Countertop Installation Reviews in Asheville

Work was not done by date promised. We needed the work done by a specific date because we were having guests and made them aware. We had been asked to postpone until
which we could not do because it would fall right when our company would be in the house. We asked them to either do it by the agreed date or postpone until August. They chose the agreed upon date knowing why the deadline was so important. The visit was a disaster. The drywall installers didn't cover the cold air intakes and the entire house was covered in drywall dust (it has been over seven months and we're still discovering white dust in various nooks and crannies around the house). Our guests finally had to retreat to a hotel. This wasn't the worst of it. The floor tiles were not properly leveled and the tiles are at different heights and
. Cracks have formed in several places and grout has come loose. When repairs were done on the tiles, the grout was a different color, tiles cracked again, and in one case the installer sawed into an adjoining tile. It's still there, waiting to be replaced. There is now a single, long crack in the floor tile that runs across three tiles.
has been informed several times, promised to repair it a few months ago, and has yet to perform the repairs. The toilet had to be refitted twice because of leaks, only to learn later that the tiles underneath were so uneven that the toilet wouldn't sit level on the floor. It took nearly a dozen shims the fix the problem. Many other "fixes" were done that were at best poor, and at worst completely amateurish. These are far too numerous to detail here, but I have many photos that I would be happy to share with anyone who would even remotely consider using this company. After the enormous amount of money we spent on this debacle, my wife and I decided to do much of the work ourselves. We have fixed most of the problems and many months later have finally been able to prep and paint the walls. Many issues
, but it's become clear that these will not be addressed by this company. This was a very big job and
was clearly not up to the task. It would have been far better if they had admitted this up front and saved us all a lot of trouble.

The staff at Mt. Marble and granite were friendly, professional and did an excellent job installing our beautiful granite counter tops.

We were able to take large samples home to finalize our decision. The staff was extremely cordial and helpful.
It is an interesting showroom with a variety of products. They made a special effort to have the installer come by to see the space and he was able to fit us into his schedule quickly. This helped with the timing of other work that was being done in our house.

Friendly, knowledgeable, good selection of slabs, helpful in evaluating design's +/-, reasonable price levels, prompt, owners participated, team members knew what they were doing, up to date equipment, clean, and trustworthy.

I was in town briefly from out of state to buy our townhouse, and stopped in at their showroom downtown to look at samples. Salesman was more knowledgable and informative about bamboo flooring than another, larger flooring place I visited, because this business specializes in "green" flooring. They lent me flooring samples and were able to work with my tight schedule to get an estimator to the house the next day to measure while we were doing our home inspection. I had the actual work done over a month later, right after the closing. This involved phone and email communication from out of town, but they were very prompt with responding. We bought a townhouse with carpeting upstairs, which we were replacing with bamboo to be less allergenic and more durable. The installers did a great job. It took two days, and they cleaned up the entire work area and put everything away at night even though the house wasn't yet occupied. I was especially impressed with their installation along a curved wall. The new flooring looks beautiful. They also sell natural countertops and paint.

and his team did a great job on this challenging project. As is often the case when dealing with a house in really bad shape the full extent of the repairs is often not known until the work begins.

was terrfic at communicating throughout the job and giving multiple solutions for me to choose from for each job that came up. I feel like I recieved value and great work for the money and would definitely use him again and recommend to anyone.

They were good and did what they said they would do. I was pleased with their work. I think they could?ve given me a better price even though they weren?t overly expensive. I have no complaints about them.

explained the process of painting over our existing

counter tops as well as the care, warranty, etc. It was interesting and compared well with other options (although we ultimately decided to live with what we have). I asked to see large samples and get recommendations from previous customers and was told he would send us the names and phone numbers of customers. They never arrived.

Exceptionally. The up front scope, estimate, quality and timing were all done exceptionally well and professionally. This is the best sub contractor we worked with in up-fitting our new condominium. We were new to the area and

and his staff all treated us superbly and honestly.
