Computer Repair Service Reviews in Atlanta

called local service who told me it was a routine item a badly infected computer it was fixed in practically one day...
I waste $49.00
- Ricardo N.

arrived to check on problems my computer was having with external communication. In spite of Atlanta traffic, he was on time and smiling. His recommendation was to replace the outdated equipment with new hardware. They put the equipment together and delivered it in four days. It was up and running in an hour, and I no longer have a metal box under my desk to kick.
My level of computer knowledge is shown by my favorite cartoon - a cat standing in front of a pc with a sledge hammer. On the screen is a message - "strike any key". In spite of that, I have always had rapid response to any problem, which can often be fixed remotely.
The computer is working without any problems, and I am totally satisfied with the response and service.

Computer Repair Service reviews in Atlanta

He bragged about his degrees, years in business and said I should be grateful for the great bargain since they spent so much time. But, I said, the time was wasted because it still didn't work. Then he said, well it must be hardware at fault. Oh really, Mr. Export with degrees and experience. If so, you should have known sooner. He was rude, threatening and unprofessional. Awful experience all around. Call them if you are a masochist.

I called
Atlanta Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
Tech on 01-06-14 and told them that I was having "blue screen' issues. They said that they could help me and had me give them $99 dollars. I had a couple different employees work on it over the next week or so, it was initially going to take just a few hours. I give them credit for trying, but in the end my computer was actually running shoddier, failing usually to stay on for more than a minute in the end. I was told that they needed to "do some research" and they would get back to me, it's been a couple weeks plus since I heard from them. I guess I am out the $99.00, and need to take my laptop to another computer repair business. I know $99 is a good deal that's why I called them, I am a single father that is unemployed, and I need my computer. I cannot recommend

Tech's business model, one that refuses to admit when they are in over their head. I would have been fine with a refund and an I am sorry we cannot help. I did not expect this on Angie's list.

did a great job! He called me promptly to set up the service appointment. My computer had quite a few issues; he listened to my complaints and addressed all of them in his repair. He was very patient and persistent in resolving all of the problems. I would definitely recommend this service. It is well worth the money. My computer is faster than it's been in a long time.

, was responsive, timely, professional. In fact I requested a change in appointment time and he was still early. Had to wait on me. It was obvious he had the back ground to fix the problems. Even though I did not understand the computer terminology he made it meaningful for me. At each step he explained what he was doing and why it needed to be done. He was conscious of the time and though he did not rush, he was considerate of the fact that the clock was ticking.
My computer is now running very well. And I am very happy not to be having problems. Even happier to know that I need not dread having a problem because now I have someone who can fix it.

A short list of the insurmountable problems include latency that caused updates taking as much as 60-90 seconds for basic scheduling data entry, constant crashes, particularly when using the email module (that we use constantly), and email and estimate functions that cannot use images, fonts, etc. Moreover, we were informed setup and installation was easy, yet we found it was impossible to set up the software on six computers with out extensive IT help for each unit. Including 3+ calls to your support staff. Finally, our database and network expert worked extensively with Thoughtful Systems support and could not get any confirmation that these weaknesses in programming were going to be addressed in a reasonable amount of time that would allow our business to feel safe in the investment into Thoughtful Systems. The program, quite simply, will not work as advertised, even with experienced in-house IT support. All this at a very hefty price for our small business at $500 a month. We believed this would be an investment that would enable us to grow and run more efficiently. However, we were unable to use it for our most basic daily operations without being constantly infuriated at the lack of performance.
We had several experienced IT staff working with this software for a full month trying to get it to work. We finally contacted
Atlanta Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
to try and get a refund even though we signed paperwork that stated that there are no refunds. We received a long email back from
Atlanta Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
stating that we did not provide enough information regarding the details on our issues. Here is a copy:
Yes, we did receive your request to cancel the rental and we have done so you have not and will not be billed any additional charges. You say that you had problems with the software. However, I
Atlanta Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
’t see those documented here in our support notes. We keep very extensive notes about all interactions with clients. You state you had “insurmountable problems”. I

’t see this documented in your notes and we keep very detailed notes of all interactions with clients and we stand behind our software to make sure it meets reasonable user expectations. We have been doing this for 25+ years and of course we are very concerned that users have a good experience. You state that there were problems with “latency”. You

’t say with what, and it’s not documented in the support notes. You say “constant crashes”. I find that hard to believe. If the program constantly crashed you would not experience problems with latency and I also

’t have any documentation of reports of crashes. Can you document any of these alleged crashes? If you can provide us with exact details for these alleged latency problems or crashing problems we can investigate. With regards to the estimates you say that you cannot use images or fonts, etc, but you have not provided details of what you mean here. The fact is that you are able to modify all the email templates as you want. We do not advertise anything beyond this.

spoke with you and assisted you with setup on several PCs. We do not see any record that you had any further difficulty with installing or setting up the software on any other PCs. The only issue we see in our support notes is something to do with setting up the INI file, which
Atlanta Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
says he explained to you in detail. If you had problems you could have called and we could have assisted you with the setup, but generally users do not have a problem with changing the INI file. I’m sorry that you feel the program didn’t work out for you, but we feel that your allegations are not justified. We are quite clear in our agreement, which you signed, that there is no refund on the rental.

I understand that we signed an agreement, but we signed it with the understanding that the program would be able to do the basic advertised functions in a timely manner. Honestly, this software is extremely old and outdated. Overall, I feel taken advantage of and that this company is not truly concerned with customer service. Also, they have a D- rating on the Better Business Bureau. I have learned a lot about shopping for software too. It has cost my business a lot of staff hours and a $500 monthly to deal with

. Our total cost in resources so far is right at $1200. :(

We had several viruses sneaking in, even though we had a well recognized protection coverage.
This ATG company is very friendly as well as very professional. They work with you as well as focusing on the issues.
We would recommend them for anyone that has computer issues. The appointment was set up and connection made on time. The work does take some time as the whole entity has to be checked out. However, you can receive the service online so you don't have to go to them.
We are very happy with the service.

Services, at my request, scheduled and conducted a remote scan, clean-up, and repairs of my laptop. Initially I was fairly happy with their work. Unfortunately, a few weeks later I found I was continuing to have some problems with my computer. When I contacted ATS with questions and request for help, they were minimally responsive. I received a couple of emails saying they would see if they could help, but never actually received further help. My computer is still giving me problems but I doubt if I would use ATS again. Initially I was fairly happy with their work, but when I was unable to get assistance with continuing problems I felt that I had not received good services.

While he spent a few hours "cleaning" my computer remotely, and while the speed improved and the malware disappeared, I have learned I have to wait a while for the full results. Previously I hired a "geek" promoted by Angies List to help me with some computer issues. I thought he was great. Gave him a good review and I hired him again at a higher price. However later I found so many glitches in the computer that I could not handle, nor could he when I recontacted him, and I ended up spending hours on the phone with the manufacturer and eventually fixed things myself. I feel the Atlanta specialist,

, was
