Unfinished attic door work leads to complaint
COMPLAINT: Alicia Castleberry, Pickerington, Ohio
"David Wear, owner of Decorator's Choice in Columbus, agreed to install an attic ladder for $320. He's worked for me before, so I trusted him and gave him money upfront to buy the ladder. He bought the wrong ladder, so I told him to keep the money for the installation fee and I'd buy the [correct] ladder myself. After I got the ladder, Dave returned to install it, but he realized the drywall around the attic opening would need to be fitted with a piece of wood that could be opened and closed. He said he'd come back to finish the job, but he didn't. He also hasn't returned my calls or e-mails."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want the attic opening properly enclosed with the wood cover."
STATUS: Penalty Box
