Things to keep in mind when hiring a professional carpet cleaner

Submitted by David Blaine of Ability Chem-Dry Carpet Cleaning

When people call a professional carpet cleaner, they always want to how much service will cost. Too often, they are really not investigating what carpet cleaning includes. Prices can vary considerably, but often the lowest prices are excluding important requirements in order to complete the job that needs done.

Professionals ask questions to find out what service you really need. A carpet with a pet urine odor problem requires additional time and product. A carpet with colored dye-type stains and soiling from years of neglect also take additional time and product to produce desired results.

Established, fully-trained, experienced company and technicians with the newest equipment technology and cleaning products will charge more than an inexperienced person using an obsolete set-up and laundry detergent. Safe and green cleaning products will cost more but should always be used.

With an established company, they will likely carry business/liability insurance, workman’s compensation insurance and a reputation to uphold. These companies will come back if a customer has an issue with the results and do what they can to make it right and the customer satisfied.

Using the Internet to locate a company is fine, but do some third-party validation. The Better Business Bureau is a great resource. After all, anyone can use a cell phone and put up a website and call themselves a “professional carpet cleaning company."

Every cleaning job a company does for you should have a goal to make you want to use them again in the future and to also refer them to your friends and family.

Ability Chem-Dry has become the world's largest rug, upholstery and carpet cleaning service through the combination of innovative research and technology, premium equipment and solutions and expert staff.
