Failed to respond to Noelle Ryan's request for a full refund for work she says her car didn't need. First month in the Box.
Off with their hood!
COMPLAINT: Noelle Ryan, Jacksonville, Fla.
"I took my car to Tires Plus [in Ponte Vedra Beach] to have the tires replaced. They found additional work they said needed to be done, including the front brakes and rotors, alternator drive belt and battery. I authorized the additional work.
"Upon arriving home, I noticed the hood latch was sticking out. It was broken. I opened the hood using the inside latch but was unable to close it.
"I called Tires Plus, and they told me to bring the car in the next day and not to drive it that evening. They also told me to tie the hood down, which I did the next morning. On the way to the store, the hood flew up. I called Tires Plus, and they asked what I wanted them to do.
"I then received the most abysmal customer service I've ever experienced. They blamed the incident on me and told me I'd have to pay for the new latch. Ultimately, I paid nothing for the repair of the hood, but the experience was horrible. I later found out I didn't need new rotors."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "They refunded a portion of the brake work, however I feel they owe me a full refund. I'd like the balance of $189."
