Window pains
COMPLAINT: Joyce Evans, Drexel Hill, Pa.
"I hired Fine Painters to paint the exterior of my home. They were very nice, but did sloppy work. There was paint all over the window panes because they didn't tape them off. They painted some of the windows shut. My home's exterior is stone, and I have to hire people to clean it because Fine Painters dripped paint all over the stone. It took a long time to get them to come back and clean up their sloppy work."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'm not asking for anything more than what I paid for; I want these issues fixed."
STATUS: Resolved
Permit puzzle
COMPLAINT: P. Thomas, Bristol, Pa.
"C.D. Kaller Inc. replaced my roof. They deducted an adjustment for the cost of the decking, but they never replaced a piece of wood from an overhead gutter. Their contract stated they would apply for a roof permit, but they never picked up or paid for the permit."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want C.D. Kaller, Inc. to pay for half - or as close as possible - of the cost of the permit."
STATUS: Resolved
