's services, work and work ethics are superior. Rain came into an opening over one of my doors after a bad storm. My neighbor suggested that I call the company they used to install their awnings, Peachtree Awning. Despite my numerous calls to Peachtree Awning they never responded. I remembered that I could use Angie's List and I found
at Southeast Awning. He responded promptly. He came out to give me estimates and left color swatch samples for me to choose. I needed help in making my selections and he gave me concise professional suggestions. He followed up with email pictures of exactly what I would get and a total price. I agreed and he did the installation in less than the 3 week estimate. He did not wait for me to be at home to do the installation and I was very pleased not to have to arrange my schedule for this.
followed-up with a thank you post card and email.. It was the nicest service experience I have ever had. The awnings are beautiful and according to my neighbors, 1/2 the cost of Peachtree Awning. I highly recommend
to anyone looking for awning services.

Awning reviews in Albany

I had purchased black canvass awnings with white trim seven years ago and they were very dirty and had mildew. I called several places but
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
was the most reasonable and able to do them right away as I did not want to wait until the end of summer.
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
was my salesman and was very nice and accommodating and went out of his way to make sure I got them cleaned within a week of contacting him. I happened to stop home for lunch and the employee was just finishing up the job. He did an excellent job! He restored the black to looking black and got the mildew out of the white trim and put the sealer on. I was very happy!

My wife purchased on recommendation of our architect as part of a home remodel around 8 years ago. It was a small job involving just 4
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
over a rear deck. The first installer was a young man who had no idea how to build the superstructure. He had to call the company which sent someone else the next day to help who seemed more knowledgeable. However, when they finished, the wooden structure was a box with none of the craftsman type details in the pictures we had seen. When we pointed that out, they said they could only work with the materials they had been provided so right off the bat we were disappointed. To complicate matters our architect came down with cancer and wasn't able to continue on the project. I suppose we should have called the company and complained but at that point we were relieved it was done and removal would have required a lot of stucco repair. So we decided to live with it and it has provided shade. Only later when I had to replace some of the plastic parts of the slide assembly did I discover that they had not cut enough off the end of the slides to allow me to remove the

for cleaning or move the end stops to shorten the
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
to allow for the inevitable fabric shrinkage. The fabric has held up remarkably well given that it is up all year round. But then we do live in Southern California with mild weather and little rain. The plastic pieces that allow the
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
to work and stay in place tend to get brittle and break over time and they are ridiculously expensive, especially after adding in shipping costs. And the vinyl coating on some of the metal parts like the rod to pull the
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
soon starts to crack and fall off. Perhaps they are made sturdier today. Hopefully the installation is done more professionally. But even so I wouldn't recommend these except for a small patio. Having to manually open and close the
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
gets to be a nuisance, especially if you have more than 4-5. And then you have the problem that an occasional breeze will cause the
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
to come free and then you have to get the rod to correct the problem - or worse, get out a ladder to climb up and adjust the stops

We called
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
and made an appointment to get an estimate on having a new awning installed.
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
arrived on time to give us the estimate. We showed him where we wanted the awning and what we wanted. He showed us various pictures of the types of awning available and showed us samples of the colors and patterns. He did not bring a latter to measure the area, so I went into the garage and brought him a latter. After measuring the area, he wrote down what we wanted and what it would cost. I looked at his hand written estimate and we agreed on the price (inlcuding an Angie's List courtesy discount). I then asked him for a copy of the estimate and he told me he would email it to me the next day. After two days, I contact Superior to ask about the estimate; within a day
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
emailed me the estimate. Unfortunately the price listed was not the price we had discussed, so I sent him an email asking him about the price. He sent me a revised estimate; I agreed to the price and asked that we schedule the work.
After several days of not hearing from
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
, I phoned
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
to ask if they could get us another salesperson, because
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
was obviously too busy and with warm weather approaching, I wanted the work done as soon as possible. Instead they had
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
contact me again. He left me a message, letting me know he had car trouble (accident?) which is why he had not contacted me. He then sent me an email message letting me know I had to provide credit card information before they could schedule the work. So, I called Superior to give them my credit card information. The person who answered looked up the agreement, but it still had the wrong price. I told her that the price was not correct and she told me she did not have the updated estimate, so she asked me to email her my copy and then I gave her my credit card information. After several days (1 week?) they called to schedule the actual work.
We were given a specific time for installation (between 10am and 2pm). At 1:30pm on the scheduled day, their workers had not shown up, so we called the office to make sure they would be there. The woman told us they were running late, but they would be there by 2pm. The workers finally arrived at 3:30pm, never calling us to let us know. When they arrived they were confused about where the awning was going to be installed, telling us they would have to relocate our porch light. We told them the awning was not being installed by the porch light, so they would not have to relocate it. When they started installing the awning we noticed it was not what we had ordered: we order an awning without side panels. They continued to install it and realized the measurements were wrong, which meant they had to move our gutters!! That same evening I send the company an email message indicating all the problems and that they needed to fix these problems: side panels and awning dimension.
After a couple of days I get a call from their office asking if we were available on the following Tuesday for their workers to come remove the awning and then available a couple of days after that to reinstall it. I asked what they were going to do, since she had not mentioned they had received my email or review what I had written. She said they were going to fix the awning and replace it. I agreed and the person who came out to remove it immediately noticed the problems (they were not subtle issues). The person who came back a couple of days later was very personable and professional and left only after we said we were satisfied. The awning looks great and we love it once it now that it was installed properly.
Their customer service needs some training. we've had many contractors in the past and we understand that mistakes are made. It's the response of the customer service that can either fix the problem or make it worse. In this case,
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
's customer service, for our situation, was bad and made the situation worse. Also, why would
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
(owner's son?) arrive to give an estimate without a latter, especially since he is about 5'5" tall and obviously not tall enough to measure roof lines without the help of a latter?

