"Our gazebo has a ladder to an area above the sitting area for our grandkids to crawl or walk around. However, when it rained water came through and we could not use the gazebo even during a light rain.

added plywood to the floor of of the upstairs play area in such a way that rain would run off and not puddle, added roofing material, and outdoor carpet. Now we don't have to run for the house during a light rain. This enhancement took most of the two days

was on this job.
The other job that required ingenuity was securing a brick wall that was bulging due to tree roots from a tree in our neighbor's yard. He devised a way to shore up the brick wall which should prevent it from ever falling.
As usual,
Atlanta General Contractors Provider Name Locked
showed up around 7 a.m., went over our list of things to do, and made a trip to the store for supplies. He works nonstop, never wasting a minute. He is completely trustworthy -- I don't hesitate to give him a key to my house or leave home while he is working. His bill is clear and he attaches all receipts for materials he purchased. He has been doing work for us for at least ten years, and his touches are in almost every room of our house as well as outside. I recommend him highly.

"Rich
Atlanta General Contractors Provider Name Locked
was recommended to us by our realtor. He came out promptly and gave us estimates for the work which were comparable to his competitors. We decided to go with Rich because he was really responsive and ultimately gave us the best deal. The house looks terrific and the 30 odd items on our punch list are all fixed! He and and his staff are really easy to work with and very professional. They finished all tasks right on time."

"
Atlanta General Contractors Provider Name Locked
is very professional, very detailed, and thorough. I was very impressed with how quickly he could get the work done (especially the windows!) with such high quality. I have had other contractors work on my house, by he did a better job by far and is very reasonable priced. The other thing I am impressed with is his breadth of skills. One of the jobs we had him do was paint our kitchen cabinets. They came out great. One other small note... while

was working, my youngest son (3 years old) would occasionally watch him and ask a lot of questions...

was very patient and gentle with him.

"I bought the skylight and he installed each one of them for $160. He did an excellent job. He was prompt and very friendly. When he installed it, his wife had had a baby, it was their first child and he was still able to come though it was 3 or 4 days after the baby was born. He had come in and installed some internals too. I know that he had his mother-in-law there, but still... He was so happy with the baby. He was really personable and he knows what he is doing. "

and his workers came prepared and were very careful to keep the surroundings as clean as possible. The job finished on schedule with long hours in between. They left the job as when they arrived, in pristine condition! Very impressed with this company and the price for this hard work was reasonable!. Nice to have found a company you can count on!!! Townhouse like brand new!!! Highly recommend this company to anyone that's looking for professional quality work!"

"Mr.

was on time, professional and clearly a journeyman carpenter. It has rained very hard since the job was completed, and the garage is as dry as it can be."

"It started out well -
Atlanta General Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very responsive in setting up an appointment and showing up on time. He spent adequate time talking over the project with me including finishes, the level of quality of his sub-contractors, etc. I was told it would take about 1 1/2 weeks to get back with a quote which was completely expected... Then, I didn't hear from him for almost 3 weeks as he did not respond to my emails. When I finally contacted him through his office he explained that he had been sick for an extended period of time and that is why I didn't hear from him. (Could someone in the office not have read his emails and given me a heads-up if that was the case?) He said I should expect a quote in the next few days. Instead of a quote I got an email saying he had just gotten a couple of 'big jobs' and didn't have time for my job. After further probing I got what his quote would have been ($$$ - he said that he wouldn't be the cheapest nor the most expensive, but I have to believe he is closer to expensive) and a recommendation of another company that might be able to fit in my 'small' job. From reading other reviews my expectations were definitely higher than what actually occurred. Oh well."

"They charged more than $100. They did a really great job.

was really nice. He came out quickly to do the estimate. He came out quickly to get the job done. I will consider using them again in the future."

"My total roof was replaced. I live in 80+ year old home. The house had 4 layers of old shingles that had to be removed and wood that had deteriorated. The wood was replaced, the roof done, and soffit vents were added as well. Professional job done in 2 days (rain came during the later half of the first day, but the workers worked as long as they could). The site was totally cleaned after the job was done (was pretty much the way it was before they started working). I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and would use them again."

"Horrible. The story is much more detailed than below but don't want to waste time, just warn others. Warranty and promises are worthless. Great deal of scope creep, add-ons, and do-overs. In some cases, work not permitted. Unqualified sub-contractors in many cases without tools of the trade. Later in project, many major jobs outside of painting had to be redone. Signed contract for do-overs not honored. Firm owner disappears when project has problems. Total cost of project very high. Quality very low on most projects. References were based on smaller jobs. Worst part is that signed contracts promises do-overs were not honored. Contractor walked away with money leaving sub-contractors and client waiting for payment or redo--neither of which happened. Initial painting, tile work, electrical, roof, and gutters was done well so client gained confidence to move to other work--renovating and repointing existing stone patio, building a new stairway from existing patio to a new lower patio, repaving driveway, building stone walls for patio and a new driveway gate. But, started to notice discrepancies in
Atlanta General Contractors Provider Name Locked
's invoices after spreadsheeting all charges--revealing overcharges, duplicate charges, and phantom invoices. Made a list of these charges, work that was paid for but not delivered, refunds for bad stonework (labor and materials), and undelivered projects--such as driveway gate. It has been two and a half months and all I have heard is promises, unanswered or full mailbox messages. The promised delivery of receipts about the original materials charges has not taken place (>15 promises). Final reconciliation of bills (>5 promises) has not taken place. Several sub-contractors have been stiffed.

hired a stucco guy he raved about as a sub-contractor for the stone work. Guy who new nothing about stone--level, plumb, pointing, grade lines, drainage, or design.

kept asking me to give the guy a second and then a third

--that he was great. Finally I had to fire the guy after viewing crooked walls, wasted materials, two trucks of concrete, and a lower patio with a bow that looked like the Titanic. All of this stone work had to be demolished--stairways, walls, lower, and upper patio. Mortar joints were very wide and covered stone. Pressure washing and muriatic acid only made matters worse.
Atlanta General Contractors Provider Name Locked
agreed to sit down and settle all invoicing discrepancies, refund labor and materials for the stonework on the patio and walls, and complete other unfinished projects or redo's of unsatisfactory work--kitchen and bathroom cabinets, driveway gate, poorly poured concrete driveway that doesn't even pitch toward an expensive drain system I had installed, and poorly installed cobblestone edging. I took over management of the stonework at that point 10/6/09--
