". Remembering, I never signed the contract on the initial installation, I pulled my copy of the service agreement and saw a forged signature where my signature should have been! I don't know how I missed it, the service tech must have signed it after I said I wouldn't because the terms weren't right. After calling both
, and their parent company, Safe Home, to get copies of the "contract" they have on file… I was emailed a PDF document of the agreement where the bottom signature portion is blurry. They clearly know they did something wrong.
I have contacted BBB and an attorney. I do not have a 5 year contract with this company since I never signed one. The forgery alone is very telling of what type of bad business is happening here.

As it happened, mom's health deteriorated to the point where we had to have her move out of the house, so the system itself was never actually used. However,
provided amazing follow-up and customer service. The system itself was just as easy as they say in their advertising and the customer service and tech support people could not have been more helpful. I would definitely recommend the company although technically, we did use the actual service provided.

Ordering and installation is easy. We had some trouble with remote monitoring because company installs t-mobile chips in hardware and there is very poor t-mobile service at our house. Company is sending us a Verizon chip that we will have to replace at no charge. Hopefully it will work then.

We use Bulldog for our alarm monitoring. I called them on a Tuesday after a flooring installation team accidentally cut a sensor wire. Bulldog showed up on Friday, right on time, and fixed the wire.

Love the company, love the technology. I have recommended them to all of my friends. Very easy to install and upgrade the system in the future.

The installation went well. The first visit was to walk through the house and recommend which parts to have. They came back a week later and installed the system. It took 2 people a whole day. The alarm works fine and the cost for monthly monitoring is reasonable. This company feels more like a smaller company with special attention given to its customers. It was much better than my previous home with the big name security system. These technician from

Armored were better trained.

The home installation went very well. We have a dog that is incredibly friendly and the agent from the company did not mind his overwhelming curiosity while he was working. The agent conducted a walk-through of how to use the alarm system, as well as, a systems test with the actual service company. Any and all concerns with our alarm system have been handled through the company's customer service line in a very professional yet personable manner.

I interviewed several security firms to take over my existing home security system. I choose
Atlanta Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
based on speaking with the owner,
Atlanta Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
. He was very knowledgeable of what was needed, was prompt with information about his company, pricing, and time frame to convert. The technician that performed the conversion was very knowledgeable and courteous. Since the conversion, we have had additional questions which were promptly answered. We have also accidentally set off the alarm (more than once) and have found the alarm monitoring company to be is extremely fast in calling and very professional in demeanor. I am very pleased with switching to

I am a tenant who has
Atlanta Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
as part of her lease. The system was already installed, but I deal with
Atlanta Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
for monthly monitoring service and maintenance. For awhile, things went well. We have basic service covering doors, and it worked well for about the first 6 months. Unfortunately though, we've recently run into problems with our system communicating with
Atlanta Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
, and it isn't been fully functional. This happens about once a month--the system will cease communicating with the monitoring center. So, if the alarm is triggered, you still get the benefit of the audible alarm, but then there's no message routed to the police. Since the alarm still works when we're having communication problems, I'll still leave it on to try to

potential intruders who could be scared by the alarm. But in addition to not being fully functional, it makes a horrible beeping that you can only stop temporarily. When I asked customer service, they said the only way to stop the beeping is to fix the problem or completely disable the system. So, basically, during communication issues (which happen about once a month) I can only have it on while I'm away, otherwise the periodic beeping drives me nuts. The customer service has been TERRIBLE. - Wait times on the phone are awful. I have never waited less than 10 minutes when calling, and wait times are usually over a half hour. - The landlord has purchased a maintenance package that should allow me to order maintenance service when I need it; however, they can't seem to keep a record of that, and call the land lord every single time and won't send a technician until the landlord gives them the OK to do so. - The wait for a technician visit is also awful. Every time we've needed a technician, we've had to wait at least a week for an appointment. This includes times when the alarm isn't working. We never get a break on our bill during the time between when the alarm ceases to function properly and when the technician can come out. They're also very firm with the scheduling: I was recently preparing to go out of town when the alarm broke. I called and asked if I could get an earlier appointment so the alarm would be working by the time I left. I was routed through 3 or 4 different managers before I was told that there were absolutely no earlier times. - Last time we had a technician out to deal with the communication issues, he couldn't find an issue. In my opinion, it was likely an issue with their network, but no one would acknowledge this, and the company and the technician basically told me there was no problem. They still charged the landlord for the visit. - Because the wait for a technician is terrible, and the problems may often be related to the network, and not your own system, they should REALLY consider having some sort of self-service walkthrough feature on the phone. However, there is NOTHING like this. There are no self help options, even if something as
Atlanta Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
as rebooting the system would remedy your issue.
Atlanta Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
insists that a technician come out for every issue, probably because they charge pretty high rates for this. I gather they make significant profit from this practice, but it sure is a pain in the a** for their customers.
