showed up right on time and immediately got to work loading their truck. They were friendly but professional and efficient. They followed us to the storage facility, which is in
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
. On the trip down, a truck
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
-knifed ahead of us and tied up traffic on I-26 for an hour.
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
first called us to make sure we weren't part of the accident (they couldn't see us ahead) and then walked up to our vehicle to tell us that he wouldn't charge us for the time we were sitting in traffic. This was above and beyond the call. Once they got to the facility, they managed to stuff everything into a 5' x 10' storage unit, which, I had bet my wife, was impossible. Mostly due to
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
's careful eye and detailed planning, they got everything in there. I would use this company (and particularly these two guys) again in a heartbeat.

"We requested estimates from three moving companies. The fellow from
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
came out and looked quite professional. He went around with a hand-held device and seemed to know what he was doing. Because it was right before Thanksgiving, he said he would get the estimate to us by Monday. Monday came and went. Late Tuesday afternoon, I called and he seemed "shocked" that the estimate had not been e-mailed. He said he would see to it and would call to confirm that it arrived. We never heard another word, and nothing showed up in our spam folders online. My intuition tells me that the company is in trouble. Do not use them. We hired Two Men and a Truck."

Tips for moving out of state

"Leading up to the move,
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
communicated well, making sure that all of our questions were answered and reassuring us at every turn. On moving day, they showed up promptly, had me show them all that needed to happen and then went to it. They were fast, efficient and organized (best-packed truck I've ever seen!) while taking great care with our goods and with the house at each end. What was already packed, they loaded with care. What wasn't, they packed carefully. These men were wizards with the shrink wrap and pads, making sure that everything was well-protected. So far, as we unpack, we haven't found anything damaged. They even found ways to dispose of large items that we would had to organize a special trash pick-up for. Everything at our new home was placed and arranged in an organized fashion. Seems strange to say, but

"When I talked with
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
about setting up the move, he had many helpful suggestions about the purchase since I had originally intended to store the fireplace until our next move. The timing was crucial since
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
's Club would only hold the merchandise for 24 hours and I didn't want them to sell out of the item.
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
worked with me and was even able to move up the time for pickup. The outside staircase and door to our apartment was quite difficult to maneuver but the movers were very knowledgeable, careful and efficient. I still can't believe they carried it up without a moving dolly.
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
recognized that there was still time left since we were paying by the hour and offered to help connect the TV to cable. He and
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
picked up all of the packing material and disposed of it for us. I sincerely hope that
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
and
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
will be able to make our next move for us.

"It started out okay. I contacted them from the internet and they quoted me a price. They picked up on time. They then called me and told me that they weighed the truck and my items were 5000 pounds. As their rate is based on pounds the price was much too high versus what they had estimated. I told them there was no way that the items weighed that much. They called back and said they had made a mistake and the correct weight was 3800 pounds. I thought this was still high but at this point they had our stuff. When the goods were delivered I looked inside the truck to see how things were packed. It was awful. Stuff was squashed together and boxes marked fragile were at the bottom of a large pile. A number of items were missing and broken. When they picked up our stuff in Florida they apologized saying they had forgot the identifying stickers to put on our boxes, furniture etc. They promised me as soon as they got back to their warehouse they would put the stickers on. None of our items ever had stickers on them when they were unloaded. They did find our dining room table top at their warehouse and send that to us. Other items they could not find. I then before I unpacked the boxes weighed all of our items and the total weight was 2667 pounds. I sent them an itemized letter requesting a refund for the overcharging. I also filed a complaint with the local Better Business Bureau. They did not respond to me or the Better Business Bureau. Do not use these people. They will overcharge you and not take good care with your possessions. They have not returned my last three phone calls or any of my emails."

"It went well overall. They arrived about 17 minutes late. They were friendly, courteous, and professional. They worked steadily, albeit not quite as efficiently as some other movers I've seen. One bookshelf started to come apart when they unloaded it, but I don't think this reflected any negligence on their part. They finished in slightly over two hours, but they did not charge me for the extra hour."

"They arrived late; they were painfully slow; they did not send enough workers; multiple items were damaged but were repaired except for the floor (some items took as long as six months to get fixed)."

"When I moved to Asheville 4 months ago, an experienced moving team from Chicago was reluctant to move 6 large bookcases into the back room of our condo which has a narrow hall and a low beam ceiling.
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
movers arrived promptly as scheduled, assessed the logistics and with incredible skill, moved these huge pieces of furniture into the new location. These guys are really strong. The space was so tight, it would have been impossible to maneuver with a dolly. They lifted the cases and twisted and turned them into the back room and into position without a scratch on the furniture or walls. It looks so nice! I called 3 local movers before choosing
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
. The other two companies had a charge for just coming out.
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
had a flat fee of $105.00/hr. I made the appointment on Friday and they were able to do the job the next day. They were very personable and professional.

"I purchased a large but delicate
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
and thought it would fit into the elevator of our building. What a surprise when the delivery men told us it could not be brought up to the second floor by the elevator or stairs. It was a clearance item and could not be returned. After the initial panic, I started calling movers in the Yellow Pages. (Note: I had a great moving experience recently from another company on Angie's List but couldn't remember the name of the company until after I found Chip). This job was going to require a lift to bring the
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
over the second floor balcony from outside the building and into our living room from the porch. I finally contacted
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
Equipment Rental and was informed that the
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
could probably moved on a material lift which rented for $65.00/day plus $110.00 round trip transport on a flat bed tow truck. The
Asheville Movers Provider Name Locked
representative gave me Chips name. He did it!
