"Con't from above....After taking my truck to have the second opinion, come to find out that someone at Firestone/Long
Rd. had Stripped out one of the spark plug holes in the cylinder head. Firestone people at this location was trying to pass my truck by to me advising me that my engine had a bad cylinder in it. I had to have the cylinder bored out and sleeve by the another company and Firestone Long
Rd had to pay the repair cost. $550.00+) I have been taking my car's and truck's to this location for many years, having all the services done, buying new tires etc. and they do this to me., to say I was upset is a major understandment. Their is more to this story, but I will leave it up to each person to do what they feel is the best for them and where they would take there cars for service. As I told the General Manager at this location, never again will I have service done on my cars and trucks at this Firestone Store location. Can no longer trust them!

"My wife has been taking her cars to
Asheville Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
Tires for over 30 years now. She was always pleased with the scheduling, maintenance, and performance of the staff. Never has she been let down. Meanwhile, I was always looking for the cheapest place to get tires, which most often was chain stores. After having less than satisfactory tire life and tire alignment with those kind of places, I switched over to
Asheville Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
as well. When it came time to replace tires,
Asheville Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
or one of his employees could suggest at least three tire options for the particular vehicle we were driving. There were always options for price, tire life expectancy, and type of driving that we anticipated so we always felt good about the tire choice we made.
The staff is friendly and schedules us realistically. The result is we're told in advance how long the job is expected to take. we've never had to return a vehicle to the store due to bad workmanship. The job is done right the first time.

"I just happened to notice last Friday that my right front tire - which had lost a slight bit of pressure several days earlier, and which I had topped back up at that time - had now become virtually flat. After re-inflating it, I determined that it was stable enough for me to drive it over to
Asheville Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
, only a couple miles away. Within about 5 minutes of my arriving, they took off the tire and checked it for leaks. What they found - and showed me - was that the leak was in the sidewall, which was therefore not capable of being repaired, and that it was basically caused by the tire's age. In fact I myself had previously observed that all 4 tires were showing many small cracks, indicating that they were all beginning to fail. So while this was not welcome news, it was also not unexpected. He offered to sell me a used tire of similar age to replace this one, but thoughtfully encouraged me to consider getting all new tires. Since I had previously been strenuously encouraged several times by different people not to replace only one or even two tires at a time on my all-wheel-drive Subaru, but to do all four at once, I somewhat reluctantly - but willingly - agreed. They had my tire size in stock, and in less than half an hour I was on my way again, now with 4 new tires (
Asheville Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
's speed & efficiency was a particularly big help, as I had company arrive from out of state literally at the very moment I was discovering my flat).

Asheville Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
had been extremely helpful to me in the past, and had at that time demonstrated an exceptional degree of care in NOT over-charging me. I had that same sense of honesty and integrity this time with them, which was why, despite the financial strain, I felt OK about going ahead with purchasing all four new tires. I am also well aware that tires of any worthwhile quality are simply going to be expnesive, and there's not much any dealer can do about that. I could perhaps have found cheaper tires had I been willing to really chase it, but doubt I would have found anything cheaper that was also of worthwhile quality.

This place is about the 4th or 5th service provider I've found through Angie's List since moving here less than 3 years ago. They have all been - without exception - extremely helpful and respectful, and I feel that I've gotten in each situation quite excellent value for my money from them, very important to me on my limited, fixed income. Thanks bunches!l

"I called the company and received an immediate quote to do the replacement. They even called me back a couple of times when the call dropped out. Since it was a special order, it took two weeks for the tire to arrive. I was away so I couldn't get there for a couple of more weeks but when I called they told me "Anytime you like." so I took the tire and wheel out to them and they had the old one off and the new one on in about 15 minutes. They did not have the nitrogen (I did say it was an expensive tire) to fill it but that was easily done back in Asheville.

Let me be clear, this is not a bunch of drop-outs or parolees. They are a very clear-eyed group of professionals. The shop is spotless. I was very impressed.

I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. Definitely worth the drive from Asheville to have them work on your car.

"I arrived without an appt. and
Asheville Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
took my information. She inspected my vehicle and gave me a reasonable quote. After about 15 minutes she came back and gave me a lower quote based on finding two tires that were a better match. Work was completed in under an hour."

"It was good. They gave me a call back and told me how much it was going to cost and I felt like they did a good job. It was a reasonable price for what I had done."

"Brought in a flyer from
Asheville Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
. They matched the tire cost, but by the time I finished paying, they had tacked on an additional 39 dollars for rotation and 39 dollars for unlimited balancing. They did a good job with the service and was very friendly and helpful. Ending up paying more. At the end, it cost me an additional 69 dollars due to car out of alignment. Went in expecting to pay about $500. Came out paying $643. Kind of suckered me in. Be careful. they are slick! But nice to deal with."
