Date Published: Feb 08 2011
COMPLAINT: Brian Caro, Hayward, Calif.
"I purchased a reclining sofa and chair from Macy's Furniture Store in Pleasanton [Calif.]. Everything seemed to be fine for the first two weeks. Then I noticed a rippling on the leather sofa. It was extremely uncomfortable to sit on. They sent out a technician, who told me there were no defects. He took pictures, but they can't see anything in the photos. They contacted the manufacturer and said they are not going to stand behind the warranty. I also bought an extended warranty, but it is still under the manufacturer's warranty."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want the sofa repaired or replaced."
STATUS: Penalty Box
