Muncy says he's pleased with the new screen. "It's fine," he says. "She's bumped into it since, but it hasn't been subjected to that kind of battering- ram force again."

Muncy's daughter and friends were in the hot tub in Muncy's three-season room, and called for the family's wheaten terrier, Kelsey, to join them. "Kelsey's not terribly bright," Muncy says. "She's got a lot of hair in her eyes and doesn't see well on a good day. She came through the screen with a lot of speed and nearly ended up in the tub. It was a pretty comical scene."
