Description of experience: "My son received stitches for large dog-bite marks."

Member comments: "A family member had a golden retriever that bit my 10-month-old son, Britton. The bite left a huge gash on the bridge of his nose in the shape of a backward L — it was almost in the corner of both eyes wide. He also had a few bites on the side of his forehead.

"The emergency room doctor told us we would need a plastic surgeon and called the best one he knew, which was Dr. Lai. Everyone in the medical field that hears the story and sees my son's tiny scar says Dr. Lai is awesome at what he does. I'm a firm believer he's the best. Everyday I look at my son, I thank God we were blessed with Dr. Lai's gift!"

Brosy says the dog that bit Britton was put to sleep, but it wasn't a mean dog. "It was a rescue dog with food aggression issues," she says. "It bit Britton because he had crawled near its bowl."
