"Installers were punctual and professional. They asked me about locations for new piping & duct work & installed them seamlessly. They were very careful & cleaned up everything very well. Only minor glitch was that they were so busy at the time, they were short a person & had to come back a second day to finish the AC. Not a problem since it was Fall.

"I ordered the $49 service call and was told they would arrive between 10am and 2pm. At 1:35pm I called them because no one had arrived yet. I was then told they were delayed and wouldn't be able to show up until maybe 3:30. It was snowing that day and had they called me to tell me they were delayed I could have worked around it.

"I called
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to address a leak in the heating system that was causing water to pool at the base of the furnace. The tech came and noticed a leak in the pipe that vented furnace exhaust to the outside of the house. He said it was leaking because the pipe was not at the proper pitch (should have been angled but was level).
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
had originally installed the system in 2009 and the installers had obviously not done it properly.
The tech repaired the pipe to create the proper pitch, and then handed me a bill for $200. I refused since the unit came with a 5-year parts and labor warranty.
The tech left, however the next day I noticed that water was still pooling at the base of the furnace. I called
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and the tech returned, however he could not locate the source of the leak. He recommended I replace the condensation pump, despite the fact that it seemed to be working and the pool of water was nowhere near it. I declined and was then handed a bill for $300 (previous repair and the service call for that day) and was told that my warranty was void since I had not used
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
for my annual cleanings.
I was subsequently able to identify the source of the leak which was as a result of a missing hose clamp inside the unit - something the tech missed despite examining the unit twice.
I'm very disappointed with the poor job
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
did installing the unit, and their unwillingness to stand behind their warranty agreement.

"it didn't go. I had to give a rating for this, which wasn't accurate since nothing was done. My comments are just a suggestion that limitations/etc be listed in the information given by the company.

"We were very pleased with how quickly they scheduled our cleaning - another company told us it would be three weeks to get into the calendar. Service seemed good, everyone was pleasant to deal with.

Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
did a site visit and provided us an estimate within 48 hours.
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
knows his craft and the local ordinances in Albany too. His proposal for the work was preferred over a previous proposal we had done by another area contractor. He followed up via email after we were slow to respond.
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was always available on phone and email and responsive to our questions. He also provided us with suggestions on where to find and have our radiator painted. When we were ready to move forward he stopped by with contract (he was very flexible - as we had to reschedule this to later in the evening).
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
also took care of the local permitting, going to City Hall and meeting with the inspectors. He and his crew arrived on time and they were all polite and professional. They cleaned up at the end of the work days and again after the project was complete. They even worked beyond their normal time in order to get the project to the finish line. Not only does the system look great, it performs beyond expectation. They team did all the little things too which makes a big difference and less stressful as homeowners. We are thrilled by the system, the work, and the people. We know who we'll call when we need any plumbing work.

"\It took this company nearly 3 weeks to finish the work On the first day they left me with no explanation why the air conditioning was not working over a very hot weekend. There was no effort to communicate with me the reason for the delay. No communication from the company during the extended time of installation and I prepaid the entire sum. I will not do that ever again. In order to replace the boiler, the original salesperson said there would be no problem replacing my old unit with a new one and the available area was sufficient.
Instead, the workers had to move my water heater (and turned up the heat on the existing water heater to scaldiing), and tried to sell me a new water heater for $900 more. The water heater was fine and now, the City of Albany Water service people came in to replace their monitoring device but
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
have moved the water heater right in front of the monitoring device with no room to even reach the monitor. The replacement of the defective monitor may require the movement of the water heater AGAIN and I don't believe that cost of labor to move the water heater this time should be my responsibility, since it was
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
who misplaced the unit during the replacement of my boiler. Their lack of forethought regarding the necessity of reaching the water meter has me facing more time off to allow the Water Department access to the meter. And remember the salesman swore there would be no problem in getting the new boiler into the space where the existing boiler was. I should not be facing this problem if the salesperson knew what he was talking about.
There were additional problems with fitting the air conditioning exchange unit in the space where the old one was and the installers could only work in 15 minute stints because it was so hot in my attic where they had to work. Again, no one from the sales force or office told me what was happening and why the delays in completing the job. The only time the office staff or sales force contacted me was during the sales pitch but not on the follow up.
My experience with
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
has left a very bitter taste in my mouth and an uncertainty about the reliance of Angie List recommendations.

"First, calling into the
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
office, I was greeted with a nicely toned voiced. The young woman who answered the phone was very pleasant and helpful. I had asked a specific question which the woman handed me off to another very pleasant woman, who answered my questions and scheduled my appointment. She even told me about a coupon available on Angies List that I could save some money.
I was lucky that they had an opening the next morning. The next morning the service tech "
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
" arrived a bit prior to the scheduled time and my tenant told him he would have to come back at 10am when I arrived, which
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
had right on the button. He was pleasant, professional and very knowledgeable. Really made me feel comfortable and explained many aspects of my system and allowed me to ask many questions. He cleaned my system and recharged the freon. I was very happy with the service. matter of fact, a contractor I work with on other properties and project I called him and asked him if he ever used
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
.? He said he had not, but I did encourage him to give them a shot on his need project / job needing any HVAC work.
The change out of my thermostat was quick and painless. Again,
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
explained the thermostat, how to correctly use it and made sure I was comfortable with using it.
I must say I have used other HVAC companies on projects and jobs previously. I'm thinking
Albany HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. are my go-to guys now. I would highly recommend them. I'm continually asked who I would recommend for specific jobs from friends and relatives. I'll be telling them

"Service is and continues to be exemplary.

Only minor qualm is with price. I haven't compared with others, but it seems a little expensive.

Otherwise, his experience and extensive, his knowledge of new products is impressive. He has a quick and efficient manner. If the job needs to be done right (and what job doesn't need to be done right?), use him. Hopefully he doesn't retire any time soon.

(And he has a lot of knowledge of the Albany are. Get him talking - he is lots of fun.)