They shades were installed perfectly and provide shading for the entire deck. First installer quit before the installation. Second installer was perfect. Then when we wanted to install shades, they recommended a perfect prson to install them.

On Saturday, June 21,
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
came to my home to provide an estimate for three large exterior solar blinds for my deck and patio. He measured, provided product samples and said he would have an estimate the following Monday-Tuesday. Two weeks later I heard nothing from him so I reached out to him for a status of the estimate. He replied to my email saying he was out of town and would be returning
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
14 and would get the estimate to me as soon as he returned. Today is
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
21, one month later from original visit, and still no estimate nor communication of any kind.

I had a spring break on my one garage door. I had used
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
before to fix my springs and install my garage openers. Last time I has springs replaced, C State charged me $190. in 2010. I received the bill after the installation this time, it was $276. to replace 2 springs. You have got to be kidding right. Not long after the right spring was making a loud metal noise almost like a gun shot when the door would close. So after paying $276. to them, I called them and told them I wanted someone to come out and fix the one spring, especially after paying $276. I told the lady, I get off at 12:00 and will be home by 12:15 That day I received a phone call at work from the same guy who installed the springs saying he was at my house and no one was home. I told him that I told the lady I would be working until 12:00, and asked if you would be there for another 15 mins till I got there. He said, yeah If you can be there in 15 mins. I HURRIED home and this dude seemed very irritated because he had to wait for me. I told him again it was not my fault, I told the lady on the phone. He fixed the problem, then I said, which I regret, I hope you did not need to wait too long. He said, about a half hour I will not be using this company again, and felt very disrespected as a customer

Wonderfully. Very easy install even for a diy kind of guy. The product is very well manufactured and durable. Would and have recommended this firm to my friends and family

The Good: The installation was fast. The quality of the product is great. Salesman showed up right on time.
The not-so-good: Salesman said the office would contact me in 2 or 3 business days to set up the installation which was 3-4 weeks out. The salesman requested 1/2 the quoted amount as a deposit. When 3 business days passed and I didn't get a call I called them. I was told that the installation is 3-4 weeks out and that there was nothing to call me about since my salesman already told me that.
Albany Awning Companies Provider Name Locked
? I pushed back to what the salesman said and she put me off to say a manager would call me. Manager did call me but was surprised that I expected a call on installation prior to a few days before they would install when it was 3-4 weeks out. Really? So they weren't going to follow up on this order that was half paid for until nearly a month later? I expected what the salesman told me and you have $800 of my money so a follow up in a few days was reasonable service to expect.
A couple more weeks went call came... and I had to call again to find out about installation. I was told what stage the production was at and that it would be about another week. In about 10 days I had to call again. I was stern with the receptionist about my expectations and frustration of not being kept informed about my order but she just kept her cool and repeated her script. Manager called me same day to set installation date.
When they were not showing up 1/2 hour after the time promised on installation date, I called and was told they have a flat tire and can't make it. No one called me to tell me that. Really? Cell phones and all and you don't call a client you know is waiting when you get a flat?
After delivering a few stern words about having to rearrange our schedules to be there for installation, I got an installation date for the next day. They were on time and it went great. The product is very good. My house looks pretty with the awnings. I was relieved.
Upon paying the balance to the installer he told me the office would mail me a paid-in-full receipt and a warranty certificate. That was on 6-27-14 and as of today, 7-17-14 I have neither. When I called for my receipt and warranty the person that answered just didn't seem to care that I was miffed about all the follow up that fell on me to do.
So all in all the product and installation is really good. If you don't mind doing all the administrative follow up then go ahead and use this company. Just don't expect them to keep you informed in a proactive manner.
