COMPLAINT: David O'Neill, Duluth, Minn.
"I bought a new leather couch from Slumberland Inc. a little more than a year ago. I recently noticed a lump running down the middle, suggesting the inner cushion is coming apart.
"Slumberland told me there is only a one-year warranty on the cushion, but a lifetime warranty on the frame."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like for Slumberland to fix the cushion on my couch."
RESPONSE: Tom Sonnek, product service manager, Slumberland Inc.
"Slumberland stands behind the manufacturer's warranty. This customer is nearly six months out of warranty for labor and cushions. In addition, the problem may not be due to a manufacturing defect."
